Quick backstory...I went to the ER two weeks ago for bleeding. I should have been 5.5 weeks, but all they saw was a sac. So they said I likely had a blighted ovum. Saw my OB two days later. He diagnosed a SCH and said he thought I ovulated late, so was just too early to see more than a sac. I went from two days of crying and having no hope, to being optimistic again. I've had almost no bleeding since and lots of nausea and other symptoms. My betas rose and things just seemed good.
I went back today for a checkup. There was a sweet baby with a beating heart! And it measured right on track (with the expected late ovulation date). But right next to the sac, the hematoma has also grown. It's big. My OB is still optimistic and not as worried. But he gave me the option of opting out of my pap and pregnancy lab work today and waiting until things look better, so that makes me worry. And I committed the cardinal sin...I googled. So now I'm absolutely terrified! I think mentally it just seemed easier when there was an empty sac. Now there's a baby, doing exactly what it's supposed to do with no idea of the rest of my uterus.
I know now no one has a crystal ball. I'm not asking for advice. I'd love to hear stories, good or bad, if any of you ladies have been through this before. Thanks for hearing my fears and venting.

There's a few of us on the Nov 16 board with SCHs of varying sizes. I was dx at about 5+5, with a large SCH (hemorrhage was >50% of the size of the gestational sac) next to one of my twins. At that ultrasound, all that was visible was the gestational sacs and yolk sacs. My next ultrasound at 6+5 showed two babies with heartbeats and a slightly larger hemorrhage. At last check (8+3) we had two beautiful heart beats and an SCH that was half the size it had started out at. We're hoping it's gone by my NT scan at 13 weeks.
