    I'm going to go ahead and give TWT to myself. Waiting for baby is driving me crazy and I just let myself think about all the bad things that can happen. And now I'm feeling pretty melancholy. Thankfully my baby just did a 5 minute dance in my belly, otherwise I'd probably be even more worried for no reason. 40 weeks pregnant is no joke!

    The receptionist at my OB's office is a TW. What the hell, I had an appointment tomorrow for 10:30 and she calls today to tell me to come in at 9:30 instead because they are changing my appointment. What if I had plans? It seems rude for her to TELL ME to come early and not ASK if I can make it early. I asked if there were any other options and she was very rude and told me there is nothing else. What the hell? How is that even possible? She was super rude about it all.

    TWT to the family members trying to talk me into having this baby on the 21st. First off, I have ZERO control over when this child decides to arrive. Secondly, I don't want to be past due even if it is by a day so I'm still holding out hope that I will go into labor today or tomorrow. Third, I don't want my child to have a birthday on the date that my uncle passed away. The man was very special to me and I loved him dearly, but I don't want to think of his death every time we celebrate my child's birthday.

    Think I'm going with the Ten Things Tuesday options, because...

    1. I got possibly the best night's sleep of my 3rd trimester last night, and even though I'm still exhausted, it's made a huge improvement in my attitude.
    2. Husband's monthly poker game was Friday night. He drives 2 hours to Indiana for it, and is usually back home between midnight and 3 am, depending on how well he plays; this time, he walked in the door a little before 10. Apparently he decided that he had a pregnant wife at home who he didn't feel comfortable leaving alone, went all in on the first hand, and was the first man out. 
    3. I have been completely preoccupied with other things and have barely paid attention to the "Hawks during the regular season... but man does the postseason remind me how much I love hockey!
    4. Grateful that warm weather has finally showed up, because right now the only shoes I can squeeze into are one of my pairs of flip flops, and I own maybe 3 outfits that don't expose the bottom few inches of my belly. I can't imagine being this pregnant in the dead of winter.
    5. I haven't cried in more than 48 hours! Except for the brief tears when I read the headline and associated on that NYT article about how 3/4 of the world's dogs are "dogs without collars," and then again when I made the mistake of reading the comments (incidentally, the article itself was interesting but not a tearjerker at all). I didn't sob, though, so... success!
    6. I want this baby out of me SO BAD.  
    7. The lady at Cinnabon saw me coming from halfway across the food court and had my cinnamon roll ready to go before I even got to the counter. I guess that makes me a regular, huh?
    8. Conference call with my most difficult client this afternoon.  Baby went NUTS at the sound of his voice, which I think means we need to schedule a conference call every day for the rest of my pregnancy. Maybe he can coax her out of there.  
    9. Boss just came in to tell me that another coworker, whose wife is pregnant and due within a day or two of me, is officially a dad as of 6 a.m. this morning. I may have released a stream of loud invectives.  So unfair!
    10. I have a huge crush on Nate Silver, and the only thing more exciting for me than tonight's Blackhawks/Blues playoff game will be the primary results coming out of NY. Kind of a political junkie.

    2. Trying to determine whether I should cook or or order mediocre Chinese
    3. I'm sleepy AF
    4. Baby is obviously not interested in sleep like me
    5. (Two hour time lapse since I started this post)
    6. Didn't order takeout, just eating what I can with one hand
    7. Breastfeeding again :groan:
    8. My breastfeeding app says that I've breastfed a grand total of 4982 hours 
    9. I am reading posts on The Bump with one hand while fumbldoing a cradle hold on the other
    10. TTT is my evening on loop
