Hi all-

I know it's not just me, but I can tell there are quite a few of us feeling down in the dumps. I was thinking I could personally use some good news and/or happy thoughts, so I thought I'd post. So, even though it's Monday, rainy here in Omaha, and I'm still bummed about my BFNs this weekend, I thought I'd propose a post of happiness!

So, please, post something great that happened today, or your favorite gif that always brings a smile to your face! I know I need it and I know there are quite a few people here who could use it today.

Yet ANOTHER one of my students got a big scholarship for next year! Anyone remember my student who couldn't include her tax information, so wasn't able to apply for a MAJOR scholarship? Well, she was able to apply for a different scholarship, and SHE GOT IT!!! WOOHOO! So proud of her!!!!

@Megzb510 - Wow! That is a tough one! I think I would have to go with B. I hate doing dishes and some times I just don't feel like cooking.

I like that! I agree about not wanting my roommate to be a bartender!

@megzb510 I'm going with A on that one! I can handle the cooking and clean up, if the rest of my house is cleaned. I also don't have trouble sleeping, and yes, I'd have to hard pass on the live in bartender.

I'm in the office by myself today, and the sun is shining, so I have the window open and am listening to HP & the Philosopher's Stone (UK version!) on audiobook through our presentation speakers. All in all, a pretty decent Monday.

@Megzb510 B for sure. Assuming that A doesn't include stuff like dealing with clutter and making away places for all the things and is just stuff like cleaning bathrooms. Because I can do that. No problem. Also assuming that I can cut those meals in halves and make leftovers out of them.

Love this idea!!

The best thing that happened today, is that we picked up our puppy from the kennel, it has been a week since we have seen her. There is no better feeling than your dog being so super excited to see you! Also, it is hella sunny out right now, we are breaking records and I love it! One extra day off of work doesn't hurt either.

Edit to add: @Megzb510 I choose B! I don't mind cleaning my house and the live in bartender would be nice, but I am not a fan of someone being there all the time.

I was just coming to the board to bitch about how I had a stupid day and had no time to Bump and then I found this thread instead.

It's not a bad day. But I'm trying to do two full time jobs at once and feeling like I'm not doing either of them the justice they deserve. But nobody seems to have noticed that my usual quality of work isn't up to snuff so maybe I'm being hard on myself. Hooray for flying under the radar!
