  My 2.5 yr old has been sick for almost a week. It could be a virus. It could be strep. It could be EBV or CMV. Its fever and loss of appetite, irrability, trouble sleeping, sore throat, vomiting (the first 2 days), swollen glands, fatigue, you name it. He's been to the doctor twice and we just got a script for a second antibiotic once the z pack is finished tomorrow. The plan is to wait out another another 10 days until the 2nd antibiotic is finished and start bloodwork if he's still not better. I'm remembering the fatigue of waking every 1-2 hours for feeding and pumping and I'm glad if its a major virus he's getting it now so I don't have a 3 yr old who's miserable and needs me on top of tending to a newborn.

  GTKY: Is there a movie/TV Show / mini series / play that you can totally relate to because it's your life, or one of the characters is you, or your husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/etc?
  
  So my husband has been recently obsessed with the TV show "last man standing" which is Tim Allen as a racist, republican, cabelas-type store owner. My husband has DVR'd every episode because we've never heard of it and its up to the 6th season already. He's catching up in chronological ordee and finds it so comical because Tim Allen's character is so similar to my dad (minus the humor).

  What size is baby? Grapefruit 
  
  Rant/Rave/Symptoms: My belly feels like it's growing by the second. I feel huge for 23 weeks. Also I'm having a lot of abdominal pain. Not sure if it's growing pains still, RLP or constipation. But it makes me worry. I am feeling tons of fetal movement though!
  
  Questions: Nope
  
  GTKY: Not currently, but in college my roommates (best friends) and I would watch how I met your mother and swear it was us. DH and I (we were just dating, then engaged at the time) were Marshall and Lily with very similar personalities and our best friend was a mix of Barney and Ted. We had other friends too who matched the others. But we always seemed to get into similar shinanigans.

  Rants/Raves/Symptoms? My upper ribs/under my chest is SO painful it has me practically in tears. I thought it was my bra but after getting one without an underwire I'm realizing it's something inside. It feels like a bad bruise/sunburn. I'm guessing it's just organs getting pushed around but I hope it doesn't hurt like this for the next 16 weeks! Otherwise I'm feeling good!!
  
  Questions? Anyone else having trouble being patient waiting for your shower to prepare for baby?!

  Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I am still exhausted! And my belly is definitely out there. People keep touching me and I really don't like it. I have all these come backs planned but it always seems to happen too fast before I have a chance to get snarky.  
  
  Questions? Nope.
  
  (To answer @court5608, not me, but only because I won't have one before the baby. It might be a regional thing, but a lot of people here don't have showers until after the baby is born; one reason is for people to meet the baby and another is superstition.) 
  
  GTKY: mmmmm not that I can think of right now... We know people who are like the main couple in Happy Endings, and Lilly and Marshall in How I Met Your Mother, but not necessarily us.

  Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I flew last week and had a lot more swelling that usual on the flight. It has gone away though, so I'm thankful my fingers and toes are back to normalish size. 
  
  DH felt a nice little jab from the baby for the "first" time last night! He felt it a couple weeks ago and a few times since then, but I think since it didn't feel like what he expected it to and it was very light, he was in denial. Last night was much stronger and he couldn't deny it was the little one!
