GTKY: Other Board Participation/Lurking

So, I feel like I'm missing out on a lot that the Bump has to offer. I haven't been too adventurous with my lurking - I pretty much just spend time here, lurking TTGP, and Baby Names.

What other boards do you all lurk and/or participate in? Anything particularly entertaining out there?

    I am not a big lurker, but I have gone to the current months BMB and read through the birth announcements. That was awesome.

    I love reading the birth announcements. When I'm having a bad day I pick a month and go read them all. It makes me so much happier when I'm feeling like crap. :)

    Aside from TTGP and Baby Names, I lurk the other BMBs, especially Sept, Oct, and Dec since they're close to us.  I also lurk First Tri and Second Tri

    I randomly clicked through boards yesterday and most are fairly dead. I actively participate in 2 other boards that formerly were here, but have fled in 2 different exoduses to other places.

    I use to love lurking the parenting board before everything changed. Some of the funniest material on TB.

    But everything seems to have quieted down now throughout the boards. What a shame

    @muybueno Story of my life.  I love love love the birth announcements which is good for names too but I always end up all choked up when I should be working.  :)

    I remember when everyone on my old BMB started posting their Birth Announcements...I was May13 and the announcements started coming in around March or so.  Initially all you can think is Thank Goodness the baby/mom are OK and I hope I don't have an announcement soon but then as you get closer to your month you start reading all the "on-time" ones and can't help but dream about yours.  I loved it.  I remember when my water broke I was like Yay...my turn lol.

    I lurk 1st tri but still can't believe how dead it is over there. Sometimes I like checking on Oct '16 to see what'll be going on for us next month; it gets me excited!

    Most of the other boards are pretty quiet. I lurk my old BMB, special needs, and high risk the most. Special needs had a really good community, that's why I even started on TB, but it's pretty dead there now.

    I read birth announcements and the ultrasound threads for the few months before us. It's fun to see the growth progression that we'll get to see for ourselves soon enough!

    I lurk on December and October occasionally. I also look at the April board to see all the baby's!

    I lurk on the toddler boards now and breastfeeding pre exodus. There used to be this amazing breastfeeding guru who hung around here and answered any question you had. It was awesome.

    Like some PPs, I like to lurk the October and December BMBs. Sometimes I visit 1st tri, but I don't find it particularly interesting.

    Yes! I remember her from when I lurked my first BMB. I wonder where she went? Maybe another site or maybe she "retired" ?

    This might be a dumb question, but I wondered about that :-) My technical due date is November 5. So I could theoretically be only a little bit early and still have an October birth. Do I stay in this forum no matter what because it's for people who were 'due in November' and I am?

    Yup! At least that was the case with my birth month boards at the other sites I was on with my other kids. I was due Nov 12 with my daughter but had her in late October and I stayed in my November board.

    DH (29) - MFI low count and morphology

    September 2013 IUI#1 - Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN
    October 2013 IUI#2 - Letrozole + Menopur + Trigger + IUI = BFN

    Nov 2013 IVF/ICSI #1 - Protocol: BCP prep, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (12 days), ganirelex
    Results: 5 retrieved / mature, 4 fertilized, 1 arrested and 3 complex abnormal after day 3 PGS = Cancelled after ER
    Jan/Feb 2014 IVF/ICSI #2 - Protocol: Estrogen priming, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (11 days), microdose lupron
    Results: Cancelled after 11 days of stims due to low response and E2 levels
    Feb 2014 IVF/ICSI #3 - Protocol: No prep, low dose Menopur (6 days), ganirelex, Bravelle booster with trigger
    Results: 1 retrieved / 0 mature = Cancelled after ER

    Officially moving on to embryo adoption! We used and love Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park

    May 2015 FET #4 - BCP/Lupron/Estrace/Prometrium, lost 2 to thaw, transferred 2 of 6 from match #2, BFN
    October 2015 FET #5 - Natural cycle, lost 1 from match #3 and 1 from clinic backup to thaw, transferred 1 backup, BFN
    February 2016 FET #6 - Natural cycle, transferred 1 from match #4, B FREAKING P!
    Beta 1 = 162, Beta 2 = 316, doubling just over 48 hours

    Anyone know how to make a specific group like a favorite or something so you don't have to keep searching for it?

    Example: I like creeping the cloth diaper board because we're entertaining the thoughts of doing it. But I have to click through like 5 pages to get to it.

    Not sure about desktop, but on mobile you can click on the little star next to the board's name on the main 'community' page, and it will save it to your favorites list. :)
