Happiness Thread *Week of 4/17*

A place to post things that make you happy, what you are thankful for, or just to express any form of gratitude! 

I am so thankful for my Dad. He is 79 years old & a widower, stubborn & set in his ways, but one of the sweetest & caring men you will ever meet. He calls everyday to check on me & the baby, wants to make sure I'm getting enough rest, eating good meals, etc. Always asking if there's anything he can do for me. I lost my mom almost 11 years ago & miss her every single day, but I am so grateful to have my Dad in my life. I have been really down the last few weeks and having a bit of a rough time & he brought me this the other day (my birthstone). So, so sweet!

    I was excited this week to score a cute, comfy maternity dress at Target for $10 (40% off on Cartwheel, plus 20% off coupon). 

    Also my LO learned to blow kisses this week and it is the sweetest thing ever!

    @LGW2015 I am right there with you! We have been outside all day today. And yesterday we planted our veggie garden!!!

    @mrscorker My DH went out of town today & I also spent the day shopping all by myself & had a fabulous lunch at a Greek place that I love & he doesn't, so I rarely get to go. I found some clearance shirts at Motherhood, woo-hoo! This might be weird, but can I ask you what type of underwear you got? I looked at several pair & contemplated & then left without buying any because I didn't have a clue!

    It sounds materialistic but, what made me happy today is that DH and I went to explore and update registry stuff at Babies R Us today and he was so enthusiastic about it. Other than dr appts, it was one of the first things we have done together in this pregnancy that made me feel "normal" and happy or excited enough to not think about any of my fears for a little while!

    It was a gorgeous weekend here in RVA! Yesterday we spent the day at a Fine Arts Festival where my daughter performed and today we went outside for the entire day. Had icees, walked along the James River and got our toes in the water. The weather is supposed to be glorious all week so I plan on getting some sun on this pasty white skin!

    I got to meet two out of town friends for lunch today, and it was nice to catch up. And hold a baby! :)

    After a hellish time selling our old house we're finally in our dream home. I just spent the whole evening on the deck with my two boys.

    Also, I just scored a gorgeous deck table and 6 chairs for $25 at a yard sale! I swear I could live out here.

    @ByeBabyBunting that looks like a gorgeous day! Sunburns happen SO easily while pregnant. I have never burned in my life, but got totally scorched during my last pregnancy.

    Oh no! I burn super easily normally, so I'll have to be careful this summer.

    I got the fold over kind. You can fold over the top and wear them as normal bikini underwear or pull them up and they snuggle the blump. Kind of amazing.
