Hi all, this is Beth, new to the town. I am 35 and DH 36. We are married about 1 and half years. I have PCOS and over-weighted, while DH is very normal with very good sperm counts and mobility. In the past half year, we had two injection IUI's, but both failed. So we changed our RE and switched to IVF the end of last month. Baseline test showed everything is good: AMH 5.3, FSH 7.1 and E2 40.
Day 1 to Day 5: Follistim 200IU, and BW at Day 6: E2 157; multiple less than 10 mm follies at left ovary, and one follie was 10 mm above plus multiple less than 10 mm follies at right.
Day 6 to Day 7: Follistim 200 IU, Ganirelix 250 mcg and Low dose hCG 25 IU. BW at Day 8: E2 319; multiple less than 10 mm follies at left ovary, and one follie was 13.25 mm plus multiple less than 10 mm follies at right.
Day 8 to Day 10: Follistim reduced to 75 IU, Ganirelix 250 mcg and Low dose hCG increased to 200 IU. BW at Day 11: E2 828; Left ovary had 17.85 mm and 13.63 mm follies plus multiple less than 10 mm follies; Right ovary had 20.6 mm, 10.7 mm and 10.36 mm follies plus multiple less than 10 mm follies.
Day 11 to Day 12: Follistim 75 IU, Ganirelix 250 mcg and Low dose hCG 200 IU. BW at Day 13: E2 dropped to 615. Follies at both sides didn't grow too much. Left had 18.87 mm, 14.56 mm and 13.85 mm follies and several less than 10 mm follies; Right had 21.36 mm, 12.16 mm and 10.74 mm and multiple less than 10 mm follies.
Day 13, Follistim was increased to 150 IU, Ganirelix still 250 mcg and Low dose hCG still 200 IU. BW at Day 14, E2 continued drop to 478. Follies at left grew a little: 19.08 mm, 16.34 mm and 14.64 mm and several less than 10 mm follies; the biggest follie at right side seemed shrink from 21.36 mm to 19.3 mm, the other two grew a little bit: 19.26 mm and 14.6 mm, plus multiple less than 10 mm follies.
Day 14, our RE decided to cancel our cycle and let us decide if want to switch to IUI, and we triggered that night with 20000 IU hCG.
We are now at our 2 ww waiting and I am on the progesterone supplement. Yesterday back from 7 dpiui P4 test, it's 12.7.
Since our insurance doesn't cover anything and basically only DH has a full time job, we have spent over $10K on the 3 IUI's. We are very nervous now and don't know how likely a converted IVF can lead to a successful IUI.
We are also very upset that we didn't get a lot of follies, since my AMH is really high. Not sure what's wrong that the follies just didn't grow. :-(
