I used the Belly Bandit. I feel like it did help me shrink down faster but once it started to get creases in it, it was too uncomfortable to wear. I liked it for the abdominal and back support but don't think it worked any sort of magic that my body wouldn't have eventually done itself.
I also use the belly bandit and I put it on for one full week post partum and now I am doing it like every other day. I think it works well but yes, it can be uncomfortable, especially if I need to sleep in it. I am tired enough to not care I guess... But there were nights that I decided to just take it off. It's pretty effective I think. I used it for both kids and was able to get back to my old fat jeans by week 2 or so. Like pp said, your body will eventually get you there anyway but it helps me feel more like my old self after a couple of weeks.
I had the same experience as the other posters. Never used it with my first but recovery was very similar. I did not wear it at night but day only for two weeks.
I had a Belly Bandit too. Nice, comfortable, I got mine for $20 at a local shop, but wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for one. I enjoyed the support it gave me but I don't feel like it reduced my waist size down to what it had been. My body would have done it on its own. But again, the support was very nice.
