I'm not sure if this is a UO or a FFFC but I secretly side eye whenever I see someone type a curse word like this: b***h. It reminds me of middle school when everyone was just learning they could cuss but didn't want anyone to hear them. Just type to word out or use a different one completely. Sorry, not sorry.
I don't get the "super fit" pregnant moms. The ones who don't touch anything unhealthy and work out everyday. The ones who meal prep and have a strict schedule.
I would rather nap and eat french fries dipped in ranch. I figure if I take my prenatals, eat somewhat healthy, and have a job that requires me to be on my feet all day, then that's good enough.

@midwestbaby me too! One of my Facebook friends just had her baby last week. She didn't find out she was pregnant until her second trimester but then she spent the whole pregnancy bragging about how easy pregnancy is and how she never gained a single pound (even though it made her baby underweight) because she ate nothing but raw vegetables and fruit. After her water broke she even got her hair done and did her makeup and wore a cute dress to go give birth in.
I'm over here eating ice cream daily and didn't do my makeup for the first four months of pregnancy because I didn't feel well. And I've gained 18 pounds...

I'm guilty of doing that. It's funny, I just don't swear often and for some reason still feel guilty when I do!
I don't have a problem with super fit pregnant ladies, as long as they aren't judgy about it. Each woman experiences pregnancy differently and what is easy for one person might be very difficult for another. I thankfully don't get horrible morning sickness, but during this pregnancy and my first pregnancy, SPD set in around 20 weeks (this is where the front of your pelvis separates). This means that walking, rolling over in bed, and even sitting in certain positions can be incredibly painful for me. I walked about 3 or 4 miles the other day and was in pain for the next two days. In talking to my midwife, she advised me to just rest, listen to my body etc. As much as I'd love to be a fit pregnant lady, it just isn't in the cards for me.
I wouldn't call myself a super fit pregnant lady but I really do try to exercise and eat right. I would love to have more self control when it comes to diet and I am going to be trying even harder from now on because I definitely am gaining much faster this pregnancy, but hey, if you have the self control then thats great. I don't support unhealthy eating habits or over-exercising to attempt not to gain weight out of vanity (or worse, due to disordered eating), but to each their own.
Saturday-Tuesday I felt so bloated and water-logged, so in an attempt to help with that/be a more healthy pregnant lady, I've been on a mission to actually drink the 8 glasses of water a day. And while I feel so much better, I AM SO FREAKING TIRED OF WATER.
My doc today told me that there's a pt. who's 35 wks pregnant and is still doing crossfit despite his warning. I told him he's got nothing to worry about with me. The most I'll lift is my 17 pound Westie for a split second and immediately tell DH to come grab him (DH doesn't get it...I don't either, maybe I like holding him like a baby).
Ok here's my UO: I actually LIKE the drink they gave me to test for diabetes today! Nurse gave me orange flavor and timed me for 5 minutes. I was weary at first because I heard so much stank over this process but after my first sip, I was all, "what IS this shit! It's delicious!!" Had a little #TBT moment as it reminded me of elementary Kool-Aid days! Yum!!

(Me in the exam room today):
I've known multiple women who do CrossFit up until the day they go into labor and it's been perfectly fine. I'm 23 weeks and still doing CrossFit (with modifications). Obviously people can take it to extremes, but as long as you have a complication-free pregnancy and you're comfortable there's no reason to stop doing an exercise you've been doing all along. My OB has no problem with my CrossFit and hasn't put me on any weight lifting restrictions. I've backed off a bit per my coach's recommendations but that's it.
I think it's silly that some people feel like they "have" to buy a house before they have a baby. I had two babies in less than a thousand square feet apartment!
@Lynnlove28 I binge watched all the seasons on Netflix this summer along with The Originals and I've caught up on all the recent episodes this season on Hulu. I didn't expect to like it but it's pretty darn catchy. Doesn't hurt that Stefan and Damon are pretty great eye candy!
@AliKay20 I just was saying to my OB how much I liked the glucose drink at my last appt! I don't drink juice very often so it was like a little treat.
@Samm116 oh god, you would hate to hang out in my house. We refer to the baby by our intended name all the time. I hate just saying "baby" or "he". Along those same lines though, I get annoyed when people have a weird nickname for their unborn baby, like squish, or munchkin. No real reason either, I guess it's just a preference thing!

We're about to have 2 in a camper. It will be a bit tight but at least we won't get a ton of unnecessary crap!

I looooooove the drink! We get the option of fruit punch or orange. The FP totally tastes like Kool-aid! No complaints here (especially because I'm sick of drinking all this boring water). - I feel you @kwilliams3402
I chose the lemon-lime one. It just tasted like flat Sprite. If you drink it super cold, it's not terrible. I just drank it quickly and it was NBD. Not saying I'd want to drink it for fun, but it's like 8 oz or something. Just chug. There are so many worse things you'll go through in the next several months. I don't get why people make such a big deal about it.
@bananers I wanted to try that one actually but they only had orange! Yeah, I really don't get what the fuss is all about. It really isn't as bad as people make it seem! Good news: I passed!
I have such a hard time with my MIL calling my almost 2.5 year old, "the baby". I get that she is the youngest grandchild but she has a name - use it! Every time she says things like, "Oh how's the baby?" I say, "Do you mean Caroline? She is fine." Even Caroline will tell her that she is a big girl now.

I thought the 50g glucose drink for the 1 hour test was fine... but the 100g drink for the 3 hour was so vile. It has so much sugar, it has a syrupy consistency to it. I really thought I might be sick after drinking it.

Last pregnancy I had both. I prefered the 3 hour test one because I got the fruit punch. I despise orange flavored stuff, which is what I got for the 1 hour one. I was really bummed I would have to have more of the orange when I found out I had to retest. Then I was stoked to get the other flavor.
