I hate the term "Bud" as in short for buddy as a pet name. Everyone on SOs side calls DS that and I've started to and I don't know why it annoys me so much
I want to punch the super-mommies that go to all of the baby activities in the face when they look at me like I have three heads when I don't sign baby up for every. single. activity. Our city has great mommy/baby activities but there are literally at least 2 things to do each day! I don't think I am harming my tiny baby by not having him in more than 3 activities/week. Maybe that's why these other babies don't sleep well at night, perhaps they are overstimulated/under-napped from having the social calendar of a 21 year old socialite!
I've wanted to punch hubby all week. It's been a hard week and I'm just not dealing well with stuff. He'll make me feel so mad at him then turn around and be so sweet I feel guilty for wanting to punch him.

My baby's activities include sleeping in his bouncer and playing in his play chair or rolling over on a blanket on the floor.

I met up with DH and DD for lunch and she had fallen asleep so I couldn't feed her. I was sooo tempted to wake her up to spend time with her...and I hate pumping
I hate people who tailgate, especially when you have a bright yellow sign that says "baby on board". It makes me stabby.
My confession is that it makes me really made when people make fun of these signs or gripe about people having them. I understand the family signs, but the baby on board signs are for safety and informs emergency personnel of children in the vehicle in the event of an accident. they probably aren't made anymore, but when I was younger my parents had similar stickers on our windows and outside our bedroom doors. They said "child in room" and had little figures for infants through teen with the age appropriate figure circled, along with bed type (bunk, crib, single). There was additional room to note things such as a disabled child or cystic fibrosis. They were for safety and I'm sure helped cut back search time. People would probably complain about those too.

What makes me stabby is the people speeding and zipping in and out of traffic and they have one of the yellow signs and the baby is indeed in the vehicle.
My new little cousin was born yesterday and I don't want to meet him. I know I'll fall in love with him and my aunt-in-law was cheating on my uncle at the time she got pregnant. I just know that if I get close to him, we're going to find out it's not my uncle's baby. If that happens, she's going to take the baby and leave and I'll be heartbroken because hormones....so yeah, I'm horrible.

Were they married when the baby was born? I think in some states if the a man and woman are married and a baby is born legally the husband is the father. Has anyone else heard this? I could be making it up, but I feel like that was a thing when Kim Kardashian had her first and was almost still married to Kris Humphries. In that case your uncle would get visiting rights even if she left and you could still have a relationship with the baby.

I doubt that. If there is a baby daddy who claims the child, and paternity testing and all that, that guy is the father, no matter who the woman is married to. It doesn't automatically give the husband parental rights if there is a known other father. If so, that's majorly f'd up.

Yes, they were married, but I don't think that's the case in my state. I'm sure she would never take him away as long as no one was aware that he wasn't my uncle's, but the moment my uncle calls her out on it, she'll be gone.
My cat fooled me. She has always peed on things when she is mad ( she is always checked for infections she is 15 and is just a wench sometimes). She hasn't peed on anything in like a year and I haven't been keeping the screen door to the nursery closed because of this. She peed on his play mat today. Lucky for her I noticed it before laying little man down. I love my cats but 15 years of this has made me a dog person.

Not the most credible source, but legal zoom probably isn't totally wrong. This says that both husband and wife would have to sign off paternity to another man only after a DNA test determines he is he father. So it is a two step process. Whoever is on the birth certificate has legal rights as father regardless of paternity.

@LaceyH13 is correct - at least in Massachusetts- I worked for child support enforcement for a bit & if you're married & on the birth certificate it's your baby. You can get a Dna test etc but if it's years later usually the court will argue hubby has been acting "as if" & will be required to pay c/s. As crazy as that sounds!

The sign is just meant to alert other drivers that there is a baby in the car. There was no accident that led to the creation of the sign.
