Spotting between periods?? 3 months post D&C

Hi All,

It has been just shy of 3 months post my D&C, my periods are normalizing but I have random spotting for 10 days after my period. Faint and light, not every day. I'm just frustrated as hell and don't know what to do. Had hcg at doctor, it's zero, she said I don't have pcos, etc. said I can get an ultra sound at my next period which I am. Has anyone experienced this? Does it mean you're infertile currently? So confused.

    I never had any spotting between periods, until after my mc. Now I have a little bit of spotting around ovulation.

    Yes.  Yes. Yes. This is me. I cramp terribly and bleed. I called the ob nurse line who said it was my body "trying to ovulate" but I don't turn an opk dark for 3-4 days after. I don't know if it means I'm infertile. I'm fairly certain I'm ovulating.

    Thank g-d. I'll continue to temp and try the ovulation strips I have from before. I'm hoping it's due to ovulation. Last month I spotted and then had fertile mucus but I wasn't temping to know if I ovulated. Hopefully it's just the new norm and I'll have this during ovulation. I know it happens, but to have complications after a miss is just rubbing salt in the wounds and the last thing I feel like dealing with at this point.

    @KyCade3013 I have no idea if it's normal, I just know that it happens to me. I actually will be calling this month if it happens again. Do you cramp when it happens?

    I have an ultra sound Thursday to check for polyps. They checked for fibroids when I was pregnant prior to miss, so that's out. Then if they find nothing will check my hormone levels/ thyroid etc. I guess I'm just hoping for the best and I don't think it's that uncommon. Not sure when your loss happened, but from what I've read when it's later relatively to the peak - which I think is like 5-8weeks, then it takes longer for your body to kick back to normal.

    My loss was 3 months ago (1-14). Good luck at your appointment. Let me know what they say so that I can save a trip to the doctor haha.

    Well, I had to push my appt to next week. Too busy at work this week. Rescheduling for next week. I charted and did ovulate though, so I guess that's good. I'm going to go anyway tho, I don't think mid-cycle bleeding like I had makes sense.

    Crap! @KyCade3013 ! Now I'll never have an answer haha. 

    I'm hoping I don't spot this month again. It's very disheartening.

    It's super disheartening. I have an appt for Wednesday, already put on work calendar. Wil give an update Thursday! @ThePax89

    Let me know what you find out. I had 2 normal periods post D&C but this month I started spotting 7 DPO and have been spotting for 7 days. I did have a positive OPK this month. I'm hopefully getting my period today or tomorrow. I made an appt for a few weeks for my annual exam and to check what's wrong. I'm worried something is wrong with my cervix from the D&C or my hormones are out of whack bc I'm getting older. I hate the not knowing what's going on. Ugh

    @KyCade3013 have you seen your doctor yet? I've had 3 periods so far after my d&cs and this is my first cycle not spotting prior to ovulation.

    Hey! Update went for an ultra sound to check everything out, ovaries etc. said abosutely nothing is wrong. My doctor said she didn't need to do any further testing/blood etc. she said sometimes it can take longer to get back on track than just 8 weeks which was a relief!!  I just got my fourth period post D&C. Lasted 4 days, no spotting after and so far so good. My last cycle was 30 days and I o'ed on day 20 which is my standard pattern pre-Misscariage (even with the Spotting for days prior to my O, it still ended up being day 20 with a 10 day luteal phase). I think it just takes 3 or so cycles for your body to kick back in gear and there's no set perfect amount of time, everyone is different. hoping for a good cycle this time! .

    @KyCade3013 good to know. Thanks for the update! I noticed that after my third period, the cramping is so much better. Also no spotting this cycle!
