Infertility

Start early?

im sorry I'm listing s ton but I feel like I have so many questions about all this!

I called led the nurse yesterday about our timeline and told her our original plan was to start after I get my period at the end of May. She told me at that point I would be on BC pills for two weeks then I guess start injections after that? So if I map it out right that means this process will take us until the end of June almost.

Well I was wondering if I should call them back and asked to start with my April period instead of May bc there is a very large possibility I will be starting s brand new job and complete career chance at the beginning on June. I wanted to give myself time to eat healthy etc but worried about all the side effect of injections etc right when I'm starting a new job. Any suggestions on what you would do? April or May?

Re: Start early?

  • @LizMB If the doc is ready for you to start and you are feeling confident as well, I would go for it this month. As long as you have completed all the tests and such that you need to, then there's no reason to wait, especially if you have things going on that may take up time and energy in June. Best of luck for you!

  • @dragonfaerie thank you for responding! All this is so stressful I figure it's probably better to do it while I'm at a job that I'm comfortable with vs  the first week I start a new job that is all brand new to me. We'll see what the doctor says I guess. I called his nurse this morning to ask and see if it was possible to start this month
  • I agree with @dragonfaerie.  I know a lot of us experience one delay after another, so the earlier you can get started the better, so long as you are ready.  Good luck!
    ***BFP & Child Warning***

    IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs

  • I agree. Why wait? Just go for it. Plus, well at least for me, there were no side effects from the injections.
  • Thanks everyone! I actually got the call today that we are good to go to start with my April period and we're not using BC pills so I guess injections will start this month :) It's becoming real!
  • I'm naturally impatient so my gut instinct says go for it now! ;) best of luck to you
