NO CLue if this is good or what

I had my U/s on day 5 of follistim today.. I had like 3 on one side and 3 on another.. biggest was 11mm. they said he might start me on the hcg today.. im so confused to this whole process.

    I'm new to fertility treatments and also find the process confusing and overwhelming.  Take care!

    DH: SA = normal
    Apr 2015 - Dec 2015 - Letrozole + Clomid with OBGYN
    Jan 2016 - Referral to RE 
    Mar 19/2016 - IUI #1 Letrozole + Gonal-F + Ovidrel + Progesterone = BFN
    Apr 2016 - Cyst found, on BCP for month
    May 18/2016 - IUI #2 Letrozole + Gonal-F + Ovidrel + Progesterone
    June 2/16 - BFP!!!!

    @runner76 Everyone's protocol is different so not sure what to say in regards to the adding hcg and what that might mean.  However, 6 follicles by day 5 is encouraging and the size sounds about right.  I would highly encourage you to ask more questions of your nurse or RE if you are still confused about anything and where you are up to this point.  That's what they are there for so don't feel like you can't ask questions.  My nurse said there are no stupid questions in this process!

    IVF #2: 07/2016 - 3 eggs retrieved, 2 mature & fertilized, none made it past day 3
    IVF #3: 09/2016 - 5 eggs retrieved, 3 mature & fertilized, 1 day 6 blast frozen, PGS normal
    FET #1: 12/2016 - 1 day 6 blast transferred - BFP!! EDD 9/7/2017

    Definitely a question for your RE. At my clinic they don't request you to trigger the hcg unless follies are mature and they consider at least 18mm otherwise egg won't fertilize. I went in on CD10 and my follices were only 10mm and this was my first time on injectables so i assumed would be more aggressive however by CD11 on Clomid I had follies around 20mm ready to trigger. I would for sure ask your RE why they would ask you to trigger at 11mm? Every clinic is a but different I guess but I understand being confused I still am and this is my 4th IUI.

    HCG helps the follicles mature faster but the ganirelix is supposed to keep you from ovulating.

    ER 10/9 with 6 Eggs Retrieved/3 SNOWFLAKES!!

    10/22/15 ~ AF Showed up, waiting for Fibroid removal.
    10/28/15 ~ Saline Ultrasound - Fibroids were gone. FET scheduled for December 3rd!
    12/08/15 ~ FET of one hatching Embaby
