Lately whenever I move too much I get winded and have braxton hicks contractions. This morning it happened when I had to install carseats in my dad's truck. It sucks. Because then I have to sit or lay down until they stop. Simply ignoring them makes them worse. I've got about 30 minutes where I can sit and then I need to get DD ready for preschool, bring her there, and go grocery shopping. Hopefully I'm feeling better by then. Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? We went to beach in Oregon for a family reunion. My parents both have a lot of family that live in that area. My dad had some stuff for my uncle, large machinery of some sort. So we drove my dad's truck and pulled a flatbed trailer. The drive out there wasn't so bad, because some of my brothers rode with our oldest brother, who was driving on his own. But my parents went to visit family after the reunion and my brother had to get home for work. So on the way back there was 8 people in the pickup. It had a full back seat, but there was still 4 of us sitting back there. Sometimes 5, because my youngest brother had room in front but I guess we looked like we were having a ton of fun because he kept coming into the back with us. It was so miserable. I think it's about an 8 hour drive. We were 1.5 hours from home when the truck broke down. On a mountain pass, in the middle of the night. There was no cell service so my dad took a bike off the trailer (we'd brought them to the reunion) and rode to the nearest town in hopes that something would be open or somebody would be awake. By this time I was really hating everybody else in that truck, so I got my sleeping back and slept in the bed of the truck until help came. Help was a neighbor who came to pick us up in a similar truck. I think he was able to tow the truck and the trailer home. We were even more squished in there and went even slower because of the large load. It took ages to get home.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Petty rant - I often find myself near tears because I'm trying to avoid eating junk but I just want it so bad. Sounds ridiculous but somehow keeps happening!! (See below.)
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? No big symptoms/aversions. Cravings...anything unhealthy. Candy, ice cream, fast food, muffins... I feel like I could eat everything in sight, all the time. So, so different from the extremely healthy and nutritious lifestyle I led when pregnant with DD. (I thought then that I was doing "so good" and that cravings were in people's heads...now I fully understand the hormonal relationship with food and it's no fun!)

On top of that, my Dad was an angry drunk which made me grow up strongly disliking him. When I was 13, my Mom decided she'd had enough and they separated and it was the BEST thing ever. We planned a family trip to a lake (just my Mom, my siblings and I with sporadic visits from other random family members) and I was really looking forward to it. At the last minute, my parents "made up" and my Dad ended up coming. Between my undeniable teen angst and my very justified feelings towards my Dad and my parents' relationship, I made the trip miserable for everyone. Finally, I convinced my Mom to let my Aunt take me home and stay with her until my parents returned. (Side note just for context - After two more separations, my parents finally got divorced five years later. It was the best thing for everybody. And, my Dad has now been sober for over ten years and is a much better, more likable person because of it!!)
i just cleaned my whole downstairs wood floors while the girls were doing some arts and crafts and then my 3yo decided to eat a muffin and let the dogs chase her around the house. Now there are tiny muffin crumbs and dog lick streaks everywhere haha

i am craving everything bad for you. The thought of healthy food actually makes me gag. I have been trying to "detox" myself from the bad food and I'm on day three and it's been miserable. All I want is In and Out and tacos. Oh and I've been heavily craving cherry coke.

When I was 12weeks pregnant with LO, we went to Hawaii for my 30th birthday. I was still having morning sickness and threw up on the plane. Then, while I was there, I got a horrendous sun burn- it was so painful on my pregnant skin. Also, I had taken zofran which made me constipated. One night the toilet was fool of blood, which freaked me out. However, I discovered it was coming from my anus, not my vagina; I had popped something from the constipation. Finally, on the way back, our plane was broken and we needed to wait for another plane to land so we could go on that one. I don't fly well so I was a wreck. I need a Hawaii do over.
On the funny side and an early FFFC: we took a tour where LOST was filmed. While we were walking I had to pee so I popped a squat behind a bush. If you watch LOST and you see where they have the bomb hanging, that's where it was.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Getting really sick of this acid reflux. Even the Zantac 150 can't keep up. Ugh! Pretty much no nausea , but I'm still on Diclegis. Still can't brush my tongue without gagging and then feeling like I'm going to throw up.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Pretty much eating like I did pre-pregnancy, maybe slightly more though because I didn't used to each breakfast. I've gained 4 pounds so far which is on track with what I'm hoping to gain. I don't want to gain more than 20 pounds.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? The congestion I'm having is horrible! I am also having trouble sleeping, partly due to the congestion. I have woken up between 2 and 3 am every morning this week only to toss and turn and struggle to get any real sleep afterwards. So tired!

My worst vacation would be Washington DC with my family when I was in 5th grade. Pretty much the whole trip was going to the museums that my dad wanted to go to. And we would go through them so slowly and it was very boring for me. I think my mom also hated it and took it out on us kids because she would snap at us over every little thing and let her bitchy side really come out. I did go back to DC as an adult with my husband and was able to enjoy it much more.

@LeahKnits Has the BH gotten any better for you today? Sorry to hear you've been getting them so much. I've had them off and on (way more than with DD) and it can be frustrating because then you have to "take it easy" for a while which isn't always easy with life going on around you! Also - both your and your Grandma's worst vacations ever sound awful! Yours was a great story, though!

@Smashbox29 It sucks that you haven't been feeling baby yet. At 19 weeks, it's gotta be coming soon!! I think it's definitely possible that baby could be keeping you up at night...but I think you'd feel something if that were the case. (Though I can't say for sure...if you have an anterior placenta or something it might be possible that baby is making you uncomfortable without you feeling anything.) Hopefully by next week's ticker change post you're raving about the cartwheels baby is doing in there!

@beachmama14- I also am not showing. I just looked like I pudged out a bit. I am only slightly taller than average, but have a lot of length in my torso and a large frame. It will take a while for me to look pregnant.
@JennM205 The BH did get better. I did not go grocery shopping. I dropped DD off at preschool and ran into walmart on my way home. Totally forgot the one thing that I needed there. Moving carseats around is exhausting. I should have known it'd be a little too much. DH said he'd do it, but I'm very particular about how they go and we both get frustrated when I try and correct something he's doing. I was talking to my younger sister about it recently and she didn't recall it being that bad. It was though. I have never been so glad to be home.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I may have felt the baby for the first time last night?! Lol. I dunno, it felt like a tugging session, then a very very light sensation (maybe a flutter?) and then it tickled a little inside. I haven't felt it since and that was right before I went to sleep while lying in bed.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I was doing well eating healthy for about a week and a half or 2 but now I want junk again. Like @JLmama118, I am also a lot more tired than I thought I would be at this point in the 2nd trimester. Waking up in the morning is the worst and then I do ok while at work, but then I am exhausted again in the evening.
GTKY: I am not sure if it is my WORST vacation but it is definitely the most unpleasant that I have had recently. A couple of years ago I took my first (and only) cruise and ended up getting sea sick the 2nd day on the ship. I took meds and wore seabands but I never really felt well the rest of the cruise (so 4 out of the 5 days). I was tired, nauseous and cranky.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave- So we've finally moved into our 3BR house and I'm loving all the space... We've unpacked most things and I can't wait to get started on decorating each room especially the nursery! Its been a long and tiring month... Also did I mention I get to see my baby again today!!! Rant- So because it's been a long and tiring month with the move, the adrenaline I had has slowed down and caused me to have a cold/slight flu. Ive been so stuffy and runny and even ended up having a nose bleed the night before. My DH is also not well but this causes him to snore which has kept me up most nights. Last night was the only night I've been able to sleep through in about a week or so and that was probably because DH decided to sleep in the spare room so not to disturb me.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've had my first nose bleed (I never get nosebleeds) Still craving fruit, yogurt craving at times. No aversion to eating other people's chicken (meat except mince) but STILL can't stand the smell of it prepping.

Like a PP mentioned this was probably because of late teen angst and wasn't really the worst holiday but we had a family holiday on a boat around Norfolk Broads. I had to share a room with my sister and her daughter after being used to having my own space being at uni. I felt so trapped not being able to talk to my then boyfriend and was generally miserable with my family most times that seemed to annoy me easily. I couldn't wait to get back home that I detoured my enroute journey back home instead of going all the way back with them. Looking back apart from the lack of living space it was actually a nice holiday...

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant- We are supposed to get a huge snow storm this weekend and I was hoping to have my parents come up to help us tile our kitchen. They live in the mtns and are expected to get 2-4 ft of snow and our area is to get about 10in. UGH! I know Colorado can expect snow even into May, but come on! Rave- Ultrasound was on Monday and we are having a GIRL! Everything looked good on the ultrasound too, despite her being stubborn for the tech to get all the images and measurements.

@JennM205 Thank you for your well wishes. Scan went perfectly thank you. Baby was sat in the exact position from my last scan at 12 weeks. It's amazing to see the size difference! And baby co-operated wonderfully so we now know the sex (will post on the sex reveal page) And I'm feeling much better now after 3 days rest and an especially good nights sleep last night and the night before. All the best for your scan if you haven't had it already?

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I was doing well eating healthy for about a week and a half or 2 but now I want junk again. Like @JLmama118, I am also a lot more tired than I thought I would be at this point in the 2nd trimester. Waking up in the morning is the worst and then I do ok while at work, but then I am exhausted again in the evening.
GTKY: I am not sure if it is my WORST vacation but it is definitely the most unpleasant that I have had recently. A couple of years ago I took my first (and only) cruise and ended up getting sea sick the 2nd day on the ship. I took meds and wore seabands but I never really felt well the rest of the cruise (so 4 out of the 5 days). I was tired, nauseous and cranky.

How many weeks? 20 weeks, yeah for halfway point!!!
What size is baby? Banana (my fruit craving)
Upcoming appointments? TODAY! Hopefully we find out baby boy or girl
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave- So we've finally moved into our 3BR house and I'm loving all the space... We've unpacked most things and I can't wait to get started on decorating each room especially the nursery! Its been a long and tiring month...
Also did I mention I get to see my baby again today!!!
Rant- So because it's been a long and tiring month with the move, the adrenaline I had has slowed down and caused me to have a cold/slight flu.
Ive been so stuffy and runny and even ended up having a nose bleed the night before. My DH is also not well but this causes him to snore which has kept me up most nights.
Last night was the only night I've been able to sleep through in about a week or so and that was probably because DH decided to sleep in the spare room so not to disturb me.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've had my first nose bleed (I never get nosebleeds)
Still craving fruit, yogurt craving at times. No aversion to eating other people's chicken (meat except mince) but STILL can't stand the smell of it prepping.
GTKY: Courtesy of @marajay6 - What is the worst vacation you've ever been on? Like a PP mentioned this was probably because of late teen angst and wasn't really the worst holiday but we had a family holiday on a boat around Norfolk Broads. I had to share a room with my sister and her daughter after being used to having my own space being at uni.
I felt so trapped not being able to talk to my then boyfriend and was generally miserable with my family most times that seemed to annoy me easily.
I couldn't wait to get back home that I detoured my enroute journey back home instead of going all the way back with them.
Looking back apart from the lack of living space it was actually a nice holiday...

Upcoming appointments? Had my 20wk checkup yesterday and a/s was on Monday. Nothing now til mid May
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant- We are supposed to get a huge snow storm this weekend and I was hoping to have my parents come up to help us tile our kitchen. They live in the mtns and are expected to get 2-4 ft of snow and our area is to get about 10in. UGH! I know Colorado can expect snow even into May, but come on! Rave- Ultrasound was on Monday and we are having a GIRL!

And I'm feeling much better now after 3 days rest and an especially good nights sleep last night and the night before.
