Oh man, I am going to have to stay away from this thread! I've only known I'm pregnant for a week and I'm already taking too many liberties with my normally quite healthy nutrition... Well except for my never ending sweet tooth. Sparkling lemonade sounds delicious @Sporty1216. I bought some of the Target brand of sparkling juice and water today- a generic Izze- mango peach yum!
Oh and over the weekend I discovered Edible Arrangements has smoothies! I got strawberry pineapple kale- it was so good I went back the next day to get another. And come on, anything with kale in it can't be too unhealthy, right?!
I make a couple of Challah for every family function. These are stuffed with apples and cinnamon... and I already started on one loaf so it looks like only one will make it to my parents' for Easter tomorrow! There is a little mastiff snout in the pic too... Rufus needed to investigate the fresh bread!
@Sporty1216 read my mind. When I saw that picture, I thought "omg, those look amazing." I love challah, but I've never had it fresh from the oven. I want it!!!

Man, I just scrolled up and looked at your challah bread again, @lillebowski23. They sell it at my grocery store, but it doesn't look as good as yours. I need to find a bakery that sells it.

12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
I try to avoid this thread! Swedish fish and ALL things gummy are my crack! In college we lived near wegmans (which they've since expanded in the northeast), the store is open 24/7 and has a bulk candy section, lethal. Swedish fish by the pounds! And I so innocently thought at my young age that because there was no fat, I could eat them by the lb!
My gummy fruity "candy" these days are gummy prenatal vitamins. I think if I didn't have such delicious vitamins I'd forget to take them. Speaking of... I forgot them this morning. Something to look forward to when I get home

I take fiber gummies that taste amazing. My husband is a gummy fanatic. If he knew how good they were, he'd eat the whole bottle. I shudder to think what that would do to a person!

My LO pulled a packet of those out of the pantry today (they've been in there since DH and I got married over 3 years ago, but are probably just a "fresh" as they were on the day they were purchased). I told him he'd learn all about those soon enough. They are so yummy in such a terrible way. Hope you enjoyed!

So speaking of gummies, a FB friend posted a recipe for gummy strawberry slices which I am trying out today on a SURPRISE DAY OFF (my only 2 Thursday clients cancelled)! The recipe says to bake the strawberries sliced in 1/3s or 1/4s at 210 degrees for 3 hours. So far I have 1.75 hours left and I will let you all know how they turn out.
Ooh. Your timer must be about to go off soon! Can't wait to hear the report! I've been eating my kid's fruit snacks. Better than more bags of gummy bears, but not as good as if I was eating straight up strawberries....
Hmmm... so they were alright. Most of them were soft, but not chewy. The others were a little chewy but more crunchy. I am not sure if this is due to the pieces being different sizes or the fact that I used parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Or maybe it was the time and temperature. At any rate, I will try the other recipe soon and see what happens. Oh yeah, and they tasted really good, I just wished the texture was better.
I kind of want to wander through the grocery store tasting things right now...
