How to attach Snuza w/o waking up baby?

For those of you who have used a Snuza monitor, how do you get it clipped to baby's diaper without waking her up?  Do you leave it clipped there all the time, and then just turn it on when she falls asleep?  My little gal is sleeping pretty light lately, and once we've finally gotten her to sleep it seems like the maneuvering that would be required to partially undress her from her onesie, clip the monitor to her diaper, turn it on, and re-dress her would definitely wake her up.  Am I missing something?  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

  • We use ours for bedtime or planned naps. We place the Snuza at diaper change, turn it in, and leave it on. Batteries are odd shaped and hard to get out. My dad used a piece of scotch tape wrapped around it and created a small tab.

  • We only do it at night. So after Odie's bath, he gets a disposable (we cloth diaper during the day) and I clip it on before sliding him into his jammies. From there it's only about thirty mins before he is asleep so it works. it has been a little over three months and I haven't had to replace the batteries. That is 12 hours every night for three months with no replacement needed.
