We just found out we're expecting a girl and are totally lost on girl names. We currently have a Wesley Eli and Owen Reid.

Julia immediately came to mind! It pairs well, while not sounding too much like either of the other two.

We haven't been brainstorming long, but I love Ella. DH isn't sold b/c we have shied away from top 50 in the past. Other top names on my list are Fiona, Elena, Vivian, Eliza, Evelyn, but DH says they're all "old lady" names.

I love Eliza, Vivian, and Fiona. None of the names you listed sound like old lady names to me. Suggest:
Ruby
Juliet
Noelle
Alice
Sabrina
Tessa
Phoebe
Bridget
