How many weeks
and how big is baby? 15w:Avocado-ish
Current symptoms? Moodiness, headaches, RLP
Rants/Raves/Questions? I keep complaining to DH
that certain outfits/shirts make me look pregnant. His response, “honey, you
are pregnant.” But I don’t feel pregnant, just fluffy! Doctor appointment
today, no ultrasound but hopefully I get to hear the heartbeat! I always get
nervous before doctor appointments.
GTKY: In the name of the 13th,
do you (or your family/culture) have any superstitions? I can’t think of any!
Although, in Jewish culture you are not supposed to name a baby after a living
relative and I am named after my mom who is very much alive so maybe I am a bad
apple?
@smmatt08 yay! Let us know how it goes! I totally know what you mean about the anxiety.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 15! yellow canary, avocado, navel orange
Current symptoms? Braxton-Hicks contractions! At least a few times a week. What I only assume is RLP. Lots of cramps, twinges and pains in my both my back and lower abdomen. Sciatica is also acting up although i think the prenatal yoga is helping. And still lots of fatigue. Past few days I've had some waves of queasiness again after I eat.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I always get anxious for my next dr. appt. which isn't for another week (next friday). Then I'll get to set up my 19 week anatomy scan! SO EXCITED!
GTKY: In the name of the 13th, do you (or your family/culture) have any superstitions? In Italian culture, we have malocchio which is the "evil eye." Basically, if someone looks at you with envy/jealousy they can curse you, causing bad luck, headaches, etc. An italian horn is given to a baby at birth, the theory being that when visitors come to see the baby, they will divert some of their attention to the horn, thus sparing the baby of envious glare. If you get cursed, someone has to perform a ritual for you in order to get rid of it . The ritual (which my great grandmother did for many of my relatives) involves placing water in a bowl, saying prayers, and dripping olive oil into the bowl of water. If the oil mixes with the water and disperses in the bowl (which water and oil should never do based on their properties), then that person does have malocchio. In that case, they must dump the bowl and start again. You keep doing this over and over again until the oil and water act like they're supposed to, staying separate. Then the malocchio is cured.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 15 weeks...the size of a multi tool. My Army husband uses that damn tool for everything, and he was pretty pumped about that particular size comparison.
Current symptoms? Headaches and dry, itchy skin! My eating and fatigue is mostly back to normal levels (assuming I didn't just jinx myself!)
Rants/Raves/Questions? I would like to look pregnant...instead of looking like I just really like ice cream.
GTKY: In the name of the 13th, do you (or your family/culture) have any superstitions? Hmm, can't think of any superstitions, but I was born on Friday the 13th!
How many weeks and how big is baby? 15 weeks and the size of an apple
Current symptoms? still very tired, and food aversions. I'm hungry, but never know what I want. I do still have a fairly sensitive gag reflex, but am not throwing up.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Appointment this Friday ---excited and nervous to see baby girl again!

@LGW2015 my appointment went well. Super uneventful. Weight check, blood pressure check, peed in a cup, listened to the heartbeat. The doctor did make a comment about how active my child was after all the movement she could hear on the doppler, lol!
