What's your peanut up to?!?

what has your peanut been doing?? Any teeth?? Sitting up?? Sleeping through the night?? Trying baby food yet?? Any updates?!?

Phillip learned to roll over from front to back and back to front. His bottom teeth are coming in, you can see them so any day now! Loves to sit in his exersaucer. Loves laying in brothers bed while brother blow bubbles on his tummy. Hearing those two laugh together melts my heart!! He has tried all the step 1 baby foods and loves it all ( chubbers ) :-)

Re: What's your peanut up to?!?

  • Cooper is currently working on rolling and sitting up! He can roll both ways now (although back to front is much harder for him) He's starting to sit unassisted for longer periods of time...he only showed interest in sitting this week so great progress! He just recently found his laugh. Which concerned me for a bit that it took so long. We don't get a full on laugh often but when it happens it is magical! As far as food goes he is getting table food here and there. We're going to really jump into it when he is sitting better.

Elliot is 19 weeks and drools EVERYWHERE. I haven't felt teeth yet, but they're coming. No cereal or baby food per the pedi until 6 months due to digestive issues. She has pretty much slept through the night since 2 months old, with the occasional wake up (we got lucky).  She still does not love to roll. If we put her on her belly she will roll once to her back then get a huge smile on her face and kick. Then she's content on her back and tries no more. However, she does sit for short spouts and loves to stand. Don't worry, daddy was VERY closely supervising!
  • Bridget is rolling both ways and rolling/wiggling all over the place.  She has recently started getting her knees up under her and starting to rock on her hands and knees.  This usually ends up with her arms giving out and her face first on the floor, although last night I thought she'd end up in a summersault she pushed off so hard with her legs and tucked her little chin.  lol.  She is sitting up for short periods of time on her own.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • Jason is rolling all over the place so we've started transitioning him to his crib. I think I'm having a harder time with it than him. He's reaching out with both hands when he wants to be picked up and has discovered the joy of dropping everything and anything I give him on the floor. He sits for a while if I prop him up first, but not quite there yet. I gave him some mushed banana the other day and he spit it in my face. fun times. No signs of teeth yet, just buckets of drool.

This weekend he managed to hurt himself twice, once by scratching his own ear hard enough to draw blood. I almost lost my shit because it looked like it was coming from INSIDE his ear. He also got his leg stuck between the rails of his crib, apparently the folds on his thigh are easy to shove out but not back into the crib.

He also keeps trying to eat his pacifier. *see pic
  • Zeke is 20 weeks. He's slept through the night once (most nights he wakes up twice. Last night I lost count of wake ups after 6 - he hasn't slept that poorly in who knows how long!). He only rolls in his crib (when he doesn't want to sleep) - it seems that's the only time he has the motivation to roll. He's desperate to be mobile though - I'm fairly certain that he'll be crawling around 6 months.

He hates laying down - he wants to sit (with the boppy around him he can sit for upwards of half an hour). He loves standing and he tries walking when he's in his jumper or exersaucer. When I put him on his belly he either does planks or pulls his knees under him.

He reaches for everything. He knows what food is and thinks he should be able to eat anything mom is eating. The day of his 4 month dr appt we were told we can start him on solids. That night he took an orange slice out of my hand and promptly stuck it in his mouth. He's tried banana, avocado, sweet potato, carrots, and apples. He loves them all. I can't wait till his teeth finally pop!

He despises the car. Screams the whole time we're in it. Which is a problem when the grocery store is 30 minutes away. Hopefully he'll grow out of that soon.

Waylon is 5 months old and is now sitting up on his own pretty well. He started sitting for a few seconds at a time right when he hit 3 months, so he's had a lot of practice. Any time I prop him up on the corner of our sectional sofa he will sit forward because he would rather sit on his own.

He's able to roll both ways, but rarely does it. Especially back to belly he has no interest in. However, if he is sitting up he will bring himself forward to get onto his belly. Which now leads to him doing this goofy wiggling thing where he lays his head down and uses his feet to push off to wiggle himself forward. He rarely gets further than like a foot or two, but I'm so not ready for my little bear to mobile!

He is super social and loves getting strangers attention in public. He's so in love with his daddy and gets so excited whenever he gets to see him (which tends to be for like 10-15 minutes a day right now between my husbands work schedule and baby's sleep schedule).

He is getting so good at using his hands. He can manipulate his toys really well and is now able to get his pacifier into his mouth on his own with very little trouble. He can also hold his own bottle when he is in the mood.

He's getting some solids usually once a day and doing really well with it. His absolute favorite is carrots, which was his first food, and the only food he has tried so far and hated was peas. We got one of those baby food feeders that look kinda like the mesh feeders but for purees and he loves to use it to feed himself. We still use spoons sometimes because he's going to have to use them eventually, but more often than not we go with the feeder because he loves it so much.
  • Wow... I feel like my little is so behind. She's 5 months old and has been rolling from belly to back on occasion for quite awhile, but not back to belly. She has been able to stand with assistance for months. But that's about it... Not close to crawling, she tries to sit up on her own but she can't, we've tried cereal and puréed banana and she just couldn't be less into it.

My LO is one of the youngest (born 11/28). She's 18 weeks and is awesome at rolling back to belly but gets PISSED after about 10 minutes because she cannot figure out how to roll belly to back. She hasn't had any solids or formula yet. She is teething hardcore and smiles a bunch! She's also really interested in toys and grabbing at things (toys, glasses, hair, etc.)
  • LO is 4 months (19 weeks) and has been standing for a while now. Still no rolling over and we haven't tried any foods yet but she's been preparing with her crunches and sit-ups. She's going to have a six pack before her mama does. She's been giggling and talking away. We've got lots of drool and hand chewing but no teeth yet. This week she really started to grab at her toys and is getting better at putting the sippy cup to her mouth.
  • LO is a few days shy of 5 months. He can roll from back to belly but not belly to back yet. He can sit up for a few seconds unassisted. LO can grab and hold onto toys, etc. he loves to stand in our laps (with me holding onto his arms). He has tried rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, avocado and bananas. The only thing he has liked so far is banana. Today we are trying sweet potato :) LO is talking none stop this days and laughing. He loves his jumperoo so much that sometimes DH is afraid he is going to get shaken baby syndrome lol.
  • 20 weeks, LO found her feet last week (v. exciting!), can roll belly to back, and is figuring out her voice (mostly in the form of shrieking/screaming).  Still working on back to belly, can get as far as her side but can't figure out the butt-push-off to get the rest of the way.  Teething off and on but no teeth yet.  No solids yet, but can sit with assistance so we're close to starting.

LO is 5.5 months. He's 19 lbs and wearing 9 month stuff comfortably. We have 2 teeth, that showed up around 4 months. A 3rd one is trying to pop through now. He still refuses to roll belly to back, but just mastered rolling back to belly last week. He been sitting unassisted for periods of time for awhile now. He did that before rolling! No crawling but he can wiggle himself off his playmat with ease. We just started trying solids this week. So far only rice cereal and avocado. He loves both, but the cereal is his favorite. Still not sleeping through the night. He wakes 2-4 times a night to nurse still. He's also still cosleeping with me. I've tried many times to transition him to the crib and he won't have it. I get exhausted and give up and keep him in bed with us. I don't have the heart to do CIO yet, so we'll just keep on keeping on I guess.

DD is 21 weeks. She's got a full on belly laugh now, which is amazing to hear. She's been grabbing well for a while now and is even good at passing a toy back and forth between hands. She sits unassisted for minutes on end when she's focused on something (ex daddy sitting in front of her singing), otherwise she's constantly trying to go somewhere or grab something so ends up toppling herself over. She has rolled belly to back since super bowl Sunday, but no back to belly yet, although she gets about 3/4 of thre way there!  Still dislikes tummy time but she's really able to push herself up now and even "inch worms" by getting her butt way up in the air. We are practicing standing by allowing her to hold onto the coffee table (her height) and she loves it!  No solids yet as we are waiting for the green light at her 6mo appointment.

Edit: DD started rolling back to belly this weekend and won't stop! She loves her new ability :)
  • This was taken a month ago
  • Genny is rolling back to belly on a consistent basis and rolls onto her belly when she tired and sleeps thru the night on her belly. Belly to back just happened this week. I also got her laughing for the first time a few days ago. I gave her some of my applesauce but we are starting food until 6 months and she spit the applesauce back out. We had our first ear infection and bronchitis but she's feeling much better. As for the Stander's holy cow I can not believe how strong your babies are
  • Dominic is almost 20 weeks and rolls belly to back. He's happiest in his jumperoo or standing and has the thunder thighs to show for it. He has loved tummy time so much his head control has been awesome since 2 months(despite a massive head -80th percentile!)
He's a light sleeper and a night owl. He adores our 2 dogs almost as much as they love him and daddy is his favorite person, but only will laugh for me. We haven't started foods yet but we're just waiting for the high chair to be delivered. Teeth are on their way(see excessive drool)

Sounds almost exactly like my LO, who is also 5 months old. He can roll, but rarely does. He hates tummy time, so I have to wonder if he will ever crawl. He can stand with assistance also. He loves sitting but can't do it on his own. He has zero interest in solids. We've tried oatmeal, banana, and apple. He will take a couple of spoonfuls and then refuse to open his mouth. Also, he has never slept through the night,  still naps on me during the day, and hates his crib because there is too much open space.

That being said, he is a super happy baby and constantly laughing and chatting to himself lol. :)

ETA: Oh and he has his two bottom teeth poking through,  but not fully out. :D

So glad I'm not alone! I know all babies develop at their own pace, but seeing all of the babies here sitting up unassisted and loving solids freaked me out for a second.
  • Ryan was born 11/30. He's not rolling yet at all. He wants to and gets stuck on his side a lot but hasn't quite made it over yet. He doesn't have teeth either. He can sit decently for a few seconds but isn't great at it. He was also born at 36 weeks and had a week stint with RSV in the hospital at 15 weeks old so I'm hoping that he catches up soon. He currently is only 10lbs 6oz at 18 weeks because he lost 1 lb in the hospital . But the Pedi is happy with how he is gaining now and he's eating a lot better and such. So it breaks my heart to see all these other little guys progressing so much faster but I'm hopeful that he is on the uphill now and will only continue to get better.
  • 5 months tomorrow, and my is she ever growing!  Two bottom teeth came a couple weeks ago, they are about 3 mm out of her gums now.  She can successfully pull/scootch herself small distance accross the floor.  Sitting independently for short periods of time, and she stands at an activity table if we place her there, pressing buttons and manipulating the toys.

She loved tummy time, but since discovering sitting and standing she prefers to be upright all day.  She can roll but chooses not to, she would rather use her arms to pull herself.

Absolutely no hair, aside from a few whisps.  18lbs and 26" tall (7 bs 7 oz and 19 " at birth).

Lots of babbling, "ba" is her favourite.  Loving playgroups and other babies, and "swimming" in the bath tub.  Registered for mom and me swimming lessons starting next week.

  • Anna is 4.5 months.

She has rolled from tummy to back and once back to tummy but she mostly just goes to sleep if put on her tummy.

She doesn't have teeth but has been drooling for Weeks. No food till 6 months but she's been eyeing our food.

She sits in my lap but not on her own.loves her jumper

She doesn't really use her hands yet aside to eat them and rub her head to fall asleep.

She only giggles for her brother or me .

  • 5 months here, loves "talking," she babbles to herself and anyone who will listen constantly, still waking up at least once at night. Rolling front to back, not quite the other way, sitting independently only for a few seconds at a time, prefers standing tho, with support obviously. Loves music and dancing, and is such a daddy's girl!!

4months and 2 weeks. (11/28) she was 17.5lbs and 26.5 in at her 4 months check up.
she rolls from back to tummy since this week, she did it a couple of times but did not do it today. She had rolled tummy to back two weeks ago multiple times and then stopped completely. We have started on solids slowly with the ok of the pediatrician, but not daily yet. She loves pears and banana, notmuch apple and carrot.
These days she drools like never before, chews on our knuckles and Sophie, and is into books, she loves turning pages and touching the images while I read. She sits great with assistance, not without. She stands great with assistance. Still loves the bouncer, and her little piano (leapfrog). Loves music and watching mommy dance.
She made her own nap schedule, 2 x 1.5hr nap (one in the morning one in the afternoon) and a 1h nap before bath and evening play (my cue to cook!)
Smiles, babbles and squeals a lot but it seems like she has forever :) no belly laugh yet.

edited to add a photo (looks like a selfie makes me crack up)

  • Omg! It's been a while since I've been looking at posts on here, but I love getting to see the baby pics! So many cutie pies! Samuel has been eating solids 1-2xs a day now. All single ingredient foods like apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, pear etc. So far he seems to like everything except for peas.

He is not a fan of being on his belly, but he's much better than before, so we've been a little slow at the rolling process but he sure knows how to scoot his body around. He's always been very strong on his legs, so he can stand very well and can almost sit without support.

Hes had some trouble with sleeping through the night, but we are at a consistent 4 hour intervals now. Can't believe our babies are already 5 months old! Time is flying!
