This is a weekly check-in for those in their 1st trimester: weeks 1 through the end of week 13. I know we've all gone through a lot to get to this point so congratulations and best of luck to all of you over the next several months!

Please post a little about yourself, your EDD (if it’s not listed below), any upcoming appointments, symptoms, etc. Feel free to also share your IF journey, I know many of us can relate.

QOTW: The best thing that happened to you this week/past week

  • 6 weeks today! And I must say, I had my first sluggish morning today. Luckily it passed pretty quickly. Can't wait to see my LO(s) for the first time this Wednesday

    natural pregnancy: 2008
    Me: 28 (Hypothyroid), DH: 35
    Together since: 2010
    Married: 2013
    TTC: 2013
Infertility: severe MFI, low AMH (0.5)
    Met RE: January 2016
    ER: 3/14 (4 follies, 6 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilized)
    fresh 3dt of 2 embryos= BFP (1 implanted)
    EDD w/ baby boy= 12/6/16
  • I will have my first OB appointment on Wed, graduated from RE last week but they did not do an us. We haven't seen our LO since March 25th(6w5d) so i am very excited but anxious at the same time. I started to have some nausea last week, but it is towards evening and it is usually okay after i eat sonething though i couldnt have anything except soup for few nights. But i am doing pretty well overall, cannot complain.
@tvh1982 how are you doing? Can you eat properly after hospital? I hope you are doing better.
Qoftw: my two close girlfriends visited us in NY over the weekend and we are all pregnant. 3 pregnant ladies in one apartment:) I made them a surprise with my pregnancy. It was a really fun weekend.
  • Im much better, thank for asking @zoefer. Still not world record holder in eating food, but getting there.
Medication does help me, so I keep most of my food/drinks down.

How fun with a girls weekend @zoefer, and so fun you could surprise your girls!

Yay for a boy @morningstar80...and wow, almost a first milestone done. 2nd trimester rocks!

QOTW: best thing for me was the care I received. I sometimes forget how privileged I am in a country as well evolved as Norway. That within minutes they have you back on track and your health is where it should be. To think it could have ended bad for both me and my snowflake if I wouldn't have this health care.

Am doing much much better, and my snowflake hasn't had a clue!

@tvh1982So happy to hear that you are doing well !!!
  • The best thing of this past week was definitely my NT scan looking good and getting to see my LO again! It was also the first appointment my husband was able to come to, so it was super exciting for him to see for the first time! Still waiting for the results of our NIPT test....should come back sometime this week, then we will know if it's a boy or girl!! Congrats @Morningstar80.....so happy you got a little guy!!! I second the fact that weeks crawl by and fly at the same time!! So strange!
  • Hi all! 9w4d today. Still feeling well, just tired and better when I'm eating.

Best thing was an extra ultrasound last week after a tiny bleeding scare. Baby looked good, right on track and strong heartbeat!

  • Good morning all! I'm 13 weeks today, only one more week of the first trimester. I'm very excited to enter the second trimester and hope all the things people promise (lack of morning sickness, having energy, a sex drive) are true. I've been feeling better,  but definitely still have periods of nausea/vomiting. Instead of sleeping all the time I've moved to not being able to sleep at night. Yay.

My favorite thing that happened last week was my NT scan. It was so cool to watch the baby moving around, waving the little arms and feet. I can't wait to feel him/her start to move.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!
  • So great to hear everyone's great progressions this week! I go in tomorrow for my first ultrasound and more bloodwork at 5+4. I am counting down the hours since I haven't had any appointments in a week and I am dying to see the little "dot" on the ultrasound haha.

QOTW: This one for me is easy; finding out I was pregnant!!!

  • Hello! This is the beginning of my 6th week. I'm not totally clear on the different calculations, seems like fertility clinic uses "gestational" weeks instead of the normal LMP weeks? I'll get more clarification but for the record we are 3 weeks past transfer and 1 week past beta test. @tvh1982 i think my due date is 10 Dec.

Yesterday was a bit rough becuase I had some mild cramps and light bleeding. I was really freaked out but fertility clinic and general practitioner both said that was normal. So I am hanging in there and praying this little guy/girl does too.

Best thing last week was celebrating our 2nd anniversary with a BFP!
    me: 39  DH: 42
    TTC: since April 2014
    IUI #1-3 Jan-April 2015 (all BFNs)
IVF #1 May/June 2015 - cancelled due to poor response
    IVF #2 July/Aug 2015 - BFN
    DE IVF #1 March 2016 - BFP
  • I wrote you with EDD 12/10/16 @kuposa17. We can change it when you are more certain
I've had some bleeding to end of my 5th week. Freaked me out, but all was well.

  • Congrats @erica0901 ! We also had our first u/s with OB today. I was so anxious and almost ready to hear bad news, I always think and then believe the worst possibility. But everything was great, our LO was measured as 9w2d which is 2 days ahead of my calculations and looks like a real baby now. We could not believe to see the head, little legs and arms. I am so relieved and looking forward to finish the first trimester in few weeks.
  • US update: 1 embryo & heartbeat detected. Measuring right on target at 6 wks + 3 days. RE did see a 2nd sac, but it was empty. Which means they probably both implanted but 1 stopped growing.

  • Hi everyone. I graduated from RE on Monday. We had an ultrasound and saw heartbeat at 176 beats per minute. I'm currently 8 weeks 4 days.

The best thing that happened to me this week was definitely seeing my little bean and finding out that the hematoma is healing. It's now barely 1 cm!

@tvh1982 my EDD states the baby is coming in 2017. I really hope I'm not carrying this baby for a year and a half.
  • Oops @rachd110... I don't wish that on anybody! It's changed to 2016

  • Hi everyone! I've been posting on the Jan/Feb IVF success board but was waiting for the genetic testing results before joining here. I'm 13weeks today and my EDD is 10/20/16! After TTC for years with DH, we were blessed with this LO after our first cycle of IVF. Last week was my NT scan and it was so amazing to see this baby moving and waving and just not staying still. Looking forward to the day I can feel those movements and hear the heartbeat. I've seen it on screen but have yet to hear it.
The best thing that happened to me this week is learning that my genetic test results were negative and the sex of our baby. I'm working on how to reveal the news to DH
  • Hi @jerseygirl856, such a lovely surprise your DH will get!

  • There are so many mommies to be in this thread now, I can't keep up and that's a wonderful thing! Like several others, this is my last week on this thread, so wanted to say thanks for the support and will see you all again on the tri 2 board!

QOTW: the best thing happening to me this week is definitely finishing up tri 1.  There are promises of no more MS in tri 2 and they better be true! :)
  • Yayyyyy @jerseygirl856!!!! We got our results this week too!! Everything great genetically! My husband surprised me Wednesday with the sex (I had him get the call) and we are telling our families  and a few close friends Sunday!
@ecb3588 I can't believe I'll be in the second trimester next Wednesday either. Crazy how quick it went!! And I'm still wearing my regular jeans! Lol probably not for much longer!!!
  • @laur2444 so happy your received good news from your results as well! Amazing how this is the last week of first tri for us both!
I can wear my regular jeans but I can't comfortably button them so I'm now looking into belly band or maternity jeans.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!
  • @laur2444 Adorable! Congratulations!!

  • @laur2444 too cute, congrats!!

We announced to my immediate family at our New Years dinner yesterday and everyone was in tears! Got a few videos since DH and I had to do the annoucement at different times with the late arrivals. It was definitely a memorable evening for all of us!

QOTW: The best thing to happen in the last week was...
    1. Our first u/s and being able to see the sac and yolk with a flicker of a HB!
    2. Announcing via FaceTime with my in-laws
    3. Announcing to my 30+ immediate family members
