Re: ~~Tuesday Ticker Change~~
26 weeks! Bowling Pin/Butternut Squash.
My symptoms have done a 180. I went from just about nothing, to what feels like everything. Back, hip, tailbone, and pubic bone pain. My sciatic nerve is trying to kill me, and I forget what sleeping through the night feels like.
Anything baby-related this week?
That it would slow down a little. It's going by way too fast.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is:
Will Smith. I think he's adorable and hysterical. I imagine he'd just be cracking me up the whole time.
27, rutabaga
Talked about these both in the symptoms thread but: Pain down the front of my right leg/thigh when I stand up is loads of fun. And my nipples have turned brown.
Anything baby-related this week?
Nope, next appointments are next week.
The utter lack of energy. If I didn't have to take breaks from what I'm doing so often, or feel the need to sleep so much, it wouldn't be so bad.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is:
I know it was my own question, but it's hard. Right now, probably one of the girls starring in Broad City (Ilana and Abby). I laugh so damn hard at that show. Or maybe Amy Poehler.
Anything baby-related this week? Prestons diaper bag just for shipped today! I bought a new Vera Beadley bag for the hospital yesterday and baby shower invites are going out this week! I have another doctors appointment a week from today.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is: JK Rowling!!
Anything baby-related this week? I am meeting with a pediatrician on Thursday! And I consider today the first day of the third trimester!
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is: I think Melissa McCarthy would be awesome to meet in person! We went to NYC a few years ago and got tickets to the Jon Stewart Show and saw her there when her movie Tammy came out. She's just so funny and seems like an awesome person.
Sinus congestion and pain. Was up every 30 mins last night to sneeze and blow my runny nose. Hip pain while sleeping, but overall still lucky to be feeling good.
Anything baby-related this week?
Had an OB appt yesterday. Baby is measuring big by 1-2 weeks ahead, which is funny because I haven't felt like my bump is that big. My doctor gave me a ultrasound script to check the size of the baby...has anyone else had to do this?
Nothing so far, but ask me in a few weeks/months haha
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is:
Hmm good question, there's so many for different reasons! Scott Foley or James Marsden because they're so hot and would be fun to look at, Will Ferrel or Tina Fey to laugh with, and maybe Chrissy Teigen or Adele to talk about food and babies and gossip!
Anything baby-related this week? Nope, next check up is the 22.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is: I don't really gush over celebrities, well I guess if you count musicians then it would be a few people in country music.
I would be VERY Leary of the results of an ultrasound to check size. They can be off by as much as 20%. Which makes a huge difference in something as small as our babies. My daughter was measuring the opposite, very small. I had an ultrasound, ultrasound "confirmed" small baby. They told me to be prepared for a tiny 4-5 pound baby. Fast forward 10 days later to when she was born, 7 pounds 8 ounces. After her birth I started doing a lot of research on it. My current pregnancy was measuring 9 days big from 13-20 weeks. Then magically, at our 20 week scan had leveled out and was right on target. I, personally, take the size of baby in an ultrasound, with a grain of salt.
Dating ultrasounds in the first trimester are the most accurate. So if they mention moving up your due date, I would be very apprehensive personally. Especially if you are a first time mom or hoping to have a natural labor/delivery. First time moms, on average, notoriously go over a few days as it is. So bumping up your due date, could potentially cause unnessacary interventions later when "you're overdue" but in reality, you very well may not be at all. If that makes sense?
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My right hip started bugging me something fierce last night so I've been trying to stretch it out. I'm guessing I overdid it a bit with moving and unpacking the last few days
Anything baby related this week: Next appointment is Monday with my doctor, still waiting to hear from the high risk clinic for another consult. They are starting to drive me crazy
GTKY #1: Nothing really, I'm so excited to be pregnant, I feel like it took forever to get here
GTKY #2: Dave Grohl. I just love him
Rants/symptoms: Worst hemorrhoid of my life! Ended up having my mom check me this morning since I can't see down there - apparently if it's purple or black that can be a bad thing. My mom is my birthing buddy... and my mom... so it wasn't TOO awkward. Raves = the mini ice packs my mom made for me to relieve my lady bits/rear end. Seriously the only thing that's provided any semblance of comfort since last night at about 9pm.
Anything baby-related this week?
Had my glucose tolerance test today - fingers crossed I passed! Also on Sunday DH and I picked out/bought the paint for this LO's nursery. Looking forward to painting in the upcoming weeks!
ROIDS. I could totally do without the roids.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is:
I'm another one of those who isn't super into celebrities, so this one is tough for me! I guess if we went with celebrity crush, I'd do coffee with Jake Gyllenhaal. Jarhead Jake, though... not Prince of Persia Jake.
Anything baby-related this week? Our stroller/car seat "travel system" just arrived! First gift from the registry. This shit is getting REAL!
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is: Mindy Kaling, hands down. She's real and hilarious and I'm pretty sure she's my soul-sister.
I am getting so exhausted at work. Can't sleep very well. I know it's only going to get harder!!
Anything baby-related this week?
More leave from work. They only pay for 4 weeks then I have to use the rest of my time which will not cover the remaining 8 weeks off. Yay for not getting paid for close to a month.
GTKY #2: The one celebrity I'd love to meet at Starbucks for coffee is:
I don't like Starbucks or coffee much, but I would love to meet Jimmy Fallon. He's my favorite.
How far are you? Fruit or other comparable size: 28 weeks and the size of an eggplant
rants/raves/symptoms: ohh insomnia. I can't sleep. Also my ribs are on firrreee!!! I'm 5'2", so I get there is no where to grow but geez! I've been taking Epsom salt baths with lavender oil, which seems to help with the aching. I found out today I failed my GTT, so boo on gestational diabetes.
GTKY 1: if you could change one thing about this pregnancy what would it be? I want a complete do over! I've been pulled from work since New Years and that's been tough emotionally and financially. Then when things start looking up, something else crops up. But whatever it takes to have a healthy baby!
GTKY 2: celebrity you would like to meet at Starbucks for coffee: Ewan McGregor!! But if he is unavailable, I will be more than happy to meet with James McAvoy or Michael Fassbender
