Moms of 2 or more- labor come quicker?

Quick poll for Moms of 2 or more.....
im a STM almost 37 weeks. Just curious about your labor experience with second labor versus first.Did labor onset faster and quicker with second baby?....

I met with my doula today and she said while timing of baby coming and length of labor really varies for STM, you can pretty much depend on the pushing phase being faster.

My labors were all about the same, but I agree with pp- pushing is ten times faster. I think it is also because you know what you are doing the second time around. I knew exactly how to push and my second and third babies basically came flying out LoL

My first and second were both 12 hours from first contraction/water breaking to holding my babies, but with my first, I pushed for 53 minutes. With my second I pushed for maybe 3-4 minutes.

I really hope everyone is right about pushing being faster after the first time. I pushed for 3 hours last time, I don't want a repeat!

My 1st labor was 14 hours, with 90 min pushing. 2nd labor was 9 hours, with 20 min pushing! I also found that recovery was so much better the 2nd time for me. I had a c section with my 3rd (horrible recovery), so I am hoping for a quick, easy vbac with #4.

I had a super long induction @ 42 weeks with my first and pushed for almost 3 hours. Baby #2 came way quicker (stayed at home too long and got to the hospital at 10 cm). 4 pushes was all it took!

Thanks ladies for the positive vibes. Labor and delivery with my DS was relatively quick for a first time experience. 12 hours of labor + 1 hour of pushing.

my first was 4 hours and 3 pushes so I hope it's not any faster or I may not make it to the hospital - they told me if I ever had another child and my water broke to get the hospital immediately so I'm having some serious anxiety as my hospital is about 35 min away!

Oh no way to make you crazy with anxiety! I'm sure all will be fine but still doesn't help with the already anxiousness you feel!
