Weekly Bumpie Challenge: Drink more water!
Re: weekly health / fitness check-in (4/4)
Fitness goal? To remain toned everywhere except my belly, obviously. And, to get back to the gym, and not rely just on my pregnancy DVDs...at least until I'm much further along. I also want to start walking on my lunch breaks.
Health goal? Get back on the nutrition bandwagon. My m/s has been dictating what I eat when. And, it's rarely a healthy choice. :-/
Challenges you’re facing this week? M/s, exhaustion, a rowdy toddler.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? I love a bath. And, just watching Netflix with my hubby and the dogs once DS is in bed. Even better with a bourbon in hand (when I'm not pregnant, of course)!
Fitness goal? Now that I seem to have more energy in the evenings, I plan to get back to the gym. Also, as the weather warms up I will be walking the dog a lot more. We took her hiking for the first time this weekend and she loved it!
Health goal? I am hoping my nausea goes away and my appetite comes back soon (2nd trimester this week!) I half-heartedly meal planned yesterday so at least cooking the meals I planned and packing lunches this week would be improvement.
Challenges you’re facing this week? The weird aversions are dictating what I eat, the nausea is dictating when I eat. Also, I can’t get comfortable to sleep at night so lack of sleep might not help my fitness goal.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Yoga followed by brunch, my favorite Saturday activities!
Fitness goal? My goal is to actually workout this week. I was so good about exercise when pregnant with DS but it's much harder with a baby and FT job. I have prenatal barre DVDs at home so even if I'm not spinning I should be doing something!
Health goal? Eat healthy, walk 10k steps a day.
Challenges you’re facing this week? First trimester exhaustion is still very real over here. I am feeling more energized today so I hope we are over that hump. Also having a young child limits what exercise I can do (for example, can't go to the gym or spin classes as easily) but I can do things at home.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Well when I'm not pregnant... A nice glass of wine on the porch. Now I enjoy quiet time on the couch after putting DS to bed.
Fitness goal?
To get back to T25 today, walking during my lunch break, and 15k steps a day. I'm looking to buy a treadmill, so hopefully I have one by the end of this week.
Health goal?
Cut out the sugar and bread. I ate 90% paleo before getting KTFU, but now all I can eat are carbs
Challenges you’re facing this week?
Battling MS, fatigue and a crazy 2 year old
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax?
Snuggled up on the couch watching Parenthood.
Edit because it was early and I can't spell

Fitness goal?
Get 3 workouts in this week!
I'm finally feeling well enough to go back to my barre, TRX and pilates classes!
Health goal?
Keep working on my arms and legs and butt.... and hopefully not gain too much fat during this pregnancy.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
Just a crazy schedule. 2 Hospital tours, NT scan and a doctor's visit.... then we leave on Friday for a weekend out of town.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax?
In the past, my way of relaxing was to have a glass of wine while cooking.... but since I can't do that, I relax by reading.... or watching the latest episode of Vinyl on HBOGo.

Health goal: Healthy food choices. I'm trying to eat every 2 hours to keep the nausea at bay, but I need to choose smaller, less calorie-dense mini-meals.
Challenges: Time and energy, both of which are in short supply.
GTKY: I don't know, relaxing is hard for me. Lately, after DS goes to bed I've been sitting on the couch watching Archer.
Fitness goal? Keep up the current routine.
Health goal? As usual, more (and a wider variety of) vegetables. We try to eat pretty healthily, but I've been in a rut lately.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Like many others have mentioned, fatigue is still in full force. And I've had a really hard time sleeping lately despite how tired I am. Waking up at 5 a.m. on a Saturday for no reason (when your 2 year old slept in until 7) is frustrating.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Knitting and reading, sometimes at the same time.
@TurtleMomma I'm a big fan of Archer.Fitness goal? I started prenatal yoga yesterday so I'm on day 2 (just following along with YouTube at home). I love it so far. Did lower back yesterday and legs today. My goal is to do it at least 5 days a week, if not 7!
Health goal? This week I'm trying to eat more well-rounded meals. Lately I haven't felt in the mood for much so I end up scrounging around the house eating mostly bread. I made minestrone soup the other day packed with tons of veggies and we did a big shopping and got lots of veggies and fruit.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Being in pain from my back and yesterday I had a crazy bout of excruciating hip pain. Not sure if it is RLP or what but it was NOT fun. Hoping the yoga helps!
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Cuddling on the couch with DH.
Fitness goal? I'm already heavy from my last pregnancy. I never shed those pounds and now my hypothyroidism is making it harder to do so. So my goal is to maintain my weight as much as possible. I know I'll have to gain some but I don't want to continue ballooning up. It makes me very sad. My goal is to go for a walk everyday when DH gets home from work.
Health goal? To eat all the fruits and stay hydrated. I've been getting a lot of headaches lately.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Trying to stay positive when I'm at a weight that makes me super uncomfortable.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Sitting on my couch and browsing around on my phone or catching up on my YouTube video vlogs.
P.S Sorry about the different fonts-the mobile app is driving me crazy.
Any other bodypumpers in this group? Also curious if anyone is into prenatal yoga or barre?
Health goal: More home cooking and less eating out.
Challenges: trying to find time for fitness and health when work is kicking my butt and I love sleep so much.
GTKY: TV! And playing on internet forums.
Fitness goal? I just got my BarreAmped prenatal barre dvd, I'm excited to use that! I'm hoping to do home workouts and walk the dogs a few days a week, and then go to the gym for yoga/barre/elliptical on other days. I also want to try out the prenatal yoga classes I got a groupon for way back. I sometimes make too big a deal about starting at a new workout place, I just need to do it!
Health goal? Water water water! I also want to concentrate on eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day and increasing my protein intake. It's probably not going to happen this week, but next week I want to get back to doing more real cooking (as opposed to heating up frozen and/or premade things). I usually by organic products with few ingredients, but I really do enjoy cooking and I've gotten away from it.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Making time for workouts and not getting distracted with other things. Not overdoing it on the main meals so I can have larger snacks throughout the day. Trying to find some healthier dessert options for my sweet tooth.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to relax? Chilling on the couch with netflix, DH, and my dogs is a fave! Also... yoga, meditating, going for a walk, long showers, reading outside, and coloring.
It's a boy!
