Why I'm Crying

Has anyone seen those pictures of babies/kids crying with the captions of "why my baby is crying" and it's usually something silly ?

Here's why I'm crying. I just pumped for 10 minutes not realizing that I was leaning back and the flange wasn't fitted properly. 90% of the milk is on my sofa and pants. My husband walked into the room to me crying and said "whoever said don't cry over spilled milk wasn't talking about breastmilk!" Which of course made me laugh/cry and now I look like a crazy person.

Why have you cried lately?

Re: Why I'm Crying

  • I cried because my husband could get our baby to bed one night when I couldn't. He cried for a while with me but calmed down after a few minutes with my husband. Even though it was only one time, I felt like such a failure.

  • I cry because my baby fights naps so bad leately. It's like WW3 trying to get her tired cranky ass to sleep.

Same over here! You would think it was torture.
  • Ha ha glad I'm not alone ladies.
  • I cried when LO was waking up every hour and then taking an hour or longer to go back to sleep, I was so exhausted!
  • I cried on my home from work the other week when my husband texted me to tell me he got the baby laughing for the first time. He got video, but i totally missed her first belly laugh. My husband works from home so he takes care of the baby while I'm at work then I'm on duty in the afternoon/evening while he gets his work done. Some days I'm so jealous he gets to be home with her while I'm gone, but of course he's jealous that I get to spend my days with adults.
  • Almost the exact same thing happened to me! On my first day back at work, my hubby sent me a video of our munchkin laughing like crazy! So unfair!
  • I cried this week because I miss my son while I'm at work. I returned from leave a few weeks ago, and honestly was doing pretty well, but it's probably reality setting in that working/being away from him sucks.

I think crying with your baby is motherhood initiation. I know I have multiple times.
  • I'm crying because now that nursing doesn't hurt anymore, he will not take the boob at all. He used to only nurse at night, but now he even refuses those feedings.
  • I'm crying because I tweaked my back yesterday and now it hurts every time I move. Sitting to nurse is excruciating! Thank God it's the weekend and DH is home because the only way LO goes to sleep is if he's bounced on the ball and I definitely can't do that!

I havent cried since the first week I went back to work. But if my nerves could cry I think they would lol. I am getting pissed by my work, small little things but makes me wonder "why the hell do I bother I should be home with my baby!"
  • I'm crying as I go through clothes and take out ones that don't fit anymore..like newborn, 0-3, and most 3-6...why do they have to get so big
  • I cried today bc I missed DD roll from back to front for the first time. She's been so close and I've been willing her to do it whenever I'm with her. But she did it when DH was watching her and I was in the next room. Ridiculou that I cried but I couldn't help it!

My oldest daughter rolled for the first time while I was in the bathroom. My husband is an ass and kept bringing it up with this LO. Turns out, he was actually in the bathroom when this LO rolled. Karma, douche.
  • -I cried bc we were on our last leg of our horrible road trip, 45 mins from home, and LO was so upset at still being in the car, and i couldn't explain to her that it was almost over.  She cried, I cried.  There was a lot of crying in the car that day.

-I cried when my grandpa held her and he cried.  Happy tears on both ends, at least.

-I cried just a little when LO stared stretching out her feedings.  Which is dumb, I haven't had more than an hour break from baby duty since she was born bc she's been on some kind of perma growth spurt, it's good she's down to every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  But, I guess it made me feel like she really needed me.  Now she's totes fine with daddy all afternoon long.  This should be a good thing, why did it make me weepy?  LOL.  Motherhood does weird things to you.
  • I cried today because I cannot get anything accomplished. DD refuses to nap and is sick which makes it worse. I just want to fold the laundry and clean the bathroom. Whaaa

Oh my god, I feel your pain!! Mine took three less than thirty minute naps today when she usually takes at least one long one midday. I feel like I got nothing done and it's back to work tomorrow :(
