Elective gender scans

i did one with my son at 15 weeks that was awesome..going next week on the 9th at 14week1 day to find out this one (thy do as early as 14 weeks) anyone else doing one?

I just scheduled mine!

I'm going on April 23rd, and I'll be 15 weeks then.

I have one scheduled for the 7th (this place starts at 13 weeks), but I'll probably move it. I have an NT scan tomorrow and a scan with my OB on the 5th. If they cannot tell at all, I'm going to bump mine out a couple weeks.

I was obsessed with elective scans with DD and probably went 4-5x.

I am planning one as well. With my first, I was patient enough to wait till 17 weeks, but I'm feeling the itch early this time. Did people have previous success finding baby's sex as early as 15 weeks?

I haven't done one. Last pregnancy I was fine waiting until 20 weeks. This time, however, I went and had my blood drawn today at 11+6 for the verify test, and CANNOT wait to find out.

I'm not this time (team green), but I did with dd and was so glad I did. It was a really relaxed environment, and we got to spend a lot of time just staring at the screen while dd wiggled and squirmed all around and the tech pointed out everything to us. I was seriously mesmerized. And we got to take a video home to keep. It's really the only thing I'm bummed about missing out on being team green. We went at 16 weeks. And coincidentally, the tech at the elective place ended up being the tech at our A/S. Apparently she worked at the elective place on weekends on the side for extra cash.

My OB when I was pregnant with DS seemed to do ultrasounds at almost every visit. I went at maybe 14 1/2 weeks for a routine visit and we got a clear view that he was a boy. Id say it just depends on baby.

@gavzillaxo Thanks for the reply! Yeah, my DD was pretty uncooperative so we actually took a thirty minute break while they saw someone else at my 17 week elective scan last time. I purposely waited a little longer because I was told more confident results, but I'm pretty anxious this time around. Thanks again! I think I'll set up a 15 week scan anyway

I scheduled mine for next Friday 4/8 mainly its for fun, and a good reason to sneak another peak at baby. But also because it's our wedding anniversary and I thought if just maybe and that's a maybe we could find out the sex, it would be a great gift to one another.

My OB does at least a brief ultrasound every appointment, (and then an in-depth couple around 18-25 weeks,) and last time I was 14 weeks when I found out I was having a boy. My OB said that he could tell that early around 98% of the time.

I will most likely be able to find out on my US at 15 wks! It's not common practice in TZ to know beforehand so I hope I don't confuse them too much but I just can't wait.

I probably won't get one until around the 20 week mark, but looking at the US thread, I'm considering looking into a 4D, those things are wild! No for gender specifically, but because those are just too cool.

We kind of considered it. i wanted to be Team Green but DH wants to know so we are going to find out. We might have decided to do an elective scan if my OB wasn't doing it at 17 weeks anyways.

We have one scheduled for two weeks from tomorrow.. I'll be just about 16 weeks!! I can't wait!

With my son I waited for my anatomy scan at 20 weeks but this time around I scheduled a 3D gender determination ultrasound at 16 weeks. So excited. We are having a reveal at our house on May 1.

We have one scheduled at 15 weeks. It was only an extra $50 to find out 5 weeks earlier. That's what DH and I would normally spend on a date night, so we figured why not?!

We are trying one at 14 weeks with the twins just because waiting until 20 weeks with two babies feels like the hardest thing ever right now. The elective place we are having it done will give you another free appointment of for whatever reason they cannot determine at the first one.

I have one scheduled for the 9th as well but at my NT scan yesterday (14weeks) it was pretty obvious it was a boy. We might still go just to take DS and DD to see him.

My Dr's office starts doing "sneak peaks" at 16 weeks for $30. I'm doing it at my next appointment on the 21st. Hopefully we can find out. I'll be 16+3.

I wanted to do it but couldn't get DH on board to pay $45-$75 but maybe if I can find a cheep sneak peek package (like $30) then I'll fight harder. We have our A/S scheduled for 19w 2d so that's a week sooner than last time.

I would totally go if my hubby was on board! Lol. Before we got pregnant, I thought about being team green. Now that I'm pregnant. I am SOOO anxious to find out what I'm having it's insane. We only get one ultrasound this pregnancy unless there are any complications. So I just want to see the baby, and find out what we are having! Hahah. But hubby told me to just be patient! Hahaha! It's so hard!

We waited until 20 weeks last time and only had a dating and the a/s so talk about patience!

This time I have the a/s at 19 weeks but and thinking of talking my husband into and elective at 15 weeks because I'm impatient.

I always said I'd never, ever do an elective ultrasound (we get a pretty good amount through our OB), but DH surprised me by suggesting we go at 16 weeks to find out the sex. Once he put it out there I couldn't stop thinking about it, so yeah...we're going April 27th, right before a Red Sox game. It'll be a good way to celebrate!

So of course I started googling elective US places and found one right down the street from us. We could go this week at 15 weeks for $90 but DH doesn't want to in case something is wrong with the baby because they wouldn't be able to tell us

I'm scheduling for 15 weeks, we just have to decide if we are going to bring our toddler on a weekend or have it written down in secret and have me go alone. Just have to wait 2 long weeks.
