2. What is your diagnosis?
3. What is your current treatment plan?
QOTW: What is your favorite movie?
Re: TTTC Checkin 04/05/2016
Good Morning!
My DH went to his follow up appointment with the Urologist yesterday afternoon and was basically blown off. He said because DH didn't take the clomid (It was really expensive and urologist presented it to us that he didn't really think it would help) that was the end of the line. He could refer him to another doctor in Toronto (about an hour away from us). But DH told the doc that I had been referred to another specialist in our area and the doc said 'well go there then' and got up and left. DH was not impressed.
I still haven't received an appointment time for the new fertility specialist....so still waiting for that.
QOTW: What is your favorite movie? It is probably a 3 way tie between 'Life as a House', 'The Other Sister', and 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape.'

I have a bit of a crazy story! A refresher about me is that DH and I had 5 unsuccessful IUI cycles and were prepared to move to IVF. We had the nurse consult and just decided to take this past month off while we got "our heads straight". Move forward to yesterday when FF told me I was a day late. I decided what the hell and took my last HPT. I was absolutely shocked to see a BFP. I called my clinic and they had me come in for a beta- it was 437!!! My progesterone is a bit low at 7.9 so I started crinone gel. I go back tomorrow for a repeat beta.
I want to thank all of you ladies for the tremendous support and I wish lots of BFPs to this board!!
@GoldenKeys can you please add me to the BFP Hall of Fame?

Spencer Elliott born 12/7/2016
I am so happy to be a part of this group. I find it is really helping me deal with the difficulties and emotions surrounding TTTC.
Update: AF arrived on Sunday. I was pretty upset but at the same time we decided to send off a referral if AF arrived. My GP sent off the referral yesterday, the website of the fertility clinic says they see clients within 30 days of a referral so at least we are one step closer to finding out whats going on.
My SIL also found out that we are TTC but not that we are having difficulties. It was hard to talk to her (even briefly about it) and she still doesn't know about the trouble we are having. I am afraid she will start to ask questions in an insensitive manner and that I'll break down.
I LOVE movies so it is really hard to pick a favourite! @BecauseLove Dirty Dancing is definitely one of my favourites! I also love Disney's The Little Mermaid.
Favorite Movie: Sixteen Candles or Bridesmaids at the moment although this answer changes often haha.

Well, I did get my results today. I'm in limbo and need your advice. The news was mixed. The good news is my CD3 labs qualify me for the study (really, they qualify me for the screening phase of the study). The bad news is that I'm not eligible for the study until June, which will be a full year of (documented) infertility. We got started early on our journey because my husband had testicular surgery as a teenager and knew he would have issues. So we decided not to wait and got tested immediately after we started really trying, and received our MFI diagnosis 4 months in. The study doesn't care that we have a legitimate diagnosis, and says we have to wait until June to participate. I would be fine with waiting until June, but there's still no guarantee that I'll be accepted once I sign consents and get screened further. My biggest concern is my AMH level. In October it came back at 4.5, and in March it came back at 5.75. The study requires >5 to be accepted. The nurse at my clinic said that about 1/3 of the people that they enter in the study get denied for this reason (the clinic shows an AMH of >5 but the study does not). DH and I don't know what to do. Waiting 2 months would be annoying, but doable, if we knew we could participate. But waiting 2 months and getting denied sounds horrific to me. What would you do? DH wants me to do 1 more AMH test at my clinic to see what the results are this time. If it's less than 5, we say screw the study and move on... if it's greater than 5 again then we wait for the study and hope for the best.

@wifeinraleigh28 I hope you are able to qualify for the study, while 2 months feel like an eternity in TTC time, it really isn't that long and could save you a TON of money if you qualify. Is the worry that you will put off other treatment in the meantime? Or are you thinking of going ahead with the IVF this month?
@ACAC25 @madasm0530 @lablover78 and any other ladies on CD1 or AF... I'm sorry
AF arrived yesterday, and I wasn't too shocked since all my tests this weekend were bfn's. It just never gets any easier, I thought it might... but it never does, and actually I think the closer I get to a true infertility diagnosis, the worse this all feels.
I rode off the pain today at a horseback riding lesson. My instructor kept asking if I was tired yet but I just had all this pent up frustration energy I just needed to wear off (don't worry, no frustration was taken out on the horse

I don't have any plans for next cycle, I feel like I've run out of plans. DH isn't ready for IUI and I'm sick of monitoring my cycle; I've been doing this for 10 cycles now. I think I'm going to take a break from monitoring, my cycles are pretty regular anyway, and just hope for the best. I need a break to regroup.

My FS gave me until April 11th, and then I contact them for a Provera prescription to induce AF.
I've also started a keto diet, as I have been finding some research indicating that it can help with PCOS...I'll keep you all updated on if it helps (I really have no idea...but I'm desperate!) I have started a discussion board about it as well, and would love any insight that anyone may have on this!
My husband also bought me "When To Expect When You're Expecting" and there's a chapter on Before Conception that I plan on digging my heels in, but then hiding the book away in a dark corner until I'm able to read the rest!
QOTW: Favourite movie: The Sound of Music
(PS: Sorry for all of the posts and quote boxes, next week I will start using the name drop, it is far less obnoxious!)
GL to everyone this week! xo

1. How long have you been TTC?
I have been off birth control since October 2014. It took me six months to get my period so we've now been trying for just over a year. I tend to have short cycles so it's probably been about 15 cycles.
2. What is your diagnosis?
I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS. DH just got his SA back and it showed low sperm count. I guess we have two strikes against us now. We're still waiting for our RE appointment but have been referred. I suspect more testing is in the works.
3. What is your current treatment plan?
I've just started Metformin which will hopefully help get things going from my end. I'm looking for ways to boost DH's sperm count (any tips? I've read about Vitamin C, Vitamin E, zinc and selenium…)
QOTW: What is your favorite movie?
I am a huge Christmas movie fan. My favourite is probably the Holiday!
@erica0901 congrats! what a crazy story! Fingers crossed for a nice sticky bean!
@ReesaAnne16 @wifeinraleigh28 I am so type A too and have a really hard time with the desire to plan everything too. Waiting to hear from the RE is making me crazy already
@ACAC25 @madasm0530 @lablover78 sorry to hear about AF =(

DH and I have been taking some time off of the RE to plan our wedding. But still taking Metformin. My cycle has been really long, they vary a LOT. So as of Wednesday I was past my max days of cycle, and decided to take a test. My first BFP in the 2 years of trying. However, I do have a history of miscarriage, so I will stick around to continue giving support until we get to the safe zone of 12 weeks. I want say a huge THANKS to everyone on here. I can't tell you how many really rough days I had, and you ladies were always here with understanding and kind words.
Crossing my fingers for a sticky peanut!
@Goldenkeys please add me to the BFP hall of fame.
And thanks again ladies, baby dust and love to everyone!
And my favorite movie, everything with Steve Carell ❤️, he always makes me laugh!
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
2. What is your diagnosis? I'm not really sure. Polyp was removed in November. My normal luteal phase is 9 days. Possibly have polycystic ovaries, but I ovulate. Everything else looks fine.
3. What is your current treatment plan? We've done an hcg booster 5/6dpo for the last two cycles to lengthen my luteal phase. The doctor has been pushing clomid and iui since before she even looked at my uterus and wants us to do that next cycle. My husband is not comfortable with iui after only two medicated cycles, and I would like to try other options first/give it more time. We're going away for a week later this month and so I'm taking off a month anyway. I think we'll take a break from the RE indefinitely, and go to another one when we go back. This one's aggressive approach is not working for me, and I'm sick of tri-weekly appointments where she doesn't tell me anything new.
Things have been really rough with work and my new (awful) boss keeps asking if I'm interviewing, when I say I have to go to the doctor's. I finally broke down (teared up) and said I wish, I'm actually dealing with an unpleasant health issue. I didn't tell her what, because I don't owe her that. She said she understood and said health issues only get worse with age, compared it to her plantar fasciitis. I've been having serious issues with her as a manager and raised my voice at her about something this week... I basically yelled at her and was extremely honest/raw. She's pushing everyone in our office to the brink, I'm just the most raw right now. I don't regret what I said, but still it's really rough, I don't usually act like this. If we have to meet with HR, I have plenty to tell them. Not sure you can ask someone if they're interviewing. Then Friday after what happened at work, my husband and I went to dinner at his family's and I drank waay too much. I saw her last night at an event I was working and she brought friends to and we were pleasant/she complimented my hair, but our last exchange before this was her storming out of my office and saying I can't even talk to you, just so you know this is going to be an issue.
I'm stressed as hell about work/the constant manufactured crises. I want to leave, but I'm scared to find a new job when I've been doing this for half a decade and am good at it. We're trying to move in July, and if we buy or need approval, steady work looks good. Also, if I have to do more fertility treatments, I feel like I can't start a new job and be fully dedicated/do my best at learning it.
I think the stress of fertility issues is making it hard for me to have an artificial veneer or put up with bullshit. Sorry for the tirade, but this is not a good time. Also, I'm turning 31 this week, starting ttc when I was 29, and my period is due tomorrow or Tuesday.

@Malone24 I can relate almost 100% to what you are going through at work....actually...are you at my work? Our new boss is horrible and continues to ask me about where I'm going when I book time off. We can do ours through out computer so I don't have to talk to anyone about it, but she always comes into my office to ask. I never tell her what I'm doing. It's non of her business. I always just say I have an appointment.
I am also in the same boat about being stressed at work and wanting to leave. But I am scared as my schedule here is very flexible and I have excellent benefits and RRSP's.
