  • WHY can't my washer and dryer be on the same level as where I actually live? Do they have to be in the basement where I then have to go up and down the stairs every time I want to do laundry? This is why ranch homes are appealing to me.

GTKY: One of my pet peeves is when one of my mom friends claims a particular cartoon character for their child to the point where she side-eyes you if your child is wearing a shirt with that character on it or some other item sporting the character. For example, I have a friend who claimed that Minnie Mouse was her daughter's favorite character at around 6 months of age. That was totally fine but fast forward to her daughter's 1st birthday party where the theme is Minnie Mouse. Most of us decided it would be cute to dress our kids in Minnie and Mickey shirts, just to blend with the theme and she didn't like that one bit. She wanted her daughter to be the only one sporting Minnie that day. I mean...

  • I'm having a party for my friend that sells wildtree but I don't even wanna make this food at all. this couch has swallowed me up!

my biggest pet peeve is hearing someone chew or swallow. I cannot eat in silence.
  • @mrszoess When people make that hard swallow sound when they're drinking ::shivers::

  • @michi1382 oh my god I could vomit
  • People chewing and swallowing loud also makes me ragey and disgusted. Like wtf, so unnecessary. Your eating habits shouldn't make others vomit.

My problem is that the thought of driving to a Buy Buy Baby makes me want a nap. I'm just so tired and lazy that the one exciting thing on my long weekend to-do list, going in person to check out stuff for our registry, is feeling like a chore too....
  • #1- The weather in Ohio.. SNOW in April
#2 A snow plow going about 40mph in reverse down someone's driveway HIT ME and told the cop I had snow all over my car.. NOTE CLEAN CAR. IDIOT. That being said, my body is totally tense and of course I'm worried about our little Reese Cup.
  • @Sprinkels28 oh no, I'm so sorry that scary nonsense happened to you! Ummm did they not realize that even if your car had snow on it they aren't supposed to plow it??? Hope you and Reese Cup are fine and that it's minimal hassles to get them to fix/replace it! Just throwing this out there, a reminder to anyone with a car seat in an accident, insurance needs to replace it
  • @Sprinkels28 Dang! That sucks big time.

  • @cbamama641 I'm definitely over this weather! I would move if I could. Lol. I don't know what part of MI you're in, but in southeast MI tomorrow is supposed to be the last cold day. Next weekend it's supposed to be like 65-70 degrees!

  • I hate our thermometers. They suck. I want an accurate easy way to take DDs temp. She was burning up last night and I try to NOT give meds unless the fever gets to about 101. The stupid thing kept giving me different readings each time. I don't know why we have such a hard time with thermometers. I think I have purchased 6 or 7 since having my first in 2012. I want to get one of those roller ball thermometers and see if I like it better. If not I'm going back to a regular one that goes under the tongue.

I'm with you ladies on loud chewers. I had one friend who I lost it on. She was smacking so loudly with her mouth wide open. I clamped my hands over my ears, closed my eyes, and kinda growled. I grabbed my plate and walked away. I can be a bit dramatic. We were at a barbecue so I just stayed away from her for the rest of the party. We never talked about it after that. Haha.

I can't stand aggressive drivers/people who get road rage. I guess I'm just lucky and seem to be a passenger with those types of people. Brake checking, speeding up to ride someones ass, cutting people off, NO! It gives me major anxiety to be in the car with people who do that. My husband drives aggressively and I usually drive when we go places together to avoid getting into a fight with him about his driving.

I'm in south central and I heard next weekend is supposed to be beautiful!  Fingers crossed!
  • California will take all of the wet weather we can get! It's raining in my neighborhood today, thank god.

My peeve, since I am at work today, is customers that don't understand that I don't make the rules. I don't own the company. I just work for it! I normally have the patience of a saint, but apparently not while pregnant.

  • My gossip coworker, the one I posted about in TwatWaffle Tuesday, blabbed that I'm pregnant to the rest of the office. Exactly two people knew, one of them being my supervisor whom I know has an appreciation for personal privacy, and the TwatWaffle coworker. Hmmmm, big mystery there. I am furious.

GTKY: not replacing the toilet paper when you kill a roll (or when somebody leaves three sheets left on the roll and doesn't replace it).

  • Why don't any stores have maternity clothes in town? Or, if they do, why do they only have 4 different pieces in 2 sizes? I don't want to buy online and get it in 5-7 days hoping it will fit, I want to find some freaking work pants that I can start wearing this week!

My pet peeve: people who get pets but don't take care of them (vet visits, heartworm pills) or, keep them chained in the yard and only see the animal to throw some food at it. Owning a pet is a bigger commitment than just taking it home.

  • I'm cold natured and absolutely freezing. MIL is hot because she's been cooking supper. FI Cranks the air up while I'm under a throw blanket shivering. Lol
  • @TurtleMomma oh I would be piiiiiissed!!

Oh I am. I'm going to talk to my supervisor on Monday. Knowing the twatwaffle's track record, clients will be congratulating me shortly and I will not stand for that. I work with a lot of mentally unstable people and that's the last thing I want.

  • So many touched on this but I'm in the despise noises when eating group as well as my DD. (She's 15) It's been a real struggle for the past year when my FI's kids all moved in. They have AWFUL eating habits so dinner is sometimes torturous. They all hold their forks/spoons in the shovel method, chew with their mouths open, scrape their teeth against their forks, get food all over their faces. My FI does NOT eat like that at all but I think he was so outnumbered when it was just him and them it was something that went by the wayside. It's hard to give reminders all the time without criticizing.

@turtlemomma There are 8 people in my house and I'm the only one who ever replaces the roll in both bathrooms, drives me bonkers!

My only petty problem today is heartburn has set in and I can't sleep though I should be exhausted!
  • @jillianpardo we have one of those roller ball thermometers. I love it. As long as you roll it right the temp is correct. My DD loves it she will just randomly bring it to me and say take my temperature mommy!

  • Makes me crazy when people say acrost instead of across...get out of here. Also most of everything else, so much worse now that I'm preg.
  • I can't tell if my nose is completely stuffed up due to pregnancy or an actual cold but I'm Over It
