Outed at the OB's office

The one place you think your secret is safe.
I had my first prenatal appointment yesterday (baby's well). I live in large metropolitan area, which offers approximately 1 billion OBGYNs.
But of course, as I walk in the door, I see a casual friend of mine who also happens to be the world's biggest blabbermouth. We chat casually but I'm trying to hurry the conversation along because DH is going to walk in the door any minute. If she sees him, the gig is up- because why else would DH come to my appointment?
We finish chatting and I think I'm in the clear. She leaves and I breathe a sigh of relief. A few minutes later, in comes DH and we have a laugh about the close call. Seconds later, here comes my friend again- of course, she left her purse in the exam room. She notices DH and gives me a quizzical look. At the same moment, the nurse sticks her head into the waiting room and says "oh good he's here- the ultrasound tech is ready for y'all."
Gig's up.

Oh no, I'm so sorry that happened to you with a blabbermouth...I can't lie when I went in for mine I kept looking at the door every time someone came thinking ugh my luck it's someone I know.
Anyway you can contact her and ask her to keep your secret for a bit?
I got off pretty easy compared to some ladies on this board whose relatives announced on FB and tagged them.

Lol that happened to me once but I wasn't pregnant. I was getting an ultrasound to check of ovarian cysts and I had been dating DH for a couple of months. When I went to the appointment I ran into one of his really good family friends who happened to hear them call me in for an ultrasound! She never said anything and obviously realized I wasn't pregnant but I was cringing inside!
I hope she can keep it quiet for your sake!!

Idk though, I even get pissed when I order a wawa hoagie and they call out my order. JUST SAY THE NUMBER that's why it's there!
But I'm from NJ, so there's that.

I took my watch to the jeweler for a new battery one afternoon when I finished work early - and bumped into my now-BIL looking at engagement rings! I was so relieved when he finally proposed so I didn't have to keep a secret anymore!
