Faith Fridays 4-8-16

It's ok to share sometimes.

Lots of times we are put in the right place at the right time to hear someone's story. You weren't being nosey you just overheard it. Sometimes you have something to add to the conversation that you feel has merit. In your mind you're like "Ohh I have something to say" or "I know about this"

If I'm with my students or in the grocery store and that moment comes up, I pray and ask God to open the door to share the thought. From a good restaurant to a warning about a medical condition sometimes you can make a difference.

But sometimes He says "Not the right time" and that goes to having wisdom about the situation. Maybe it won't be recieved or misinterpreted.

When you are in the position to share do that internal check and if you get the green light share in the right way. There have been times when after speaking to someone they come back later and say that conversation made a world of difference in their lives. But even in those instances you have to remember to stay humble and know that it's not about you. It's about them.

  • Please keep families who have lost children to senseless violence in your prayers. Attended a funeral today for a 15 y/o who was killed on the way to or from getting a haircut for Easter on a public metro platform. No motive, no suspects, just a random killing. Great kid too. The Pastor today spoke about how laws can't change people's hearts and how only God can. Over 200 teens responded to the Altar call, praying for peace and comfort in their hearts as well. Please pray for change in people's hearts to stop hurting others and for change in the community as well.
