Embryo quality change

We did a FET today and our embryos changed grades. Our embryos were graded good/good (the highest our clinic uses) and today wine they were thawed the embryologist graded them fair/fair. My doctor said the grading is subjective, but I'm really concerned. Last FET from a previous cycle we transferred fair/fair and ended up with a chemical pregnancy. Has this happened to anyone else. We froze 9 good/good embryos and I'm wondering if we should have had them thaw new ones today. It's too late now, but maybe if it happens again.

Re: Embryo quality change

  • missilini  - don't worry too much about the visual grading, there really isn't a whole lot of certainty with that.

All of our 6 embryos graded at the highest quality (like they were super thrilled with how they looked visually), then the PGS results came back with 5 of them being chromosomally incorrect. The one that was chromosomally correct and visually the best quality (both at freeze and thaw) did not take.

Positive thoughts, hopefully you will be welcoming this embryo as your baby 9 months from now, keeping Fx for you. Good luck!
