My hubby gets two weeks off in the summer. Probably one week in June and one in July! Or two weeks back to back. We probably would just go somewhere for a few nights maybe a week. I was thinking a cabin somewhere.. We want to go somewhere with our little guy. He will
Be 9 or 10 months. Any ideas? Getting a little stir crazy and looking forward to a trip. I'd love to do Mexico but July isn't the time to go so
Probably save that one till next year when he's a year and a half. Where can we go? And have a successful trip? We are from Canada. I miss travelling.

Re: Where to travel
We are in the same boat. We are looking for some short weekend trips to take LO with us to get used to traveling. We are from New York. We used to take weekend trips all the time to places within 3 hours distance but now with LO we know those areas we used to go aren't that much fun or a lot for the kiddos to do. So we are looking for new spots for driving distance. We do have a trip coming up in August - Ocean City, MD. We used to go every year around July 4th (this year pushed back a bit as a friend who we go with will have a newborn in July). So we are looking to take some smaller trips before the big on in August to get LO used to the travel -- because as of right now he hates the car at night which is usually the best time to travel of course
which is usually the best time to travel of course
I will say though if your willing to go that far -- Ocean City, MD is great for the kids and adults! There is a lot for everyone to do, the beach, the main strip, etc. there are tons of places that are great for the LOs at all ages. WE can't wait to introduce our LO to the little people water parks
I should prob get her used to it though !!
but it doesn't sound like you guys are going that far.
I love Ogunquit, Maine. It's family friendly, nice beaches, trolleys the kids will love. Also thought the NC Outer Banks were great. Or Cape Cod, Massachusetts or Newport, RI. There's always lots of kids in these places.
if I had the money I'd vaca to San Diego and show my fiancé where I used to live and take the kids to all the beaches and enjoy the amazing weather there!
