For babies due 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27

How many weeks? 18! Holy smokes! Almost halfway there!!!!

What size? Sweet potato, sugar glider, slingshot (what?) ... not crazy about this week's size, but I could go for some sweet potato fries...

Upcoming appointments? 2 weeks and 1 day until my anatomy scan, with 20 week appointment the day after. Who's counting?

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - feeling baby tumble around in there is really wonderful and what I missed most after giving birth (which sounds silly, but really)

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Nothing specific, just trying to eat a bit healthier. Up 14 pounds at 18 weeks and would really like to be about the same by 20. Last pregnancy I gained about 40 pounds and lost it quickly so I'm not overly concerned, but trying to stay on that path (or a bit less as I started this one 5 pounds up!)

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Music. I like to be taken away by lyrics, completely consumed. My 45 minute commute is pure heaven if I can find the right jams to get me from point A to B.

What size? A chipmunk or onion.

Upcoming appointments? The anatomy scan is on the 28th. Seems forever away now that I'm so impatient to find out the sex.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I felt the baby move this morning!!! I was sitting on the couch, and it was finally no mistaking that it was the baby. It was wiggling like crazy for several seconds then DD pinched me, I jumped and it stopped. Now, I'm hoping it's like it was with DD and I feel it consistently every day from here on out.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Usual symptoms and cravings.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

I don't know. DH and DD are the only things that come to mind. Or at least some sort of contact with them (text, phone call, facetime).

Upcoming appointments? Anatomy scan on the 22nd

Rants/Raves/Questions? Not pregnancy related, but my husband MIGHT get a retroactive pay raise for the last year his union has been without a contract. It wouldn't be a huge check, but it would bump us about a month ahead on our get-out-of-debt journey. I'm so excited/anxious that I can hardly think straight.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I am craving beer so, so bad, but not just any beer. My husband is a very skilled brewer and the beers he makes are just incredible. The smells alone are heavenly (think lush flower and herb gardens), and my souped up pregnancy nose makes them so much more intense. I wish there was a way he could make me a beer without alcohol.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? A good book. I get antsy if I don't have something to read.

What size? A mango, my favorite fruit! .. Now I really want some mango.

Upcoming appointments? Had one today, anatomy US/standard checkup.

Rants/Raves/Questions? So my anatomy scan went really well in general, I have lots of fantastic pictures and some really nice profile shots. I do, however, have to go back in 2 weeks because baby fell asleep 1/3 of the way through and the tech was not able to get some of the angles she needed. This seems like a perfectly innocuous reason to come back but I can't help feeling a little bit nervous. Has this happened to anyone else?

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Lol, mangos. I bought my husband an ice cream maker for his birthday this last weekend, so maybe I'll plant some seeds of encouragement for mango sorbet.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Some kind of a strategy game or another, whether it's chess, a video game, etc. It relaxes me while keeping my brain going.

@Thurstobertay - last pregnancy Emmett was spine up at the anatomy scan. I peed, I did jumping jacks, tried to get him to move. He was moving, but not interested in rolling over. I went back the following week to get images of his cord/profile/etc. There was no reason for concern, he was just content in there (and I felt him moving all the time, so it didn't scare me) and I enjoyed a second look at the baby (my husband was working so my mom got to come to an ultrasound and otherwise she wouldn't have). Silver linings.

@Thurstobertay I had to come back at 24 weeks with my daughter because they couldn't get pics of her heart or profile. A girl I worked with at the time warned me it may happen, so I think it's actually pretty common. This time I'm expecting them to not get everything the first scan.

@camichael84 - same here! I keep saying "I hope we get all the info we need, and I hope we find out the sex!" I'm a little more informed this go-round that positioning really matters and can't always be changed!

@AnnaS930 @camichael84 Thanks for the reassurances guys, I'm feeling better about ultrasound #2. I think I was really lucky that the last two were super active exhibitionists during their ultrasounds.

Upcoming appts? April 19th - anatomy scan and 20 week appt. I hope these next two weeks go by fast.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Not pregnancy related, but I feel accomplished today. Went to the grocery store, organized some of the basement and I took my younger daughter to her first gym class while my older daughter was at pre-school. She loved it. It's in a gymnastics center and all she wanted to do was jump on the tumble track. I got exhausted just watching her.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions: I'm doing pretty good. I'm losing my appetite though. Nothing is tasting good to me. My husband, my daughter and I walked aimlessly around the grocery store this morning and not one thing interested me. Why can't it be like this when I'm not pregnant?? I'd be at my goal weight in no time.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Assuming my girls and husband are with me, my iPhone. It has everything...my calendar, tons of photos, music, notes. It's like command central for me.

@Thurstobertay With my first daughter's anatomy scan, I ended up going back twice for follow-ups. They couldn't get all the views of the heart they needed. It was nerve wracking, but everything was fine and now that little one is a happy, healthy 4 year old.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Non baby related, but we had to cancel the closing on our construction loan because the building permit isn't back yet. I'm losing my mind. I'm going to have to pull out the "hi I'm pregnant and I need this house built by September" card

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Craving salt and vinegar chips in the worst way today. It ls my first real craving. I also want pizza all the time but that is nothing new. As for symptoms, other than peeing a lot I haven't really had any

How many weeks? 16.

What size? Avocado/coke can. The coke can comparison made it real for me, because fruit and vegetables vary so much, and I see coke cans a lot more often than avocados.

Upcoming appointments? Anatomy scan at the end of the month.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I can feel my uterus! That sounds really weird, but today is the first day I've been able to feel it under my skin. I was worried I wouldn't be able to because of all the fat on top of my stomach, but my husband can feel it too!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm doing a lot better lately. It helps that my husband and friends and family are all supportive. However if I don't take my magnesium supplement by a certain time every single day, I get a 24 hour migraine.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Phone. It has my calendar.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Nervous that actually feeling MORE nauseous this week-will it ever end?! I need to enjoy eating again! Has anyone else had MS throughout pregnancy? How did you find the ability to eat healthy, I'm really struggling with eating anything that isn't super plain like cereal or oatmeal. I can manage apples and bananas most days, but vegetables and meat just aren't doing it for me lately..

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Same symptoms and many aversions, but still no cravings.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Other than my family, I'd have to say iPhone since my life is stored on it-especially all of my pictures.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I got outside this weekend to do some hiking and to enjoy nature. It felt so good to have energy again to enjoy my weekend. My legs had been hurting all week for no reason and after hiking/walking they felt great.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I have moments during the day when my nipples are on fire. I wanted to cry yesterday morning while trying to put on my bra.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
I know that food is a necessity, but what I eat matters. I have to eat at least one thing every day that I really enjoy and get excited about. Today it was an egg salad sandwich.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm just tired, chasing my toddler all day. I feel bigger this time than I did last time - I broke out the maternity pants this week. My boobs are finally tender and heavier. They didn't change at all first trimester

What size? A chipmunk or a game controller. My boys loved this one! They were so excited she was the size of one of their controllers.

Upcoming appointments? April 29th is my anatomy scan and next appointment

Rants/Raves/Questions? I still can't say for 100% if I am feeling baby move or if it is just gas. I'll probably feel that way until I can see it on the outside.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Meat!

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? This one is hard forme. I don't have a phone so that is out, anytime we go camping I don't have my computer or internet so I can go a day without that, I go without my kids at least once a week during the summer so they are out. I guess I'd have to say a car.

Upcoming appointments? Friday - I get my first Mikena shot and I'll get to hear baby's heart beat. Then the next appointment will be the a/s!

Rants/Raves/Questions? We find out on Saturday if baby is a boy or a girl. I can't wait! We're having a gender reveal party with close friends and family

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Feeling pretty normal lately

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Probably Facebook. That's where my first BMB group is and I feel lost if I don't know what's going on pretty regularly. I'm impressed with those in that group that already had kids cause it's definitely harder to keep up here with a little one at home already!

Rants/Raves/Questions?Rant:Just tired of being sooo tired and getting half of what I should be getting done done. Also, just started throwing up from morning sickness this week. I thought I had dodged that bullet and just got to be nauseous. Nope...

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? sympoms-just added morning sicknes, and pain in my hip joint. cravings-ice cream and anything bubbly, settles my stomach. aversions-onions and red meat.

GTKY: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Books, particularly books on tape. I listen to 3-4 books every week.
