I dream feed most nights. We're doing 2-4 feeds a night. DD is 17 weeks tomorrow over 10 lbs but I don't think by much. We bedshare but have just transitioned to the crib. I bring her into bed to feed her now.
14-16 weeks DD was waking to feed every 1-3 hours. I dream feed DD the whole night. She doesn't wake fully until around 8 am. The rest of the night she wakes me up with this fussy arm flailing thing and routing around on the crib mattress. I feed her, she settles, back in crib. BTW, this hasn't changed at almost 19 weeks.
DD is 15 weeks. We are waking up for one feed around 4-5am then she eats every two hours after that. DH leaves when she wakes up so I put her in bed with me. Before that she is in the co sleeper.
We feed between 6-7am, 9am,12pm, 3pm, 5:30pm, 7:30pm and then between 1-2am. Of course it's not always exactly those times but very close since he is in daycare all week and they stick to this schedule for the 9,12 and 3 feeds. During the wonder weeks or growth spurts, sometimes he will need another night feed. My son is 19weeks this Friday and weighs 17lbs.
Great thanks! I have been nursing a lot at night and my LO is 16lbs at 13 weeks, so I'm planning to step up the day nursing to see if I can get more calories so I'm not feeding six times a night. I'm going to try and dream feed at 1030-11
Macks 18w and 15lbs and is bfed 2-3times plus a 4oz formula bottle. I think some of the nursing she does for comfort. We usually dream nurse/feed but this damn regression ensures she wakes up fully now.
Nico is 17 weeks around 15 lbs. I dream feed but he still gets up 2-4 times a night. It's getting to where he flails his arms and turns his head looking for my boob. At this point, I don't even know if he's hungry or just loves the boob.
My LO does the flailing too...she's 14 weeks and usually eats 2x a night but wakes up 3-4x. I try not to feed every time she wakes because she can usually be settled quickly with the pacifier (I just wish I could figure out what's waking her up) we don't dream feed...she goes down at like 8 and is up at 7/7:30 am
She goes down around 8 and sleeps til 5/6. Then again until maybe 830. After that I swear she feeds almost ever hour-two hours. I think making up the calories from sleeping thru the night
i really hope the sleeping gets better for you. I know it sucks. It took my son forever to sleep through the night. Best of luck to you guys dd is 15 weeks & typically eats 2x- once between 11-1 & then around 3/3:30. It so variable I have no idea. She stirs & I just nurse her (bed share). I want to move her into the sidecar & see if she'll sttn. She's soooo different than my son was though. I'd have never dreamed of moving him this early.
My 11 lb 17 week old has been sleeping from 8:30 to 5:30 for the past 5 weeks. Her sister was the same weight at this age and woke up multiple times per night until 7 or 8 months. My only thought is this one likes the bottle and takes 4 oz per feeding while I'm at work. The other one loved boob a lot and was not a fan of the bottle. But mostly I think it has to do with other magical factors that I will never be able to discern.
LO is 16w tomorrow. I don't BF, but we've pretty much gotten rid of the MOTN feeding. Depending on when he goes down, sometimes it is around 6-7 and other times it's around 8-9, he gets up between 11pm-1am (1 am is the latest, and that's pretty rare) to have a bottle, then will be down until 6-7 AM. Sometimes he goes a little bit later, 7:30-8:00. On a really good night, which we've been getting 1-2 times a week now pretty consistently, he has his "last bottle" we call it, around 11-11:30. We can then get him back to sleep by 11:30-12:00, and he will sleep through until 6-7 a.m..
When we do the 11pm-1am feeding we give him a 4 oz bottle which is 1 oz. less than what he gets during the day. We are hoping to decrease it by .5 oz. within the next week or so, and hope that he will be done with it all together by the 5 month mark.
DD is 15 weeks (wow how fast time flies!). It's like a switch turned on about 10 days ago and she started sleeping WAY more. She goes down in her rock n play around 8:30p then wakes up around 10p for her diaper change, jammies & feeding. Goes down for the night at 10:30p and sleeps until 5:30am. I feed her and she goes back down until 7:30. I feed her and she goes back down til 9:30. It's amazing! For the first time in like 4 months I slept 8 hours last night (not uninterrupted, but still very nice).
My first and second babies were so different from one another, I've learned that it is really hard to compare. My first would eat most of his calories at night, and hardly ate during the day. He didn't gain weight quickly so I continued to feed him any time he seemed to be interested. It got worse as he got older and was more social during feedings. At about 6 months he was still taking 3 six ounce bottles of formula at night and didn't seem to have any interest in changing the habit. I finally started reducing the amount I offered during night feedings in hopes he would break the nighttime eating habit. I did this when I introduced solids. It worked fairly well, but still wasn't a great sleeper and continues to be in the low percentiles for weight at age 3.
This one is the complete opposite. At 4 months he sleeps 12 hours at night and wakes once after 8-10 hours for a 5 ounce bottle. He eats every 2 hours during the day and is gaining weight at a steady rate so I know he is getting plenty to eat.
My DD is 13w and EBF, 14lb. She wakes 2-3x per night. Goes down around 730pm and sometimes wakes up around 10-11, but Always around 1am and 4am, then up at 7am.
I think it's so important for moms to take note of us stm who have kids with different sleeping habits. Meaning you are not doing anything wrong! You are not giving your child bad habits or feeding at the wrong time or the wrong amount or whatever. Different kids have different affection needs/sleeping habits/hunger needs. Dont beat yourself up.
DS is EBF, is 16 weeks and weighs 17.5 lbs. he wakes up usually once sometimes sleeping through the night which is about how he has been sleeping since he was about 6 weeks old. About a month ago we had a rough patch where he was up almost all night nursing but that remedied itself by moving him into his own room out of the cosleeper
DD is 17 weeks and 15 lbs. She will randomly want a night feed around 3am usually once a week. Otherwise she sleeps from 9:30ish to 7ish every night without waking.

Mine too! DD is pretty reliable about going down at 8-8:30 and waking around 6am, but eats every 1.5-2 hours during the day. The only exception is when she has a rare long afternoon nap- then she might make it 3 hours without eating. She also begins to cluster feed around 6:30pm, right up until she falls asleep. No sign of regression yet at 18weeks...
I think I started some sleep associations unfortunately. My LO nurses every 1.5-2 hours in the day already, as I have been writing it all down. Now she can't self soothe really at all after her one sleep cycle, unless I rock or nurse her.

If you're comfortable giving a lovey or security blanket, I would give DD one when she was nursing and over time she's come to associate it with comfort and soothes with it now.

Don't beat yourself up. I'm doing nothing different with this baby, but she is so different. You haven't ruined your baby's sleeping habits, you are just meeting her needs. You could do the exact same thing with a different child and they would respond differently. I think blended10 is right that it's nothing you are doing wrong - kids just vary. Hang in there. This is tough stuff.
Omg I wish I could nurse my DD to sleep. She won't stay on long enough due to slow flow/low supply so I have to rock her and she has been kicking and screaming lately during naps. When she gets bigger I don't know how am going to nap her.
@kdoak2015 I knwo right?! Ellie usually nurses and falls asleep but wakes up within 10 mins then I have to rock bounce shush pat and I can't imagine her being bigger than the 16 lbs she already is. My back is killing me!

This is me to a T!! DD is 13 weeks and 15-16lbs. She is EBF and nurses 2-4 times a night. It's annoying as I need sleep. We co-sleep and DD flails as she nurses legs especially. So I've learned to pin them down between my legs so she stays still. Seems to help her feel secure and will slowly go back to sleep after nursing I also give her a lovey to hold and a pacifier. But I try and get more calories in her, but she won't take it. Not sure what to do. I have not tried to dream feed yet
Most of these posts make me feel better! All of my friends have told me how their babies are sleeping though the night already and I'm over here excited when mine will do 4 hours straight.
DD was sleeping 11 hours straight at around 12wks but then the fourth leap and 4mo sleep regression hit. She started waking consistently at around midnight and 3am to eat. I've been really struggling with my sleep being broken like that given that hubby travels for work and I have a pretty high pressure job.
She goes down around 6:30-7pm. Last night I tried a dream feed at 9pm as I was going to bed. That held her over until 2am, then she was up for the day around 6am. Much better! I'm sure she'll change it up on me tonight, but I'll certainly be trying the dream feed again.
