    Doing good.
kinda bummed out today found out I didn't ovulate on 50mg clomid so they are doubling my dose to 100mg
but on a positive note I did get my period for the first time without taking provera in over a year so I'm calling it a win.

Hi.....cd1 here....but on the plus side, I had the day off so I was able to lay around, go for a good walk, then eat and lay around some more.   I've been on this big health and fitness kick, but I let today be my cheat day:)  I have my first RE appointment in 16 days.

Hi Everyone. I am currently in my tww, I am feeling positive but aprehensive. AF is due next week (3 days before my bday). If there is no BFP this month then my GP will be sending off a referral to a local fertility clinic.

Quick question: I've found that since I've been off BCP and actively ttc (nearly a year) that I get irritated and angry much quicker than before. I also find that I snap a lot quicker. I think this is due to background stress. Has anyone elseen found this?

Hi all! TWW here, hoping to test on Thursday - I was thinking that this cycle wouldn't be much different than all the rest, but then I did the math and figured out that DH started his supplements 11 weeks prior to ovulation this month, which is ALMOST 12 weeks (3 months) which is the earliest we could expect the supplements to make a difference with his sperm DFI. FX for this cycle! We just found out tonight that some close friends are expecting, which wasn't really a surprise, but its just so hard not to be jealous every time I hear a new announcement.

It's been really nice getting to know all you ladies, I love how relaxed this group is compared to the TTGP board.
Where do people typically announce BFP's? (if there is a place?) I get so encouraged seeing BFP's from ladies who have been on similar journey's to ours :)

Hi ladies, I'm in my tww after Clomid and a trigger injection. My body just didn't feel like I ovulated though :/ I see the RE on Wednesday to confirm. I definitely notice I have pms now and I never experienced that before going off of BCPs. Also there is a "hall of fame"
that she'll usually post before the check-in so you can go back and look at last week's. It's great because it lists their treatment. Good luck everyone! Feeling grateful for this board today

@ReesaAnne16 I have my fingers crossed for you this cycle!!  GL with the rest of your TWW :)  I agree that this board is more relaxed than TTGP, as is the IF board.  Over here, the BFP announcements typically happen in these weekly check-in threads, and then you get moved to the BFP hall of fame!  Over on the IF board, you can announce in the TWW threads or in your month's IUI or IVF thread :)

@Samanthaarielxo what is your dx if you don't mind me asking? I have hypothalamic amnorhea and haven't gotten AF on my own in over a year.

AFM... First IUI bfn so I need to go in for a cycle 2/3 us once AF comes. This will be the first time I get AF unmedicated since I went off bcp Feb 2015. Has anyone else gone in for an US during AF?

Well it appears as though at least part of our dx will be diminished ovarian reserve. My AMH came back and it's 0.42. That plus FSH of 12.1 and we are officially being referred to an RE. DH isn't optimistic seeing the IVF success rates with such a low AMH, and he seems to be leaning towards donor eggs, which I am not ready to accept. We'll see what our RE says, when we can get in to see one. Feeling pretty depressed. I always thought we'd have a big family, but now it seems like we'll be lucky just to have one, and it might not even be able to be mine biologically.  :'(

@AL_TwinCities I am so sorry :(  You are right to not accept donor eggs as a reality yet.  IVF can absolutely be successful with DOR so please don't lose hope!!  There are so many women over on the IF board who have DOR and they get their BFPs just like the rest of the dx's.  That can be you too!  *hugs*

@ale9687 For both my IUI cycles I had to go in on CD 2 or 3 for a baseline u/s, and yes I was on AF.  It isn't too fun having a vaginal ultrasound when you're bleeding but they are use to it at fertility clinics!  Bring an extra pad or tampon!

@AL_TwinCities don't loose hope yet, I've seen others have the same dx and have BFPs.

@wifeinraleigh28 I know I'm not the only one who has to do it but still don't like the idea of it. What were you taking with your IUIs, clomid or injectibles? I did clomid round one and want to move to injectibles but not sure if they'll be able to get them to me for cycle day 5 when my us is on cd3.
  • Options
@ale9687 I did injectables (follistim) for both my IUIs.  If you order them on CD3 you can have them delivered to you as early as CD4.  The pharmacies are pretty quick with those deliveries!

Just finished up Clomid earlier this week and I start doing OPKs tomorrow night.  If we don't get a positive before then April 5th will be our next ultrasound and IUI.  Hoping for several mature follicles this time!

@ACAC25 I find that I have a very short fuse these days and I cry super easily which is really frustrating.

@ale9687 I've done a couple US while on AF and it was fine.   Like a PP said be sure to bring an extra pad or tampon with you.   Good luck!

@ale9687 they said I don't ovulate I was diagnosed with Amnorhea about 4 years ago but my gynecologist was kind of a putz about telling me stuff like that. So my new doctor just told me about it. She thinks it's just a horomone imbalance causing it.

Unfortunately we tried our first cycle of Clomid and my follicles stayed at 11mm from CD9 to CD16 with absolutely no growth. We abandoned this cycle as there were no mature follicles, and it does not look like Clomid is going to work for me....is it too much to want to just ovulate? I know that there are still options, and that this was only the first treatment plan, but it is hard not to let those irrational fears get into your mind. Still trying to stay positive though!

Because I don't get AF on my own, we are waiting until CD30 (April 11th) and if AF has not arrived, we are contacting our doctor to start Provera to induce a period and begin our next cycle. Our treatment plan for our next cycle is Gonal-F injections + IUI and I am feeling optimistic about it.

PS: I don't know what I would do without this group, and these forums, so I just want to say thank you to you all. No matter what stage you're at, or what is going on with you, thank you all for being people who can understand in one way or another <3

@AL_TwinCities  I'm sorry to hear about your difficult time right now. Sending positive thoughts and hugs your way.

@Worldtravler0522 I'm glad that it's not just me. And I too also cry very easily these days especially about baby or pregnancy related things.  My SIL just accidentally found out DH and I are trying (but does not know the difficulties we are having) and congratulated me on trying. I froze and then later cried to my DH for half an hour after she left. :(

I too am very thankful for the people on this board. It is wonderful to have a sounding board and a place where you can get support and ask questions without feeling crazy.  Thank you ladies. :)

@ACAC25 F***ing Clomid is a common phrase in our house right now because of the spontaneous crying.   Hopefully your SIL won't be too far into your business.
