UPDATE I May Be Out - Fingers Crossed

My appointment today did not go as planned. My OB thought I was measuring small so she sent me for a surprise ultrasound to confirm dating. The ultrasound showed a sac but no embryo. They couldn't confirm if my dates are just off and the baby is actually younger, or if it just stopped growing. I'll need another ultrasound in a couple weeks to know for sure. I really don't think my dates are off, but for now I guess I'll stay positive until it's confirmed otherwise.

*edit* I have my answer today. I'm out. If nothing else I am grateful that I did not have to wait two weeks to find out. I already had a feeling yesterday. Wishing you ladies happy and healthy pregnancies.

I'm sorry :-( I also saw a sac but no fetal pole or anything in my first ultrasound. My next one is on Wednesday, and the wait is torture. I hope everything works out for you!

Sorry you're going through this, the waiting is the worst. Fx for good news at your next scan! My first ultrasound also didn't have a fetal pole or anything in it- it was just too early. I hope that's the situation for you!

Not a fun situation to be in, so sorry you are dealing with that! This same exact thing happened to me last year, at my first apt the dr told me I have a bighted ovum and that I would have a miscarriage or I could get a DNC. It was my first pregnancy, I freaked out and didn't even say it nicely. It was my choice to go back for another apt the following week to see if anything have progressed (saw a different dr). So glad I did because sure enough I was indeed Prego! Had a baby girl in September and I'm Prego again!! And with this pregnancy similar situation...went in for my first apt and I thought I a further along then I was. It happens!! Good luck!!

@rebekahrathe that gives me some hope! My cycles are pretty regular, give or take a day, and I've been wracking my brain trying to think if I somehow miscalculated. But I don't think so. I just wish there was some other way I didn't have to wait like this. I'm sure I'll be talking to my OB office tomorrow to come up with a game plan.
