I really don't want to shower today, which is so unusual for me. I'm one of those moms who has taken a shower, if not two, every day since the nurse gave me the OK after my c-section with DD. I ALWAYS shower. And yesterday was my off day for washing my hair so I really do need to wash it today but uuuugh the thought of getting wet, shaving, drying off, getting dressed, maybe drying my hair but maybe not since it's 70 degrees here today....uuuugh, I just don't wanna! Sometimes I wish I was a guy because even when my DH shaves it still takes him a fraction of the time to get showered and dress than it does me. Maybe this is more of a FWP lol.
I just went to the grocery store to grab a few groceries and easy stuff that DH can cook for the kids while I'm at work... I left the store with a box of my favorite cereal, (which I promptly ate some of when I got home) 2 boxes of my favorite Hot pockets, and a Hot Deli sandwich with Pepperoni, Swiss and Ham on it (which I ate right after the cereal) I'm still tempted to eat another bowl of cereal before I have to leave for work....I guess the kids will eat chicken patties again... that's what they always pick anyways...
@SkiChic626 I'm the same way with regards to showering. Even during the crazy newborn phase I made sure to take a shower (although that was the only thing I would accomplish), but I am constantly envious of guys when it comes to the whole process. DH could go from in bed to showered and dressed for work in under 10 minutes, while, no matter how quickly I move, there's no way I'm done in under 40min. This does make me thankful for having all boys though... no one to compete with for shower time
Confession: I'm researching ways to order one of my (copyrighted) wedding photos without going through the photographers. That's right, a copyright violation. I'm wondering if a place like Walgreens or Target would notice or care if I tried to order a print by a professional photog. But ONLY because the damn photographer won't sell it to me! I want an 11x14 to put in a frame that I already have, but he says above 8x10 they'll only do canvasses (and those cost like over $300). His reason? "Well, we specialize in canvasses, and they last so much longer than paper prints." I'm so pissed. I respect what photographers do, and I'm willing to pay for their work, but why won't they just sell me the print? It's not like they physically can't make a print, and I fully accept that it will be overpriced. I have the files but they are only licensed for printing up to 8x10. And another confession/UO, I think those big canvasses are a bit tacky and I don't want one.

I know that Walgreens will notice. The professional photographers save their images in a super high resolution so that's what flags the photo printing place that it's professional. It happened to me one time where they wouldn't print it without a waiver from our photographer. Fortunately, my BIL was our photographer so he just emailed me his standard statement and I was good to go.
However, Walgreens wouldn't know WHO your photographer is, just that it is professional. So as long as you have some kind of waiver from some kind of pro photographer, you should be good to go. In other words, I could use that same waiver for a different studio's work and probably still get cleared. Got any friends who are photographers?
I'm trying to think of a good reason to leave early today because I have nothing to work on. Do you think, "because I'm pregnant and I wanna" is a good enough excuse? Cherry on top of this dilemma - it's raining outside, which means a nap on the couch at home sounds especially spectacular right now before DH gets home and wants to start working on our home improvement projects.

Ugh that's soooo irritating! Do you have the digital rights to the photo or no? Have you tried shutterfly? I tend to just upload any that I get and order from there. I haven't had any issues as long as I had the file.
I only work with photographers that give you the rights to the photos. I understand they need to make money, but you pay them so much already!
@tmk0325 I did buy the printing rights, but only up to size 8x12. I really didn't think I'd need or want bigger, but then I got this really cool frame that's 11x14. Now I'm thinking I might just save it for a baby picture or something. I don't want to get in trouble over this. It is frustrating when I think back to how much we paid this company already!

Honestly if you have the digital copies, no printing place is going to know that you are only authorized to print up to 8x10. Now the image quality over that may not be the best, but its doable. If you have the digital file, upload it and try to order it online. It really shouldn't be a problem.
@snaps816 I agree with @ThisisNumber3 , try uploading it to shutterfly and see if the quality looks alright at 11x14. I would think it probably would and it would only cost you a couple dollars!
Or put it on a flash drive and take it to cvs. They're more likely to notice if they have to process, but if you do it at the machine somewhere that does 1 hr photo, a lot of times it just a cashier that doesn't pay attention.
I have never given my daughter juice. My dad did once, and she didn't like it. Its just one less thing for me to buy, also she ends up eating more sugar than I care to admit so it balances things out in my mine.
@Snaps816 I was also going to suggest a mat. If you bring the frame and the 8x12 photo to a framing place they can make the right size mat for you. We did this for a few of our photos that didn't fit into the frames we had.

Thanks! This frame already has a mat built-in. But maybe I could do one in a contrasting color that would look nice. I think I'm going to try ordering a print online and see if it works.
This may get me my first flaming buuuuuut I seriously side eye anyone who turns their kid around ff in a car seat before 2 and even soon after. Yes I know that there are some reasons for it, but still...

We don't do juice either. DS likes it and I'm not seriously against it, but he can take it or leave it so why give him extra sugar? I figure I'll save it for potty training bc it makes him pee like crazy.

While I do agree it's safer to rf for as long as possible, what i am REALLY side eyeing are all the people I know that rf before 2 here in NJ. They passed a law that went into effect last sept that kids need to rf until at least 2. Soooo many people I know have turned their kids under 2 since September. It's not just about safety, it's a law!

Here in OK too. I tagged all of my mom friends when the law was about to pass in November just so everyone was aware, but they still post pics of them ff.
I'm getting really frustrated with DH. I keep throwing out names and all he does is say no, but won't throw any ideas out there.
This was us with DS1. It got to the point where I was walking the halls in labor and he still hadn't agreed to any of my ideas or even thrown out any viable ideas of his own so he just told me to pick and I picked my favorite.
My FFFC? So far things are going the same (and we're having another boy) and I'm secretly hoping the same thing happens again since he doesn't like my favorite name.
We have a new upstairs neighbor and they are already making me crazy - she is a heavy walker. It is thump thump thump all over the ceiling. Our previous neighbor we would hear maybe once a month. She needs to get those HOA mandated area rugs down ASAP!

Totally. My neice just turned one last week and they had her in a FF seat in early March. My SIL, who I've never met and only talked to on the phone, is one of those people that it doesn't matter what you say, "you're wrong... No one is going to tell me how to raise my child". She kept saying, unless someone is going to buy me a convertible seat or another option that RF, I'm going to have her FF. She says these rules are just the government and big companies trying to pass laws and bully people in order to make money.
Gwen Stefani is an attention whore. I didn't care much with the whole Blake Shelton thing on The Voice but she crossed the line with her April Fool's prank.
It was absolutely ignorant and insensitive. She posted an ultrasound pic and announced she's having a baby girl. WTF. Now this bothers me a lot. Though I have not personally experienced a loss or difficulty, my awareness of fertility issues has gone up significantly during this pregnancy, especially when I learned recently that my close friend has been trying for years. This isn't funny nor will it EVER be. What a classless bitch. She should know better as a mom.
@Snaps816 do you have a CD of your photos? I do and I can print them as much as I want.....any time I use a professional photographer I always make sure I have the rights to the photos, I think that's pretty standard in wedding packages, too.
@AliKay20 You should send her a video of a toddler being internally decapitated due to FF too early. Maybe then she'd "get it."
Everyone keeps telling me to FF DD but she's only 21 mos and the law here is not until 2. Also, she is tall so her legs are starting to get squished and the leg straps aren't fitting as well anymore, she's actually starting to not like the car seat and it's a battle to get in. I may need to buy a new seat that is better for extended RF because I want to get her as close to 4 as possible before I FF her. Her height and weight might dictate otherwise because she's tall like me and already 30 lbs, but we'll see.
@SkiChic626 I know it's terrible. I tried to casually talk about how we got our new convertible car seat installed at this police/fire event and what they said about the dangers of FF too early. I told her I would be RF DD until she can't RF anymore and since she's petite, that will be awhile. That's when she started in about the government and how they push out all this propaganda ("I lived through my childhood and we didn't even wear seatbelts"). She also said she discussed it with her pediatrician, who obviously said to RF until at least 2. My SIL basically told him they received a FF car seat for Christmas and can't afford to buy one that will allow them to RF in their car and that there isn't enough room in their car to RF anyway because then they will be squished in the front. It's very frustrating because she wants to play a victim a lot and blame others.

Yea my 20 month old is also tall and 30 lbs already and we are getting comments about turning him. We will for sure go until 2 and see how it goes from there. What larger RF seat are you looking at?
@ThisisNumber3 - I have heard great things about Clek and Diono. My dd is a peanut so our Britax max of 40lbs will more than likely be enough to get us to 4 yrs or at least very close.
justaudrey HAHA funny you say that about being squished in the front, because we had that problem in DH's car and we actually bought a new car so that we could RF without compromising the front seats. Steep price to pay, but DD's safety is way more important than any money we'll ever spend. Plus, we made sure that a RF seat behind the driver worked too so that once we had more kids, hello August, we won't have the same problem. So really it was an 8 year investment, if not longer if we have more kids. Also, couldn't they return the car seat they got and get a different one that works better with the money they get from the refund?? Just seems like lazy excuses to me.
IMO car seat safety isn't a parenting decision, it's just what you do.
@SkiChic626 Totally agree! I think they have lots of options but she has this big beef with how the world is run and being told to follow "rules". I know they are struggling to get by and my dad mentioned some organizations to them that may assist them in receiving a free RF seat but more excuses and lack of follow through on their end. We can't (and shouldn't) do it for them. She has 2 older kids from a previous marriage so she considers herself an expert on all things parenting. It's tough to remind her lots of things change in 18 years!
