Infertility

Anyone else late from fertility meds?

Details from medicated cycle in my siggy. So I'm on CD 33. My cycles range from 28-30 days. I have had very mild and sporadic cramping, but not the usual AF cramps. I also have lots of creamy CM (not in my underwear, but when I "go looking" so to speak, sorry if that's TMI!) and I have sore breasts only when I touch them. I bought a Clear Blue, but I'm waiting until the weekend to test because I don't want to get my hopes up and truthfully I'm not "that" late yet. I had heard from other people that fertility meds can affect your cycle, even if you're not pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking the trigger shot and/or Femara might have affected my cycle in some way. I guess I'll find out this weekend when I test, but I was just curious as to other's experiences. TIA!

Re: Anyone else late from fertility meds?

  • My first cycle on Femara I was late-- but only by 2 days. With trigger + femara, AF came early. No way for you to know until a test. (And even then- I got a false positive this weekend. Yea.) Hoping its good news xoxo.

  • The meds almost always change up your cycle length. I am not on same protocol as u but my cycles have always natually been 26ish days and once I started treatments + meds Clomid/Trigger have caused my cycles to around 30+ days.

That's what I figured. =/ I wish my doctor would have mentioned that but oh well. I guess I just wanted validation that not getting my hopes up so soon, especially after the very first medicated cycle, was "normal" lol. I have "skipped" a period once when I first started taking Metformin, but then AF came right on time CD 60. Maybe that's what will happen this time too. I am trying to hold out until Saturday morning to test but it's difficult! I want to do it then to give more time for AF to show and because DH will be off that day so we can see the result together.
