  • Dumb question...do you change your ticker on the day you reach a new week?
  • Week: 9

What's new with baby (size, development): he/she is the size of am olive and is now a fetus rather than am embryo

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: still nothing...

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: like 90% of my symptoms disappeared this week. At least the frequency did... Still some m/s, gas, etc., but it's occasional rather than constant. I did have a serious aversion to bacon yesterday,  which is new and unexpected

When is your next appointment: still a couple weeks away.  Second Friday in April,  (is that the 14th?)

GTKY: (Stolen from Saturday) Would you rather hand wash/dry/put away 3 loads of dishes or wash/dry/fold/put away 3 loads of laundry? Laundry... I can sit down and watch TV the whole time... Cant do that standing at the sink

    It is!

    Week: 8

What's new with baby (size, development): baby is getting their tastebuds, tail is gone, size of a raspberry, .63 inches or so

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: this is our 2nd one, so not much. I made an Amazon list already and plan on going through DS's clothes/toys today to eliminate clutter.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Nervous to even mention this, but my all day nausea has eased as of yesterday. Been up a couple hours and so far so good, I'm cautiously optimistic. Peeing a lot, the blump isn't going away in the morning now.

When is your next appointment: 4/15 I meet with my new OB. She's supposed to be amazing. I'm hoping I like her. It's an OB/Midwife practice so I'm curious how that works. They all deliver at the hospital which has a level 3 NICU so I'm happy about that.

GTKY: (Stolen from Saturday) Would you rather hand wash/dry/put away 3 loads of dishes or wash/dry/fold/put away 3 loads of laundry? Ew. Laundry for sure.
  • @HeyBooHey it is a dumb question or that's what you do?

Never a dumb question! It is what you do! Sorry if it came off as a jerk response!
  • Week: Nine

What's new with baby (size, development): Size of a green olive

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Organizing! I've been bitten by the spring cleaning bug, I guess, but I've been going crazy buying storage bins and organizing all our stuff. I guess that doesn't necessarily have to do with baby, but I just keep thinking about how we're going to have to get everything out of our guest bedroom and how we need to start maximizing what little storage space we have.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I am SO constipated and bloated. I already look obviously pregnant. I know it's just a blump, but still.

When is your next appointment: Tomorrow! Our first ultrasound to see this LO! I am so excited and anxious!

GTKY: (Stolen from Saturday) Would you rather hand wash/dry/put away 3 loads of dishes or wash/dry/fold/put away 3 loads of laundry? I always prefer laundry over dishes and, like someone else pointed out, it sounds like we get to use the washer/dryer in that option. So yeah, laundry for sure.
  • Week: 7 weeks!!!

What's new with baby (size, development): size of a tic tac! More brain formation and starting to get little nubs for arms and legs! Getting closer to a human baby, but definitely still an alien!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: *sigh* buying clothes/maternity clothes because nothing fits anymore  Also looking at sale racks for cheap baby clothes but it is really heard to find truly gender neutral stuff!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My boobs hurt all the time!! It hurts to hug someone, it hurts to lay on my side in bed.... everything hurts. Luckily not much for nausea yet which I am excited and nervous about. I don't know if I should be happy or worried!

When is your next appointment: 4/7! Our very first ultrasound! I am unbelievably excited! I just want some more confirmation that things are actually happenin in there!

GTKY: Seeing as doing the dishes makes me nauseous these days I would choose laundry! Even before being pregnant I would have still chosen laundry!
  • Week: 7!

What's new with baby (size, development):
Size of a blueberry this week.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nada. I started an Amazon list last week, but I haven't done anything with it.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Feeling more "pregnant" this week. Slight boob pain and feeling a lot more exhausted. Little bit of dizziness when I don't eat.

    When is your next appointment:
Thursday!! Get to see my awesome OB this week. I'm excited.

GTKY: (Stolen from Saturday) Would you rather hand wash/dry/put away 3 loads of dishes or wash/dry/fold/put away 3 loads of laundry?
Definitely laundry. I hate doing dishes by hand.

  • @AmandaR417 - six receiving blankets already?!  I was laughing to myself this morning while I tried to estimate the number of blankets MIL will wind up knitting and giving us.  I figured five max, but maybe I need to up that...
