GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style?
How many weeks/how big is baby: 12! Size of plum or kiwi
Current symptoms: nausea slowing down but still not completely gone. Food aversions like crazy. Metallic taste in mouth. Nothing just tastes good at all (yet somehow I keep eating)
Rants/Raves/Questions: still on the fence about our Florida trip. DH wants to go, but last night at a family gathering I got all kinds of pressure not to (re zika). I'll ask at my apt this week and hoping the doc gives me the green light.
GTKY: I would 100% get a night nurse. I do so poorly on little sleep, and would be so much happier if someone would do those middle of the night feedings. But I would be totally fine with taking baby from like 7am till 10pm. Other than that wouldn't change much except would be nice to have money saved and put away for baby's future like college or wedding etc.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 13weeks/kiwi or jalapeño
Current symptoms? Morning sickness came back yesterday and it's worse today
Rants/Raves/Questions? My anxiety is almost non existent! I'm finally feeling secure in this pregnancy!
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I would put money away for the future for Bean. And I always said that I would have a personal chef if I was wealthy. My family likes my cooking, but I could do much better health-wise. I'd have someone who makes healthy meals for my family and me. I don't want my kids battling with weight and not knowing how to eat/cook healthy like I do.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 12 weeks! Size of a robo hamster!
Current symptoms? still mostly just fatigue
Rants/Raves/Questions? nothing from me today
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? hmm not sure this would really be for pumpkin, but a cleaning lady and a chef. I think not having to exert energy on cleaning or cooking would allow me more time with the baby and maybe, hopefully, time to sleep?
@krzyriver and @missteacherlady16 oooh a personal chef! Yes I NEED that in my life! I'm an awful cook and dinner every night is usually everyone fend for themselves. I'm actually trying to find a person or service near me that would cook like 2-3 meals a week I could buy.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 10 weeks (yay!!) Ferrero Rocher or Prune
Current symptoms? Mild nausea, exhaustion, bloating
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so excited to finally make it to 10 weeks!! Only 4 more weeks until I officially announce this pregnancy. Also, we can find the baby's heartbeat pretty easily now with the doppler. It is so awesome to hear, and also very reassuring for my PGAL brain.
GTKY:
(adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything
in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change
your parenting style? I would be a SAHM. But hopefully not much else would change.
Current symptoms? I'm just getting over this awful virus where I had a fever of over 102. I have a follow up appointment tomorrow with my OB. Everything seems ok but I really hated having that high of a fever.
Other than hang that I have the usual sore boobs and nausea.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm so tired of getting sick!! This is the third time I've gotten sick since the beginning of the pregnancy (but the first time with a fever)
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? Well I would save for my kids future, buy a minivan, and probably hire help for the first few months after this baby's born.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 10w, size of a strawberry.
Current symptoms? Exhaustion and sadness.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm ready to be out of the first tri. With my last pregnancy I was at the beginning of the month... Bringing up the rear is not fun! I did get to see the little one this past week again to confirm due date.
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I would absolutely be a SAHM. I don't think much else would change... Maybe take the kid(s) on trips.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 11 weeks lime Current symptoms? Extremely sore and swollen boobs, food adversions, moodiness, tired all the time Rants/Raves/Questions? Just excited to see baby on Friday again! My Doppler should be here tomorrow so super excited to try it! GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? probably be a SAHM or personal chef sounds good too. We definitely would get a bigger house too. We are getting crowded currently.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 10 weeks - prune, LEGO man, kumquat
Current symptoms? Still nauseous, still exhausted.
Rants/Raves/Questions? So ready for this nausea to be over! Though it is exciting to finally be in double digits
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? Hmm, definitely would start saving for baby's future (be it college, a wedding, buying a house, etc). Would also be a SAHM.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 14w - lemon, troll doll, house mouse, 8oz. filet mignon, an original 1977 Star Wars action figure.
Current symptoms? Hunger every 2 hours, food aversions, slower digestion.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm in the 2nd trimester! Yay for Mr. Bojangles!
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? Pay off all credit cards, student loans, and buy a house if a family oriented neighborhood and pay it off while maintaining a very healthy savings account. I'm not asking for much, am I? I think it would prevent a lot of stress that I'm currently feeling, but don't think it would change my parenting style.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 12 weeks.. Size of a clementine.
Current symptoms? Thankfully I'm starting to feel more like a human... Less nausea and less exhaustion. It still hits me like a ton of bricks every so often but not as often as before. Also I'm absolutely starving every 2 hours.
Rants/Raves/Questions? So excited to be at 12 weeks! We have started sharing the news with some people.
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? Definitely a cleaning person. I'm anal about having a clean and tidy house but nervous how I'm going to juggle cleaning with two kids.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 14 weeks. Lemon, house mouse
Current symptoms? My all day nausea has graduated to vomiting 2-3 times per day. I now have petechiae around my eyes from vomiting so violently. It's awesome. I'm still extremely fatigued, and now have dizzy spells with migraines. I'm loving second trimester... NOT.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I literally hate being pregnant. This is the worst thing I have ever gone through in my life. And I've been run over by a pack of bicycles at 27 mph, so I think I know a thing or two about feeling crappy. I have serious doubts about further children unless we adopt.
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I honestly can't think of anything. Baby doesn't need much at first. I'd probably quit my job and stay home.
@von1976 my MS got much worse right before it disappeared so I'm hoping yours stops soon too!
How many weeks and how big is baby? 14 weeks; lemon, troll doll, mille feuille
Current symptoms? A little tired, rlp or stretching uterus pain, slooow digestion, a little forgetful, crying easily, food cravings & a few aversions
Rants/Raves/Questions? I kinda just look weirdly shaped and frumpy now...in some awkward in-between stage before this blump gets round...
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I would duplicate myself and my husband so we could both continue to pursue our careers and stay at home with our future kids
Weeks/size: 14 weeks. Lemon, house mouse, troll doll
Symptoms: Mostly feeling great & re-energized, but also nosebleeds, heart palpitations, & absolutely awful allergies (red, burning, itching eyes with a rash)
Rave: I posted last week about hating my body at that awkward in-between phase where I couldn't distinguish between fat and baby bump. I'm definitely seeing bump now and it makes me REALLY HAPPY!!
GTKY money Q: Interesting question... I guess I'd pay off all debt (home, credit card, student loans) so we'd have more freedom to nest as a family when we want to, and travel as a family more often too.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 11 weeks, the size of a lime!
Current symptoms? I think my symptoms are starting to wane, so just fatigue at this point.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just ready to get to the second trimester!
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I would definitely quit work and stay at home full time; and also buy a new house. I think if anything, my parenting style would stay the same or get more strict. I wouldn't want my kid to think that just because we had money to do anything we wanted, he/she would get a free pass to be lazy and not work hard. So if my kid knew they had infinite money out there, I'd probably be stricter than normal about trying to teach humility, hard work ethic, and sympathy for others. Also, I'd buy us an Icee machine, so we could have one whenever we want!
Current symptoms? Still really tired, but seem to be getting a bit more energy (maybe). Stretch marks are starting! Ugh.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We had MaterniT21 testing done last Wednesday, and I am so, so nervous. Was told we should get results within 7-10 days and I can't wait. We will find out the gender as well & I can't contain my excitement for that part. We aren't doing any type of formal gender reveal, but everyone at my work is SO excited (I work with a mostly older crowd and the youngest one's "baby" in now 14, so they have baby fever as much as I do)! I'm thinking about doing some kind of cheesy guessing game for work the day after we find out & giving a prize of some sort to the ones that guess right. Any ideas on how to do this? I was thinking maybe the prizes could be $1 scratch-offs, with something like, "Luck is with you today!" or something equally as cheesy. Not sure how to do the actual game/reveal though. Any ideas are welcome!
GTKY:
(adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything
in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change
your parenting style? I have a dream to open my own business, and would love to start that, and be able to hire help to assist with daily chores, as some of you have said. I also need sleep or I don't thrive well, so I like the idea of night time help as well. Also, I would to travel as a family & give my child the opportunity to see all parts of the world.
How many weeks and how big is baby? 11 Weeks and big as a lime.
Current symptoms? Nausea is easing up, but I am definitely more tired and I have starting getting headaches now.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I had a break down Sunday night when I couldn't stand to eat the Mexican food from my favorite restaurant. Also, I am already showing and everyone keeps talking about how big I already am.
GTKY: (adapted from Friday's): If you were wealthy and could afford anything in the world, anything you would buy for baby or do? Would it change your parenting style? I would definitely hire a nanny to help out between the hours of 2am and 10am. I am not a morning person, I HATE MORNINGS. Luckily my husband loves mornings and gets up at like 5 am every morning. So hopefully, between me being a night owl and him being a morning person we will be able to trade off.
