I'm 3 weeks out from my D&C and just finally stopped spotting 2 days ago. Wondering what to expect on about how long it takes before AF returns...

waiting for mine too (tomorrow I'll be 4 weeks post d&c) but I have read anywhere from 4-8 weeks but sometimes up to 12. If mine doesn't come by 6 I plan to call my Dr and see if they think anything of it.

After both of my D&Cs, my period came back at 4 weeks. I hope you don't have to wait to long for things to regulate. And I am sorry for your loss.

We are on the same boat. Mine was 3 weeks ago today. Feels way longer. Like a life time. My doctor said to expect 6-8 weeks

@SnobunnieMel I hate that we are meeting under these circumstances, but it's nice to find someone who is on the same timeline as myself! How long did you bleed for post D&C if you don't mind me asking?

Mine came back about 4 weeks following the procedure. I didn't ovulate between the procedure and first AF. I didn't have a lot of spotting after, maybe a week or so. By my 2 week follow up my hcg went down to 11. But each person is different and it is completely normal for AF to take up to 6 or 8 weeks. My dr. told me to let him know if I had nothing by about 6 weeks and we would talk about possibly jump starting AF. I hope this helps.

I was 4 weeks past d&c yesterday... Still no AF. My doctor said it should come within 3-4 weeks so I figure if it's not here by 6 weeks I'll make an appointment.

I had two d&cs (the second was for retained tissue). I got my period 2.5 weeks after the final d&c. My hcg was not yet zero when I got my period. It stayed technically "pregnant" for 6 weeks.

@Knottie1458305956 I was very fortunate after mine and only had minimal spotting for 2 days with no clots. I actually got worried since it was so light. Now I'm just hanging out waiting to ovulate or for AF. It's like every day takes forever waiting for either my uterus or my ovaries to make up their mind who is going to do something first.

I bled for about a week after my D&C and then my period took 5 weeks to the day of my procedure to come. It was the longest wait of my life, especially after hoping for so many months that it wouldn't come.

I bled lightly for about 2 days after my d&c then had surprise bleeding and passing of tissue two weeks after. I got my first AF just slightly over 5 weeks after the d&c and 3 weeks after my last bleeding session.

I had minimal bleeding after my d&c in October. My period is not a standard 4-week cycle, more like 35-37 days. The first one following the d&c was about 40 days from the date of the d&c. Then the next few cycles have come approximately 35-36 days after. So, seemingly back to normal.

@SnobunnieMel just got my labs back today, HCG 103

I was really hoping it would be less than 50. I'm super bummed. My Dr said to take an HPT in 3 weeks- if still positive call him then. Seems like an eternity. Do you know where your levels stand?

He drew one last Thursday but I never got a call back. Still turning HPTs yesterday so I'm going to call him today and see about repeating labs

After my first D&C, I bled lightly for a few days and AF came at 4 weeks (I also had a positive hpt that morning). I'm now 2 weeks past my second D&C, still bleeding lightly, and waiting for AF. I saw my obgyn today and he wasn't concerned that I'm still bleeding.

Wow! @lilyaster I didn't realize AF could show up if HCG was still positive, I figured it wouldn't show until it was for sure negative!

Tomorrow will be 5 weeks since I took the cytotek medication and 4 since my d and e and nothing.
update, AF just arrived.

I have had 2 D&Cs. Both times I bled for about 2.5 wks after and my cycle retuned about a month after that around the 6wk mark.

Today is 4 weeks to the day that I had my D&C. I have had cramping all day, pretty intense at times. My boobs have been sore since last week, so I'm hoping to get it soon. So far, no bleeding. I've heard the first AF after the D&C is pretty bad, so Im anxious to get it over with.

For those that had their AF after D&C, was it bad? Did you have cramping before bleeding? Prior to getting pregnant, my periods were very regular and I've never experienced this before

Thursday will be 4 weeks for me. Today I woke up to medium spotting, I'm not sure if this is my period or not-- I quit bleeding exactly 1 week ago. My ultrasound last week showed a small amount of "debris" left over from the MC, so is this left over bleeding? Don't really know for sure. I was also regular before the D&C. I've also heard the first period is very painful, but I've had no cramping at all today. I hope the next few days will tell...

This Tuesday will be 6 weeks post d&c and still no period... It's so frustrating waiting for it to come in order to start ttc again. I really thought it would show around 3-4.

After my first D&C my AF was pretty decent cramping, nothing like my natural miscarriage, and was only 3 days... I was only 3 weeks post D&C and was starting to try to check for ovulation, in the morning did a pee stick and it said I was ovulating... I remember calling and asking if it's possible to ovulate and get your period.

My cycle was completely a skew after my first D&C my last period was Jan12 my conception was Est at Feb 6... So just beware! After this most recent loss we decided to wait two AF's just for a break.
