Nerve wracking- spotting but baby looks fine *TW*

I'm on an unwelcomed rollercoaster this weekend. I had one episode of bright red bleeding last night (est 6w5d) which turned to pink spotting overnight and this morning. Very scary.

But we went in for an u/s this morning (my first of the pregnancy) and saw a baby with a heartbeat and measuring 6w4d. I'm so relived! I have a follow up appointment this coming Thursday. 

I know so many ladies have bleeding/spotting in the first tri but all the positive stories in the world don't make it less nerve wracking when it's happening to you. Bleh.

    Sorry about the spotting @muybueno but I'm glad to hear that everything looks good with your little one!

    Gah! I had a bit of bright red spotting last night as well. It stopped immediately but I sure empathize with you. So glad everything looked good this morning! Did they have any ideas on what's causing it?

    I'm glad the US looked good! I had bright red spotting at 5w4d and it turned out it was from a subchorionic hemorrhage. I haven't had any problems since that day. It was terrifying, though.
