  • I have an itchy rash or bites all down the back of my leg and I've convinced myself it's bed bugs, so my son and I hunkered down on the air mattress last night. When DH gets home tomorrow morning he's going to think I'm sorts of crazy.

    Sorry guys, I love gifs.

  • @stepamos you just reminded me of my dream the other night.  In it, I had pulled up the sheets and there were bedbugs crawling EVERYWHERE. Thousands of them  :s

I hope you don't have bedbugs!

I can't imagine where they would have come from if we do. I haven't gone anywhere. The only thing I can maybe think of is my husband sleeps in barracks at the fire station, but he hasn't had any bites or rash. Who knows **shrug**

  • H bought a shirt off of Etsy the other day that says "daddy to be" and plans on wearing it to church next weekend.  He plays in the worship band so everyone will be able to see it.  We decided we'd announce to everyone we haven't told yet at 10 weeks, after my second u/s.  I wanted to wear a shirt too but the only ones I can find say "preggers" or "preggo" and I'm just not all about that, so no thanks.  No shirt for me.  So i'm a little jealous of H.

I've seen shirts that say "the drummer did it with an arrow pointing to your tummy" it may be cute to try to find one with whatever your husband plays. However, they are more intended for actual bump bellies, but it would be a cute pairing with your hubby's shirt!

Does anyone else feel the incessant need to read all the new comments on posts you've been following? You see that yellow highlight with "9 new" and just have to click on it and read it so that yellow goes away? No? Just me?

I do. Sometimes I don't even read the responses. I'll just click it so I can get rid of the highlight.

I saved a mouse the other day. I even went so far as to buy a cage/wheel/food for the dang thing. And no I have not touched it and do not plan on touching it. DH has held and pet it though.
  • FFFC: I'm not that into this board yet. I think it's hard when you had such a strong bond with several women on your old BMB. You tend to compare (which, I know, I shouldn't.) I feel like none of the posts relate to me and I often don't have much to chime in with. I was a regular there and I feel pretty shy over here.
It's still early and I'm hoping I warm up a bit! It does seem slow though. Maybe there just aren't a ton of November moms...

This. It makes me wonder if it's because TB has changed in general or if it's just early still. I have hope! TBH and FFFC: I wonder if the reason it's slow and boring is because we haven't encountered any crazies yet to all bond over...

Exactly! On my last board, there was a 15 year old girl who kept it really entertaining...especially when we all did a gift swap/secret Santa thing and she completely stood up her recepient. She got a gift...but she never sent one out. She was never forgiven for that. I needs some dramas in my life

  • This isn't really a confession, but can I just say that I really don't like April Fool's Day? I mean, most people's April Fool's jokes are really just lying to people. I'd love a good prank a la Jim from The Office, but that's not what you get on April Fool's. Or maybe my friends just aren't that creative.

The first time DH and I exchanged "I love you" was on April fools day...while watching The walking dead, with 3 dogs in our bed. It's still our running joke. (Yes we lived together before either of us emotionless bastards ever proclaimed our love)
  • I told my mom about my pregnancy today and played it off like an april fools joke because she makes pregnancy more stressful so I don't  want her to know until necessary but I wanted to have an out for the guilt trip she'll give me that I didn't tell her sooner.

  • My best friend sent me this today. I don't really get it. She knows I am trying but doesn't know I am pregnant yet. I am not sure why she thought it was so funny and felt the need to
    share with me...

  • @HeyBooHey ugh! That is terrible.

  • @HeyBooHey why are you friends with this person? She's terrible.

@MrsBigTime The drummer did it would be a perfect shirt for me! DH has been playing drums the majority of his life and played in a band in high school and in college. There's currently a drum set up in our future nursery right now! I am definitely going to keep that shirt in mind once I have an actual bump. :)

FFFC:  We've had laundry sorted into color piles in our room for an entire week now. Has any pile gotten done yet? No. #WeekendGoals

  • @HeyBooHey your friend (and I use the term loosely) is an asshole. Some of my friends are assholes and I get it. But fertility is such an emotional and personal topic idk why anyone would joke about it. Especially if you know your friend is trying.
  • I just read that Gwen Stefani just pulled that bullshit yesterday too, the April Fools pregnancy thing. Talk about out of touch.

I truly don't understand how it's a joke. There's nothing witty or clever, dry, punny, etc about it. It's a poorly disguised attempt at getting attention.
  • Yeah, I am still very confused about the whole thing. She has several people in her life who have dealt with fertility issues and losses. She is a very supportive and loving person. I am just so confused.
