My mom and I are going to NYC in a week for a quick 4 day trip. Just a nice getaway because I miss my mom and she is one of my favorite people and our lives are so busy we hardly get to see each other. So, suggestions on things to do, and think cheap. Fun cheaper places to eat, parks to see, coffee shops. We are not high maintenance, but want some unique things to do. I haven't been to NYC since high school, so I don't know much. Just know that we both LOVE the city!

It's been a slow burn over the past year since they've been introduced on the main roster, but these girls are hella talented in so many different ways and I can't wait to watch them kill it. GAHHHH.

My horrible boss is finally leaving. She's moving back home! We all disliked her. She basically sat around doing nothing, was the "lead nurse" and had no idea how to help us with anything. She did her homework during work. If we needed help or breaks, she would act busy and never help anyone. When we were running our butts off, she sat at the desk reading a book! Now she's leaving and I am jumping for joy!

That awkward moment when you're out for your nephew's 6th birthday (we went to a pizza place) and your SIL's dad hints that you and DH need to "get busy" so that your nephew isn't the only grandbaby. It was creepy and I wanted to yell that it's not that easy. Ugh...I'm with @jenmlangtake2. I hate everyone.

I spent hours last night turning one of our bedrooms into a yoga room and now I just completed day 2 of Yoga with Adriene's 30 day challenge, thanks to the suggestion from @TheJerilu - thanks for the recommendation, I like her! Now here's to seeing if I can stick to it for 30 days. I'm also wondering how long it will take H to realize what I did to that room while he was away, lol.
@Sparty18 what did you do to turn it into a yoga room? I have an extra bedroom and have been thinking about making it my escape room when I need to refocus. Yoga sounds perfect!

@linzrunz Well the first step was clearing out all the boxes of stuff and old clothes we had thrown in there when we moved in, lol, so hopefully you don't have to do that part. Then I just put down a big rug we had in storage and brought in a TV and hooked up our apple TV to it to be able to play the youtube videos on it. So, basically there is nothing in the room but a rug, yoga mat and the TV haha. The more time consuming part was cleaning it out but I wanted it to be clear of clutter. Thinking of adding some things to it but I like how clean it is, feels nice and relaxing for yoga! The closet in the room is mirrored so that is helpful for fixing my terrible looking yoga poses lol.

@sparty18 haha I love it! We have a guest bedroom, but rarely have guests that use it. I'm thinking about making it my escape room and adding yoga stuff would be awesome. The doors of the closet are mirrors so that'd be perfect for checking how horrible my form is. The room is fairly clean... Except for the closet.

Happy weekend everyone! Anybody have any exciting plans? I know a few of us WTO ladies have baby showers tomorrow (what is it about baby showers in April? I have another one at the end of the month!).
I had a crazy busy day today (work, then an hour drive to a friends where we finished shopping for a baby shower tomorrow, wrapped our ten million presents, and then helped make the favors for the shower before finally getting done at midnight!) but I just wanted to give a shoutout to my amazing DH. I'm staying at a friends tonight and I thought I forgot my BBT and I was upset (even though it's so early in my cycle) because I didn't want to miss a temp. Turns out DH saw it on the bedside table and put it in my bag before I left! DH is the real MVP today!

Charlotte - Ric Flair's daughter, current champion. Super athletic, fantastic at being a cocky underhanded player (just like dear old dad).
Bayley - super nice, known for giving hugs. Currently loved by basically everybody (but not part of Wrestlemania because she's still in the development company)
Sasha Banks, aka The Boss - One of the best talkers in the company and a vicious but technically gifted competitor.
Becky Lynch - The Lass Kicker, a submission specialist and current underdog in the match. Has a vaguely steampunk theme. Used to have a thing with puns, but I think they've dropped that. Also used to do softcore erotic wrestling before joining WWE if you're so inclined to search that.
I want to go dancing and DH is a homebody but I really need to be somewhere getting my groove on until I'm tired and sweaty and sure to be sore the next day.
In reference to the squatty potty talk. I've never heard of it before this but I would totally suggest getting one!!! I have regular toilets in my house but in this part of the world, a squat toilet is 100% normal and can be found in quite a few public bathrooms. They are perfect if you're ever constipated. My work used to have one squat toilet and a regular one. I was super intimidated by them at first but sometimes you have no option and once I finally tried one, I've actually thought about installing one in my house. if you're on the fence, I recommend!

I've been worried.
I'm enjoying some tea then will throw together an overnight bag and then go down to new haven to catch a train to nyc to hang with my bestie! I haven't seen her since her wedding in oct (she lives in philly) and can't wait to catch up. Downside: it's raining and also I can't take my bbt because I haven't told her we are trying. We are the only kid free ones left and I've done a 360 in the last six months. It's just one night and I'm 7 DPO so not huge.
@mrsstuessyNew York is so big and there is so much to do - are you guys spending the night or just going up for the day? What are you guys into? We might wait in line for same day theatre tickets maybe the rain will make the lines shorter.

@leksiL could you tell her that you are just keeping track of your cycle so you know when AF is expected (IF she even notices or asks)? I don't have experience with this, but some women seem to temp for information's sake, especially if they have super irregular cycles. You said it's not a big deal, so that's good, but I thought I'd put this out there in case you really wanted to take it and just didn't want to talk about TTC with her yet. I really should do laundry but it's in the basement level and our bedrooms are on the upper level (townhouse). Such a PITA lugging it 3 levels. Can't wait to move and have laundry on the main level.

@mrsstuessy I recommend John's Pizzeria on 260 W 44th (Times Square). It is an old church turned pizzeria with the best pizza ever. Even my friend who lives in Manhattan (grew up in Queens) is obsessed with this pizza. I also recommend Smorgasburg in Brooklyn on Saturdays. This should be on everyone's bucketlist- gorgeous Manhattan skyline in the background of a farmer's market-type thing but instead of farmer's, the booths are all these amazing NY restaurants and chefs so you can try things from all of them! Oh and no admission fee.

Remember - you're not trying to match her pose, your trying to match her intention. If she does a downward dog (hands and feet on the ground, booty in the air), don't fret if you're on your tippy toes and your knees are bent and you have to take a break because your abs are on fire. Even just trying towards the position is better than not doing anything at all. It's called yoga practice for a reason

@PepperAT My husband does the same thing every morning at 5am. Now I just grumble a 'love you' and give half-hearted pat on the back. I just can't do mornings.

@PepperAT My husband does the same thing every morning at 5am. Now I just grumble a 'love you' and give half-hearted pat on the back. I just can't do mornings.
