I let my students out of class 30 minutes early both days this week and didn't even realize it. Going to have a PhD, can't tell time. Thanks pregnancy brain!
Anyone else have embarassing or funny forgetful moments?
I posted last week that I bought maternity pants for the first time. I bought a pair of khakis, black pants, black jeans and regular jeans. I go to pack for a trip, super excited about my new comfy jeans to wear on the plane. They were not in my shopping bag. They weren't on the receipt. I hadn't even bought them! I guess I left the jeans in the fitting room. I cried.
I put a paper plate in the fridge. Nothing on it, just a plate... At work. My boss asked me if there was a reason for chilling a clean paper plate
... I got nothing.
I keep forgetting words in the middle of sentences. I was talking to a member of the senior management team and in the middle of my sentence, I either spaced out or trailed off. I'm sure that makes me look really competent
I have pregnancy brain so bad too! I keep getting food out of the fridge to eat then leave it on the counter and forget to eat it. So of course it spoils and DH finds it later. Plus I keep forgetting people's names and have to stare at them awhile before remembering their name and I interject words into conversations that don't make sense.
Bought a new bra for the wedding I was in today. 15 minutes before I was supposed to leave to meet up with the bridal party, I realize I have no idea where the bra is. Had to go to the store to buy a new one, and ended up with one that was really too tight because I couldn't find the right size. Went to Macy's because I had a gift card--forgot I took it out of my wallet and put it in a different purse. $$$ down the drain!

A few weeks ago my DD (just turned 2) got up from her nap. Put her on changing table to remove wet diaper and change then we headed to the gym. I get her out of her car seat & feel her soaking wet.... Totally forgot to put a new diaper on her!!!!!

Every time I try to say anything I jumble my words up and end up not making sense. I have to talk slowly in order to say what I'm trying to say. It's getting on my nerves.
@mooncusp22 hahaha that just made me laugh out loud! I'm always afraid I'm going to do that with DS.
This was during my last pregnancy but I showed up to my parent's house with two very different shoes on. I had made the 45m drive without even realizing it, it wasn't until my mom pointed it out that I noticed. Thankfully we're the same shoe size because I was picking her up for a family party!
Was cooking dinner a few days ago and completely forgot my hubby put the chicken he had grilled in the oven so the cats wouldn't get it while we went on a walk. It was on a cutting board... and I preheated the oven. I was ready to prepare everything to stick in the oven when I realized where the chicken was. Needless to say we need a new cutting board... but the oven is just fine!
Re: Thanks, pregnancy brain.
I cried.
