Rants/Raves/Questions? Big scan today! NT! I'm gonna have pics today and I SHALL survive the day. Today is not the same day as last time. Sure, same room, same specialist geneticist, same tech probably but today is a new day and I shall not panic.
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : I'd love to be able to afford a nanny! Definitely out of the budget. But maybe we'll be able to squeak by at a Montessori. I love 70% of their style.

So exhausted. Migraines. Morning sickness. Weird food cravings. Lots of bloat.

Current symptoms? Mainly fatigue. I feel perfectly fine all day but once I get home from work, I crash.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We got to hear the heartbeat yesterday! Baby was working hard! And I cried.

Current symptoms? My fatigue is starting to go away, yay! Also, hello belly!! Especially after I eat. So much belly. Can only eat large meals while wearing yoga pants. I also have this weird feeling of fullness in my lower abdomen. I guess baby is getting authoritative and pushing my intestines out of the way
Rants/Raves/Questions? This is dumb, but in Germany it is VERY unacceptable to wear yoga/sports/sweatpants in public. But clothes are sooo expensive and I can't afford a maternity wardrobe. I just want to wear my yoga pants all the time and not have people stare!!!
GTKY- What's one thing that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? A house with a yard! All kids need a yard.

Current symptoms? Tired. So very very tired.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Happy to be in double digits finally. I still feel so far behind you all entering the second tri!!! Looking forward to my OB appointment on the 6th and my NT scan the 14th. Hoping after that I'll be able to relax more and we can think about telling people beyond our immediate families.
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : If I'm being petty, probably a nursery full of pretty Pottery Barn furniture. That and a full-time nanny (or at least one for the 2-3 days a week the in-laws won't have the kid.) Honestly the thing I want most isn't out the budget monetery-wise, but time-wise: I would LOVE to go to a 4 days a week/10 hours a day schedule at work so that I could stay home with the kid on Fridays, and my work would likely allow me to do it, but DH travels a lot for work and I don't know how we'd swing the 12 hours of childcare a day we'd need when he is out of town. His traveling for work is a relatively new thing and I still haven't quite adjusted to it, and realizing that it would likely impede my 4 day a week plan has made it an additional bummer for me. :-(

Current symptoms? Fatigue, nausea, food cravings and aversions
Rants/Raves/Questions? I seriously just want to fast forward through the next 2 weeks. I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and I'm ready to start telling my coworkers. I'm terrible at keeping secrets and I feel like they probably know anyway. Also, my next ultrasound is in 2 weeks and I'm already getting anxious.
GTKY- What's one thing that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? Hmm, I don't really know. This will be our second child, so we're feeling kind of laid back about baby gear this time around.
@mrskratt - I'm all about the sushi too.

Current symptoms?
My energy is back. So happy! No longer nauseous except before bed, which is odd. I'm thinking it might be the prenatal vitamins that is causing the nausea. Sore boobies still and a growing belly. I was gonna say all the nasty symptoms are starting to fade away.... but how can I forget about the AWFUL acne that plagues me? If it's not the right cheek, it's the left. SO OVER IT! Give me glowing skin please.

12 week scan on Monday, then 2 hospital tours scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Then off to wine country on Friday for a weekend getaway with SO.

A nanny would be excellent...I hate the thought of looking for daycare...
A Laduree Macaron is.. well, it's a pastry/cookie and I feel terrible informing you of this but your baby is delicious!
Current symptoms? So tired still. Doesn't help that my DD has been sick and not sleeping great this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Had more spotting this week, but was relieved to get to see my baby again and all was healthy. We also found out we are having a girl, so we've started talking names! We had such a hard time with girl names last time, and now we have to make sure it matches DD's name too.
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? A really nice double stroller! I've just started looking and was shocked by the prices. Keeping my eye out for a used one...
Current symptoms? Feeling distinctly better lately. More energized and even though my nausea was only mild, that seems to be gone too. No more constipation either, although the bloating after meals is still out of control! Other wise, feeling great!
Rants/Raves/Questions? This past week was an awesome week of pregnancy milestones! I had my 12 week appointment on Tuesday and they were able to find the heartbeat with the doppler right away! I also had a lot of labwork done and everything came back normal. I just can't wait for the Verifi results to come back next week! After hearing the heartbeat on Tuesday, we told most of out extended family, friends, and coworkers. It feels so good to be out in the open and onto the 2nd trimester!
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : I definitely agree with the nanny. Or to be able to afford for me to stay home for awhile, or only work a couple days a week. Sadly, we'll have to stick with daycare. I'm hoping to work one less day a week, but some of the daycares you have to pay for a full week, and I don't think we can afford to pay for a full week if I'm working less. And we're still waitlisted at all the daycares we like, so we'll see what happens.

GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : I must be the only person in the world that prefers daycare to the idea of a nanny. It probably helps that I love our day care center and the structure and opportunities it provides for DD. I trust a well regulated and run center with clear rules and laws over an individual that I can't necessarily say the same for.
I can't really think of anything else I'd like for baby, so maybe a swanky SUV to haul my kids around in

Food aversions. All I know that I want everyday this week is a pb&j sandwich. Everything else seems to have to be a spur of the moment thing.

I finally found maternity clothes! I went to motherhood this morning and they had their buy 4 get the 5th free. Everything fit perfectly!
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget?
Same as PP, second baby so we are pretty laid back. But as a family thing, I would have to say a bigger SUV. I've had my Escape for 8 years now. It totally runs fine, I would just love the extra space for traveling purposes.

this post. I see pros and cons to both, but I do like the social interaction, the activities they do with the kids, and it is reassuring to me that there are multiple adults around. Plus, if my DD's teacher is sick, I don't have to worry about being the one to find backup care. Sometimes I wish she had the one-on-one attention from a nanny, but overall I've been happy with our daycare experience.

Current symptoms? Fatigue. It's really been my main system, and I can't wait for it to lighten up. I come home from work every day and crash on the couch.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I had an amazing week! We got our MaterniT21 results and no abnormalities, and we're having a girl! My husband and I are absolutely thrilled. Then I had an ultrasound and she is perfect, so we went public. It's really nice to be open about it.
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : An SUV. I have a Mini Cooper, which is going to be interesting in a couple of months.

GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? : I would like to add an additional bedroom to our house.
We've got a dancer! 40 minutes it took to get a decent shot of the back of the neck, nose, and other markers because someone apparently has mommy's energy... oops! It was hilarious to see little legs fold up underneath before forcibly pushing off the wall of my uterus. That is NOT going to be comfortable in a couple weeks when I start feeling it.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I wanted to take a tour of the hospital I'll be delivering at but they only take appointments on weekday evenings (I work during those times - I'm on a set schedule). I'll have to work something out with my job down the line but I really wanted to do it now lol
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? A SUV would be nice. Our cars are older and not running well so an upgrade would be nice.
Current symptoms? Serious fatigue and intense appetite, both new this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My parents dont know yet and it's killing me. We told my inlaws when they were visiting last week. I made a scavenger hunt for my parents to come home to (they have been on vacation) and the last clue tells them the exciting news. I am dying for them to get home!! I live cross country from my entire family and enlisted the help of a good childhood friend/neighbor to help me pull this off. It's getting harder and harder to talk with them on the phone and not spill the beans!
GTKY- What's one things that you'd like for your baby but it may be out of the budget? enough money so I could be home raising my kids. and the cherry on top would be enough for a larger car to make road trips easier.
