How are you feeling? Any rants/raves? I'm starting to be more sore and every afternoon is a struggle to not take a nap.

How are you feeling? Any rants/raves? This Texas weather is really making things miserable with my allergies. Rant: I do not want to work OT tomorrow. It is such a struggle to work these days. Rave: It is almost 5.
Doctor appointment news or upcoming appointments? next appointment is Tuesday and I am wondering if they are still wanting to induce at 37 weeks or not.

31 weeks. The countdown is on! A pineapple. The most reasonable fruit I've seen from the bump yet.

I feel really good. I still can't believe how much better I feel physically with this baby as opposed to my son.
I do have a rant. My mil is at it again with the being in denial about baby having Ds. I went to visit a potential pediatrician yesterday and she watched DS for me. As soon as I got there to pick him up she was all, "is he going to do genetic testing after she's born? How soon? How long will it take? He told you there's a change she might not have it right?" I just looked at her with an agitated face and said "why does it even matter?"
I wish I could slap the ignorance out of her (she's embarrassed that her grandchild has Ds bc she thinks they aren't capable).

I had my 3 hour glucose test Monday. I called for the results today. One of my draws was high so they said we will discuss it at my next appointment. This kind of annoyed me, I'm so sick of gray areas with my pregnancy. Wish I could get some black or white.
I start going twice weekly a week from Monday since I'm very high risk.

I hope she has my dark hair with DH's beautiful blue eyes. I hope that she will be a girly girl like me and want to dance and sing and wear tutus and want to do her nails (don't flame me for that). I also hope she has a big heart and lots of compassion... I've heard people with Down syndrome are pretty good at that though
@VikingGirl12 Ugh. Sorry about your MIL. That has to be so frustrating for you to hear and deal with. Would she respond to some of the different stories, videos, etc. that people have shared on here or you have seen elsewhere? Something to show her that your daughter will be capable could maybe be helpful.

How are you feeling? Any rants/raves? Feeling fine. Just tired and having a hard time staying asleep. Rant: I feel like I tried really hard to plan and know what to expect in terms of benefits from work. In working to learn more and start setting up leave/disability, I feel like all of the available reading materials and plan information are misleading and I'm pissed. Don't tell me I get 90 days of short term disability and then say, oh wait, its a pregnancy?, you don't actually get that long.
Doctor appointment news or upcoming appointments? Getting my tdap shot this afternoon. Appointment with the peri for an ultrasound in 2 weeks, and I've started seeing the OB every 2 weeks now.

I would love for him to have my patience and empathy. I hope that he is fun-loving and smart like H.

@mrsallikat That stuff is so confusing... Hopefully you have a competent HR and a flexible boss that will be able to sort it out.

Doc every other week now. Next not till the week after next. Whoa!
Intelectual curiosity and and an ability to be grateful and not take things for granted. Hope he will be as calm, patient, and pleasant as my husband.
@kwife15 DH and I saw that pretty soon after we found out! I cried like a baby, I thought it was beautiful. DH didn't like it. He didn't like the fathers attitude after he found out their baby was going to have Ds. He felt like he was being all "yes yes thank you, I came around, I now accept my child". I didn't get that from it at all.

Feeling pretty good. So hard to put on socks and shoes now, and I wake up at like 5ish every morning, but nothing horrible. We are doing an infant class tomorrow, and painting the baby's room on Sunday.

I hope my child inherits my competitive spirit. I also would love my baby to have my blue eyes, but my husband has brown eyes and as do all of his family, and brown eyes are a dominant gene, so the odds are slim.

Rants: starting to have trouble sleeping, back pain, RLP, trouble bending over & heartburn. Nothing I can't deal with so I won't complain.
Raves: Apparently my crazy ass MIL is trying to quit smoking before baby comes!! She won't have too much involvement in LO's life, but this would be one less thing for me to worry about!
Doctor appointment news or upcoming appointments? Next appointment is in a week, have to repeat the GTT since I started this pregnancy overweight. Yuck! All my appointments now are so quick! Just urine, BP, fundal height and baby's heartbeat. Is this everyone else's (not high risk) experience?

(Stolen from a few different days this week) I want my LO to inherit my resilience, sense of humor and compassion. I hope they get my husbands work ethic, intellectual curiosity and patience. If we could throw my green eyes in (DH has brown) that would be great too!

I'm sore. Between my back killing me & RLP, it's just not a pretty picture. I would love for the weather to warm up (& stay warm) so I can stop wearing socks. It's becoming a major battle to get them on every day. I can't imagine how I'm going to get bigger when I already can't do so much, lol. And the exhaustion is real...I have so much trouble sleeping through the night (last night I was wide awake from 2 - 4:30, fun!), & by mid afternoon I'm so tired I can't even function.
Raves...H & I are going to Ikea today to get some final things for the nursery!

My next appointment is this Thursday (the 7th), & that's when I will find out about how closely he wants to monitor me, & we will probably (hopefully?) schedule the next u/s.

I hope he is kind & compassionate, as H & I both are (sometimes to a fault). I hope he chooses to make a positive difference/impact, however that may be. I hope he's polite.
Physically, I hope he gets he gets H's eyes. Mine would be good, too (they're dark blue), but H's are bright green...they're gorgeous, & he's got long lashes, too!

ETA: I just saw a video on Facebook of a girl with DS getting a letter of acceptance to college. People with DS can do anything and I can't wait to hear stories of your daughter proving your MIL wrong over and over again with everything she accomplishes.
@laurenm2123, that's basically all my appointments are right now too. Unless I ask questions.
How are you feeling? Any rants/raves? Feeling good but very large... I can't imagine 12 more weeks of my belly getting any bigger I already feel ridiculous!!! Also, went shopping yesterday with my mom for some more maternity clothes & nursing tops. My boobs are already too big for many nursing tops... And this is pre-milk coming in!! Ughh how can they get bigger?!

Hope baby gets my academic/work ambition.
How are you feeling? Any rants/raves? I'm feeling okay just feel huge and like @DeePaddy24 said I can't do a lot of things already and can't imagine the next 12 weeks! Socks really suck and this weather is not cooperative. My allergies are terrible today but now it's snowing...WTF!! Also the home-buying process sucks right now. Sorry for all the rants!!
Doctor appointment news or upcoming appointments? Had an appointment yesterday and had the GTT and got my Tdap. I thought I would be going every 2 weeks now but he said to do 1 more 4 week visit then every 2 weeks
