My husband and I are looking at the City Select by Baby Jogger or the Ubbababy Vista. We want something that will grow with our family and that will eliminate the need for 2, 3 or 4 strollers for different outings. I am a FTM. Does anyone have suggestions or opinions? Thanks!
Re: Strollers
But, I'll add that all these strollers tend to be heavy and clunky. We eventually got an umbrella stroller for when she was older and wanted something light and easily moved around. And now that I'm having my second, I have doubts about the britax (it's going to be even heavier!!). My dream stroller is the maclaren twin techno, but it's expensive and I'm not sold yet.

The bassinet is approved for overnight sleeping which is a really great feature.
The stroller is sort of heavy- that's the one downside IMO.
I didn't really look into the City Select much but I know there is a significant difference in price which is something to consider.

My only complaint about the Vista is the size of the wheels on the stroller, but since I don't really have any others to compare it to, perhaps this is a common complaint. When I would go to various stores, a lot of them are not necessarily set up for the wideness of the stroller (I'm talking more about mall stores, not grocery stores, etc). I felt like I was constantly bumping into things trying to maneuver it around.
I think any carseat/stroller system that just lets you move the bucket seat from the car to the stroller is a genius idea, that way when your infant falls asleep in the car you don't have to jostle them to get them out.
Plus the bassinet is safe for overnight sleeping, which I love.
The sidewalks in our town are too narrow to accommodate a double wide stroller.
My neighbor has it for her kids (now 1 and 2.5yrs) and I love using it. It's very comfy for both of them and easy to maneuver through the apartment building or into restaurants. When the kids climb on it, the weight is actually a benefit as it doesn't tip over. We've also got the bassinet stand and will be using the bassinet as baby's first sleeper until the crib goes up in August. (The stand then turns into a sturdy hamper rack) Since we are planning a second baby a year after this one, it was a great choice for us due to familiarity, practicality, warranty, multi-function, and uppababy's customer service support.

We had to buy a new car seat that is compatible with this stroller so we went for the maxi-cosi one.
Overall i recommend this stroller and if you are planning to have another baby even more.
I had to share in my excitement with you. Especially because I didn't see any other mamas and papas strollers mentioned.
