Question: Does anyone's doctor recommend for them to do kegels? My doctor never said a word about them but I know every pregnancy app yells at you to do them. I read an article last pregnancy that actually said squats were more effective for pelvic floor strength. Just curious what others have heard and what you all think.
@EmmieAnn22 most of the OB's at my practice recommended them last time (I was seeing 7 OB's on rotation) but I'll be honest I maybe did them a total of 10 times throughout my entire pregnancy last time. I would like to try to start doing them regularly with this pregnancy but I never remember...maybe I'll set my alarm before bed or something lol.
Squats...hmmm I'll look into that...thanks!
Keep up a mix of weights, running, and yoga. Ima actually going to a yoga retreat all Saturday which is something I have never done before so I'm not really sure what to expect.
Can't think of any.
Not great but I had really bad sinus congestion and felt resting up was important to kick it.
I have a prenatal yoga dvd tha I did occasionally during my first pregnancy when regular yoga got uncomfortable. It felt too easy at first but otherwise good. I can't remember who made it.
I'm mostly a believer in continuing any exercise you were doing before getting pregnant and listening to your body to adjust as needed versus prenatal specific work outs.
What is your Health/Nutrition Goal for the week? Eat more vegetables and fruits, really just not as many CARBS.

Resist the urge to eat pizza and wings. 2 cheat meals for the week.
4 1 hour workouts this week.
Pizza and wings. AND i am sooo bloated that working out has been tough, but I'm getting it done!
Well, I got 2 work-outs in. My food choices were not soo great.
I honestly don't know why a pre-natal DVD is? someone please explain!
... I will try.
@Jazz1016 a Prenatal DVD is a fitness DVD specifically filmed for pregnant woman. Many woman opt to continue their regular workout DVDs and just alter certain moves as necessary but for woman who are new to working out or are nervous about possibly injuring themselves or the baby, due to poor form etc, then a Prental DVD is the way to go.

TTC#2 April 2019Im not doing too bad this week. Food is the hardest but mostly because I don't want to eat. I'm just past 9 weeks and haven't gained at all and with my last pregnancy I was up 10ish pounds by this point.
I managed the the gym twice this week but canceled with my trainer this morning due to a headache. So overall I'm proud of myself. And I think everyone should be proud even if you don't hit your goals. Pregnancy is hard and draining at times at least we are all trying.

how are you liking your barre classes now that you're pregnant? I was going to barre for a few months this winter but had to stop at the beginning of February due to a wrist injury. I got the okay from both doctors to go back now, but I'm so nervous about it. Do you do anything differently? Use a ball to support your back?
I might have done a bit too much yesterday lifting weights and got a little freaked out...I got unexpectedly winded and slightly dizzy. I when I slowed down/took longer breaks between sets I felt better. Definitely something to work on.
Not doing great on eating more vegetables. I'm buying groceries today and can hopefully get myself some more options.
