I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I have been reading on these boards for months but never had the courage to post. I am 29 and was diagnosed with Kallmann's Syndrome when I was 17. I married DH in 2011. We were NTNP for the first 4 years and finally saw my RE last July. It has been a long road so far testing different treatments with very little progress. We are on our 5th cycle with injections. We just added PIO and estrace for my 2ww, and let's be honest, needles are tough for me so it's already been hard enough. 
Kallmann's syndrome is basically delayed puberty, anovulation, and no sense of smell. I have never even had af without medication so it's basically like puberty and trying to get pregnant at the same time. It is very rare already but is 5 times more common in males so there is almost no information or literature about it even for my RE.  Oh and I work in the child welfare field so I am surrounded by people who take their children for granted every day. 
I am just looking forward to having support from people that really get it and don't just have that pity look when I talk about it.

    Welcome! The ladies here are great, so I'm sure you will get the support you need. I'm glad you posted and I hope your make more progress with your treatment.

    Clomid round #4 of 150 mg followed by
    First Ovidrel trigger shot February 10, 2016
    First IUI February 12, 2016 Negative
    Started Letrozole 5mg round #1 February 23
    Began additional Letrozole 5mg + Dexamethasone 1 mg March 8
    Ovidrel trigger shot March 16
    IUI #2 March 18 with progesterone suppositories beginning March 19
    Positive HPT April 2 Praise God!!! :)
    Estimated Due Date: December 8

    Good luck with your treatment @BenNSarah! I just did my first injectable trigger shot this cycle and really had to work up my nerve to do it, so I can imagine the difficulty with frequent injectables :/ Fingers and toes crossed for you!

    Welcome @BenNSarah!  I hope these treatments will get you your BFP soon!  Are you doing TI or IUI?

    Welcome @BenNSarah !!! Wow, never heard of your condition, but I hope you find great comfort in this community. I know I have! I'm glad you had the courage to post. :) Are you starting any kind of treatment cycle soon, or where are you in the ttc journey presently?

    Diagnosis: Endometriosis

    • 2012 - 3 Rounds clomid - all BFN
    • 2013 - 1 Fresh IVF with 2 day 3 embryos - BFN
    • 2014 - 1 Frozen IVF with 2 day 5 embryos - BFN
    • Took a long break, continuing trying naturally
    • Feb 2016 - Biopsy = Endo, DH sperm improved from 1% to 6% morphology
    • March 2016 - Fresh IVF cycle with acupuncture & intralipids: 20 eggs retrieved (17 mature), 7 ICSI'd fertilized, 9 naturally fertilized. 16 total embryos!
    • April 8th - 2 embryos (1ICSI and 1 Natural) transferred. (7 blastocysts frozen), April 18th - Beta = BFN
    • Sept 23rd - Lupron Depot Injection for Endo control
    • Nov 15th 2016 - Started daily Lupron Injections for upcoming FET
    • Nov 22 - Baseline US/BW - Intralipid Infusion - Start Meds for FET with immune protocol
    • Dec 16th FET transfer of 3 embryos (1 - AA, 2 - BB)

    • Dec 22nd - first ever bfp (very faint lines FRER & cheapie)

    @wifeinraleigh28  we are doing TI for the fourth cycle now, maybe switching to IUI next cycle. 

    @oxinfree I am on my 5th cycle day 8. First cycle we stimmed 20 days with no follicles so we did estrogen priming for 3 months. Cycle 2 we did stimming 26 days before getting mature follicles, cycle 3 was 16 days and last cycle was 19. No luck so far but more progress than no follicles at all. I have a really high dose of menopur too (375 iu). So the shorter cycles the better. Hoping for good progress Wednesday.

    Welcome! I hope your stay here is short! This is a wonderful board of very empathetic and knowledgable women, and while we all have our own individual journeys, we all can relate to each other in how we are feeling. I can't imagine how tough it is to be in the child welfare field while TTC. I hope you make sure to take plenty of time to take care of yourself!
