I hope this is my last weekly update...!

    Week/Baby Size: 39 weeks...just whoa...

Symptoms: This pelvic pressure/pain is unreal but I'm surviving, struggling to tell the difference between her moving and BH, a few random painful contractions, and I just don't sleep anymore, ever.

Rants/Raves/Stories: I keep catching DH watching me out of the corner of his eye and when I call him on it he just grins :) Also DD is a mixture of excitement and uncertainty, mostly excitement. She "shares" all her toys with everyone in the family, we all have to have something (DH, myself, the dog) and she ALWAYS gives something to her sister, shoving it at my stomach, saying "Here you go, baby sister!" Melts my heart  <3

Upcoming Appointments: This afternoon, hoping it will be my last! If I didn't need to stay out of the hospital until 12:01am Friday I'd ask him to sweep my membranes...

Questions: Any other STMs+ feeling a bit panicked over trying to keep a schedule with a newborn and older sibling(s)?

GTKY: Maybe Princess Diana? As a philanthropist I feel like it would be a much more interesting conversation than with someone who was just famous.

  • Week/Baby Size: 39 weeks; a small watermelon. Yay for full term day!

Symptoms: I continue to feel well, thankfully. I've developed a mild lactose intolerance in the past few weeks, so yesterday I was uncomfortable all day from gas dissension after having milk in my morning oatmeal… But today I'm feeling good again.

Rants/Raves/Stories: I can't believe my boy can be here any day now!  I'm pumped! Also, tomorrow is my last day of work, and my parents arrive from Brazil this weekend!

The funny story is that husband - not me - is nesting like crazy!!!!!! It is so funny to watch!!! Two nights ago he was all anxious and fidgety saying the house was a mess (it was not), and wanted to start cleaning late at night. I didn't let him, so he proceeded to organize all photos on his computer by dates and events as he just needed to organize SOMETHING. Today he wants to make several batches of veggie burgers to freeze. LOL

Upcoming Appointments: Yesterday, everything was ok. We'll see about the need for the next one depending on baby boy's arrival. :)

Questions: STMs, any last minute previous advice for me? :D

GTKY: Dinner date with any celebrity (make it a little easier and say only 20th-21st century), living or dead, who is it going to be? Bono Vox! And William Osler. :D

    Week/Baby Size: 38 weeks, pumpkin

Symptoms: Sciatica has started up and my right hip & leg are numb

Rants/Raves/Stories: I found out last week that this LO has flipped breech ughhhh so my VBAC hopes are fleeting. I'm really bummed.

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow morning. Going to discuss switching my RCS from a back up plan in week 41 to closer to my EDD.

Questions: @imrachelleaa I am concerned about that too. DS isn't on a strict schedule, but I'm usually the one who does bed time so I'm worried about how that will go. DS also has some special needs and gets several weekly therapies, so I'm stressing out a little about how to handle that with a new little one too.

GTKY: I have no idea. Maybe JK Rowling, it would be interesting to talk to her about how her imagination has made such an impact.

  • Week/size: 39 weeks! And this is my last Wednesday ticker change! C-section on Monday and I finally get to meet baby boy!

Symptoms: Numb right hip.. Achy.. Swollen... Aka pregnant.

Rants/Raves/Stories: My MIL is making me crazy!! Just STOP lady. This c-section is it the end of the world.

    Upcoming appointments: None!

GTKY: Hmmm... James Taylor.. Because I'm listening to his music on repeat these days.

Week/Baby Size: 39 weeks! Also hoping this is my last, I haven't mentally prepped myself to go past 40 weeks since I didn't with DD

Symptoms: feeling pretty great considering this is the home stretch. Occasional period like cramping and Braxton hicks.

Rants/Raves/Stories: we went under contract on a house over the weekend! We will be moving across the country a couple of months after DS is born so this is a huge weight off of our shoulders - my realtor said I can start virtually nesting now!

Upcoming Appointments: today at 11, not expecting much excitement

     Questions:

GTKY: Dinner date with any celebrity (make it a little easier and say only 20th-21st century), living or dead, who is it going to be? Good question - I would probably say either FDR or Pope Francis. However, there is a small part of me that would say J R Martin if he would tell me how Game of Thrones ends!

  • Week/Baby Size: 39 weeks, watermelon or a 4/4 violin

Symptoms: Just lots of peeing and lower pressure for the most part. Still some heartburn at night.

Rants/Raves/Stories: Had my membranes swept yesterday. NP told me there may be spotting, but I had a lot of dark blood last night and actually contractions so I called my office (because it was dark, not bright red) and they asked me to go in, just in case. We were there for an hour, I was/ am having pretty hard contractions, just not close enough. So we came home and now we wait.

I am kind of disappointed, I am all for her staying in if she needs to,but since I now have to see a neonatal specialist about my US yesterday, I really just want her out since I can't seem to get bigger and she needs more room to grow.

Upcoming Appointments: If she doesn't come over the weekend, Monday at 945 with the neonatal specialist for the repeat ultrasound.

    Questions: Nada

GTKY: Dinner date with any celebrity (make it a little easier and say only 20th-21st century), living or dead, who is it going to be? Tim Burton, love his movies! Read his biography and watched his interviews. He is such an interesting person.

  • Week/Baby Size: 38 / pumpkin

    Symptoms: heartburn, BH, and fatigue

Rants/Raves/Stories: Apparently baby thought it would be funny to get the cord wrapped around his/her neck :(  They found this yesterday during my US at the hospital to check baby's growth.  I was put on a monitor for 20 minutes to make sure it wasn't interfering with the heart beat.  Baby still moves as much as before, the heart beat/rate was excellent.  The Dr said that sometimes this just happens based on how the baby moves around and that baby could very well untangle his/herself.  Still makes me worried/scared/nervous.

Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow with my OB and Friday at the hospital to follow up from the growth scan I had Tuesday.

Questions:  Can I be done being pregnant now?

GTKY: Dinner date with any celebrity (make it a little easier and say only 20th-21st century), living or dead, who is it going to be? Neil deGrasse Tyson for sure.  I could listen to him talk for hours about the planets, the solar system, space beyond our system.  He also seems like a very down to Earth individual.

    Bono Vox = U2 vocalist .
William Osler: The father of modern Medicine. :D

  • Lol totally assumed father of modern medicine was Hippocrates!

And I should have known Bono, I guess I didn't consider the fact that he has a last name. Haha.. I'll forgive you for liking one of the most awful bands in existence just because he's such a great humanitarian.. but U2? Really? I still can't get that wretched album off of my iPhone.

Hippocrates is the father of Medicine... William Osler is the father of "modern" Medicine (and a Canadian!)
